Review

The Price of Partisanship is a political thriller by Ian Conner. I enjoyed reading this book, despite the roller coaster ride that stirred up emotions in me. I don’t think that Alex is a monster at all because he didn’t eliminate people, he eliminated monsters who don’t fit in the human category of species.

I’m giving this book 5 out of 5 stars. I love how it was meticulously written to make it realistic. The story was such an imaginative way to give corrupt politicians the bad karma that they deserve. I highly recommend this book to readers who are interested in political thrillers.

A man's search for revenge. Ian Conner writes great political thrillers. This being just one. When government shutdowns cause the death of his family, a man takes action. The more I read, the more I realized this could and probably has happened. It's scary to realize that people in Washington have the power of life and death.

The plot was very seamless and the action was unpredictable. I don't get around much politically based books but this one is really good!

In wake of mounting aggression toward the government in the real world, Ian Conner's The Price of Partisanship takes an extreme approach towards eradicating corruption from the Government. Alex Conway, a man afflicted by the pain of his family’s demise due to government negligence, decides to take justice into his own hands and punish those otherwise immune in the government. On his quest, he meets Tara Snow and they join teams. The book provides a cathartic escape to the common people tired of the government.

The book has a great premise and encapsulates the wild imagination of people these days. Our anti-hero has a distorted sense of being a vigilante. He isn’t past killing and taking extreme measures to drive home his point. The character puts the reader in an awkward conundrum where the reader can not agree with his methods, but at the same time sympathizes with his pain.

However, there still were a few points where the author can improve. The central romance seemed a little fabricated and out of the blue. The author should have built more on the romance. Another point was that too many characters were introduced at once. It was difficult to keep a track of the many characters.

All over, I am giving The Price of Partisanship 4 out of 5 stars. The book has a few things to work upon, but nevertheless, it comes out to be a great read. The book has many badass characters that are a delight to read about. The book is full of fun plots. On every page, something new and crazy is happening. It never feels boring. You should definitely give it a try!
