The Best of Both Worlds #2

Under the Wrapping

Rate this book
Santa brought Susanna her Christmas gift early - both of her roommates. The question now is what she's to do with both of them and how they can make a relationship work with three people. Yet, they're all ready and willing to cross those lines and form a triad of love and passion. Susanna will just have to wait and see how this steamy holiday will turn out.

Caiden is quite happy with the new arrangement, even willing to sacrifice his dislike for his roommate's lifestyle in order to be with the woman he can't live without. After all, the entire love-triangle was his idea.

As with everything else he does, Brandon throws everything he can into this new dynamic with his roommates, even to the point of reining in his desire for a fullblown dominant/submissive relationship. Yet, his phone keeps ringing, but he never answers it.

Susanna doesn't question it until Molly Bennet, Brandon's former submissive, appears in Susanna's store just before Christmas wanting to give Brandon her own special gift.

I live in sunny Florida where I spend my days taxiing the family to various places while jotting down the many crazy thoughts inside my head. I enjoy a freelance career writing for several magazines sharing some of my interesting viewpoints on life and those around me. I can usually be found on my back porch watching the squirrels chittering at the birds while enjoying a cigar, a scotch, and the many characters that talk to me inside my head.

I liked the first book, and I don't know for sure I can say why I liked this one better, but I did. I'm thinking the characters felt more real and solid in this one. I certainly think you pick up both and read them back to back. There are a lot of things I like about this author, but one of the best things about his books is his ability to explore human relationships in an honest and entertaining way.

In the first book in this series, Susanna finds herself in a relationship predicament between herself and her two roommates, Caiden and Brandon. Making her Christmas wish to Santa and dropping it in his mail box, she soon realizes that her wish to have and love both men has come true. This new , exciting , heat filled relationship still has many kinks to work out and the story nearly combusts with the anticipation of working those kinks out.
Caiden is willing to enter into this three way love in order to keep the girl that he loves. He doesn’t understand or care too much for Brandon’s Dom/Sub lifestyle, but is willing to keep an open mind to stay with Susanna. Brandon doesn’t want to share either , but does not want to lose his best friend or his new Sub,that he not only wants to introduce more of his passion filled ways to, but he actually loves her and is willing to rein in his passions to keep the three of them on an even keel.
Just when Susanna thinks that she has all that she asks for , Brandon’s former Sub, Molly, shows up wanting to give Brandon a special gift of his own. Panicked, Susanna wonders what this will do to the threesome’s new, more comfortable pact.
Robbie Cox writes passionate stories that open the readers eyes to other worlds that they may not know about, and to Christmas wishes that may give you more than you knew you wanted. Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it!

UNDER THE WRAPPING is the second book in the Best of Both Worlds series. This is a continuation and must be read after reading RIBBONS AND BOWS.

This is an absolutely enjoyable and fun Christmas story that explores the burgeoning polyamory relationship between Susanna, Brandon, and Caiden. She truly has received the best of both worlds. With Caiden, the Florida surfer and college professor, she has sweet romance and with Brandon, she has the discipline of the Dom-sub relationship.

Of course, into any relationship there are bumps (and bruises – whether physical or mental). Communication is the key, no matter the type of bond, and a new dynamic is especially fragile.

When Molly, Brandon’s former sub, thought she could just sashay back into their lives, I wanted slap the spit out of her! I was hurt on Susanna’s behalf at Brandon’s initial reaction.

I won’t say more, because I think you should pick up the book and read it (and Ribbons and Bows, if you haven’t already). That’s my final word: Pick up the book… or books… and read them. I predict you won’t be sorry.

Note: While I received this book as a gifted copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

This is the second book in the "Best of Both Worlds" series. We left the roommates as they were just coming to terms with wanting to stay together.

So how will it work? What about the small things? Will she actually be okay with being with both Brandon and Caiden now that they know?

All of those questions and many more were answered. There are still some things that linger, and that is expected. Life isn't perfect and just when I thought this book may be getting a little too sappy, Robbie throws a wrench in their relatively perfect lives. A rather large wrench, and on the worst time possible. But of course the book had to have some form of conflict, it couldn't all be sex and breakfast.

I think that the way this book flowed from perfect to not perfect and on to the ending really reflects how life is, it is messy, it is sad, it is funny, and it is loving. It is the little things that are important as well as the much bigger things.

Overall I think this is a great wrap up to what happened in the first book and really sets how the triad may or may not function in the future.

