Adam is the next Beaulieu vampire heir, but the day he's slated to receive his bite, his father informs him he'll be going to the vampire school instead. While still human.
But Adam is resourceful. He sticks his nose into school business, trying to make a good impression--determined to get his fangs.
There are so many hoops to jump through, and each misstep adds one more thing to Adam's growing list of goals--the girl, the power, the freedom.
Adam wants it all, but he'll have to wade through family, ambition, and a vampire world that doesn't have room for another young upstart who hasn't even cut his teeth.
Half Blooded was originally published in the Magic Academy anthology as the short story A New Heritage, but has been expanded and revised as a companion novella to the Shifting Alliances series. This series is part of the Shifter Academy world, established by the Siren Prophecy series, but can be read independently.
Angel Leya is a hopeless romantic who’s been dreaming about her OTP (one true pairing) for as long as she can remember. She’s a lover of the paranormal and believer in the supernatural, and she infuses all her stories with at least a touch of that magic.
Leya is a USA Today bestselling author and Readers’ Favorite 5-star recipient.
Her claim to letters came from joining the Shifter Academy universe with four other incredible authors, all of whom are bestsellers and/or award winners in the paranormal romance and urban fantasy genres. You can learn more at www.TheShifterAcademy.com.
When not writing, she can be found reading, binging on sweets, and reigning over her four beautiful children like the evil queen she’s always wanted to be (just ask them).
Although she tries to read widely, she prefers her books from the young adult category, like JK Rowling’s Harry Potter series, Suzanne Collin’s Hunger Games, and AL Knorr’s Elemental Origins series.
Great for teenagers and young adults. Addictive interesting Grammar and discription needs improvement. Plot of the story gets shifty at times but over all a very good book
I read this story before it was expanded, when it was called, A New Heritage. It's even more amazing now! I loved reading more of Adam's story. He's one of those characters from the Shifter Academy universe that you're supposed to hate because he's on the evil vampire's side, but he's a pretty charming and intriguing character which is more apparent when you get his story from his point of view. The expanded version of his story was even better than it was before and I love how it all ties into the Shifting Alliances story line. I look forward to seeing what comes next.