Susanna, Brandon and Caiden are back from book one, Ribbons and Bows. Susanna got what she wished for but how could this possibly work? And for how long? As with any relationship there are questions, surprises and the need for communication. Under the Wrapping is no different, in that sense. However, it is different in that the relationship dynamic isn’t traditional. In this series, Best of Both Worlds, Robbie Cox opens our eyes to a different kind of love, which makes a few people in this story very happy.

“In today’s world, there is no such thing as weird when it comes to relationships. You just have to find what works for you and go for it.”

I love the way Cox was able to describe Caiden and Brandon perfectly in just one sentence:

“Caiden was a destination guy, whereas Brandon was all about the journey.”

Definitely worth the read!

Continuing where we left at Ribbons and Bows the trio of roommates decide to move forward. There are going to be some hurdles, more than they expect I believe. Susanna gains her freedom in loving both men how they deserve, and the guys continue to be hers, as she is theirs. Wrapped around the holidays we feel the pressures that Susanna has, not so much the guys. There is a distinct absence of "job pressures" from the guys, this is just noticed now that I am not reading the story. It makes me wonder if the author is going to continue with this triad story. Simple celebrations accompany their new life together and I can seem some traditions and new ones continuing and beginning. A great continuation of love that has no boundaries and what we make of it.

Great sequel. A charming way to continue the initial book ''Ribbons & Bows''. The characters are very likeable and their dialogue and interaction intelligent, natural and very dedicated to each other. The book was interesting, absorbing and described the feelings and attitudes of all 3 of the parties involved. The story was a fitting continuation of the first book and I enjoyed finding out how their lives have developed in the new kind of ''family'' unit they have created. Reading about the tolerance and understanding each of the main characters had for each other's differences was a great page-turner.
I highly recommend this book. Good editing enhanced the experience.

Amazing Addition

I just loved this continuation as much as I loved the first story. This story just made me laugh and even cry happy tears at the end. I was wondering for awhile if there was going to be any major drama, but Robbie didn't let me down in that department.

They all were willing to work thru everything that came in their path and they are genuinely happy and that's always the best...But will the added drama ruin that happiness? You must join me in the reading to find out.

Until Next Time... Tabi

Everything is not as wrapped up as she thought

Under the Wrapping is the second book in The Best of Both Worlds duet and is the continuation from Ribbons & Bows. The story of roommates and more Susanna, Caiden and Brandon. She may have thought that things were sorted out but not all is going to quite as smoothly as Susanna would have wished. These three have some major chemistry and the story is fun and entertaining. This was a really nice book and a good duet.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own

Loved! Under the Wrapping picks up where Ribbons and Bows left off so be sure to read it first. I loved the interactions between Susanna, Brandon and Caiden. There was heat, a little comedy, oh and a person I wanted to slap (that would be Brandon's former sub). I did not put this book down, I was so absorbed by the story that it was over before I was able to stop.

I enjoyed this second book regarding this triad. The storyline has lots of twist and turns to keep it moving and entertaining. The characters are well developed and engaging and are working on creating a love that is true and strong. I hope the author brings as updates regarding them as their life’s progress.

An emotional second chance romance with a twist.💞💖💞

Susanna has fallen in love with Caiden and Brandon, both of whom are her roommates and her lovers. But neither knew she was with the other. What happens when they find out? They have to discover if they work as a triad/triangle. 💗🔥💕

This is the second book in the Best of Both Worlds series and should be read in the order they were written. 😉❣️

This is a continuation from the first book. The roommates have all accepted the idea of a threesome and everything is working out great even though the guys have different lifestyles. There is just enough drama within it to keep you fully involved.

This is book two in The Best of Both Worlds Series. It continues with the adjustments of Susanna, Brandon, and Caiden with their unique ménage. Susanna feels this is Santa’s gift to her. Brandon is revisited by someone from his past. Interesting, cute, and sexy story with three totally different characters. Good read!

This is the second book in this series and I do recommend reading them in order. This read continues where the previous book ended. Caiden, Brandon and Susanna are going through the process learning how to be in a relationship that involves three people. The chemistry is hot between them but will Brandon’s previous sub ruin things for them? Fun, steamy and entertaining. I liked it.

I enjoyed reading this second and last book in this series. Now that Susanna has the gift she wanted most (her two men who she loves), they have to navigate what their relationship will be like as they go along. Fortunately, they agree as things progress and their Christmas is great even though Brandon's ex submissive shows up. A great happy ending!

Way better than the first. A continuation of the love story with great sexual content and just enough drama. Although, maybe the friend has a story and we get to revisit these guys?
