From the #1 Kindle unlimited bestselling comedy series … the PERFECT funny read for cosy evenings in.

When Juliette Duffy became a single mother, she felt like her world had ended. Dreams of rose-covered cottages, rolling pins and two parents living with their own biological child were well and truly shattered.

But now Juliette is engaged to her childhood sweetheart, Alex Dalton, and everything is looking up. Juliette can’t wait to marry Alex and live happily ever after at the Dalton Estate.

The trouble is, Juliette isn’t the only one getting married this year. Her ex-partner, Nick, is getting married too and is trying his hardest to sabotage Juliette’s wedding day. Plus, there’s the small matter of the global Covid-19 pandemic.

Will Juliette get the wedding of her dreams? Or will Nick succeed in ruining yet another wedding day?

Wednesday 24th June
Another meeting with our wedding planner today – this time about party favours.
Cressida showed us cute little hangover kits, personalised wine glasses, mini champagne bottles, chocolate truffle boxes, watches, toiletries, all sorts. There was even a monogrammed rum and Coca Cola can and a little treasure chest of sugared almonds, should we choose a Caribbean destination wedding.
When Nick and I got married, all we thought about was drink, food and the church, in that order.
Who knew there was so much sparkle and magic in the wedding world?

Perfect for Jill Mansell and Unmumsy Mum fans. Can be read as a stand-along novel or as part of the series. Download this Kindle Unlimited comedy as part of your subscription.

These certainly don't dissapoint! I devoured the rest of the series in a weekend as they're sooooo good. This is the follow on from The bad mothers virus, which continued with the Coronavirus storyline, going into lockdown, government laws & other current events that were happening at the time of writing. Laugh out loud funny in places & I found myself stressing along with Juliette with her (and Nicks) wedding plans.

As soon as you start reading it's like coming home to your dysfunctional (I mean, who's isn't 🤷‍♀️) family & it's like you've never been away. I so hope that this isn't the last book, will there be a Bad mothers honeymoon or Bad mothers baby?

The last in the series (though I have seen the prequel novella that is floating about, too...) and what an ending!
Obviously, we have been gearing up for a wedding, but there have been so many will they/won't they moments over the last couple of books, what with moody fiances, needy exes, troublesome in-laws and, well, the pandemic!
Well, this last tale details the awfulness of trying to get married during the pandemic. Remember the waits for that Monday announcement from BoJo and his gang, as we all waited to see which of our life occasions they were going to ruin this time... And it is all done in such style!
Juliette always has a lot to deal with, what with her family, her exes family and her in-laws to be, and trying to please everyone is never going to be easy. Something tells me that Juliette doesn't like easy!
There are some hairy moments, but the ending is lovely!
I'll miss the Bad Mother gang, truth be told!

FINALLY I'm done with this series. The main reason why I've put up with this is because I bought the series pack on Amazon and I already had them all on my Kindle. But what a piece of nonsense!

First, this "comedic" characters and plots didn't make me laugh once. Their exaggerated everything is just so crazy and unbelievable that I just couldn't. The plot goes over the same things as in the past, there's really nothing new. At all.

I don't really have anything else to say because I don't think it's even worthy of more of my time. Bye, Juliette and family. I won't miss you.

I do the the Authors writing style - I love how its in a Diary, But whatever can go wrong does for Juliette Duffy..... How catering Maintains a friendship with Helen after all she does, And Juliette can be a bit immature and Spoils Daisy way too much.... but maybe thats the beauty of the book too that nobody is perfect.....

The Bad Mother’s Wedding by Suzy K Quinn is a delightful contemporary novel. It is the fifth book in the Bad Mother’s series but can be read as a stand-alone. It is the first book in the series that I have read and now I REALLY want to read the books 1-4.
The style is in the form of a diary so we become intimately acquainted with the lead character. We know her thoughts and opinions on all things. It really does feel like we are sneaking a peak into her life.
2020 has been a year like no other. We all need a lift in our spirits and The Bad Mother’s Wedding is the book to do it. The action mirrors the actual events of the pandemic and is therefore easy to identify with. Imagine the difficulties trying to plan a wedding. It felt like road blocks were continually being thrown up. Plans had to be flexible and adaptable. Stress levels were high.
There is a wonderful eclectic mix of characters, just as you would find among any family and friends. We meet the smarmy ex and his mother, the enthusiastic wedding planner, the delightful three years old and many more. Suzy K Quinn has perfectly captured a rich variety of mannerisms eliciting various emotional responses from the reader.
The Bad Mother’s Wedding was a really fun read. The pandemic makes the book easy to relate to and the lead character easy to empathise with. The result of this is the reader feels as if they are ‘walking’ through the action.
Suzy K Quinn’s style is easy going and personable. I cannot wait to read more by her.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.

The Bad Mother's Wedding is part of series but can easily be read as a stand alone book.

Written in the style of someone's personal diary, we get to see how Juliette deals with organising her wedding whilst navigating her way through lockdown.

Packed full of humour and brilliantly witty dialogue, this story is simple yet thoroughly entertaining.

I found myself nodding and chuckling at all of the references to Covid and how I imagine many other people were/are feeling over the whole unknown of it all.

This book as well as the others in this series are what I'd describe as perfect escapism. They have a shopaholic vibe about them (another series that I adore.).

A little companion to provide some much needed positivity in these uncertain times.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

2020 not the greatest year

Even though 2020 has been a strange year to day the least and has been so very testing in every way imaginable reading this book and revisiting the days just makes you realise that yes soo many people have suffered loss in different says but as a nation and individual communities there has also been the most incredible moments of humanity shown from the HGV Drivers the supermarket staff to the amazing NHS staff and every single volunteer and neighbours. The way Suzie Quinn writes with humour but also the emotional impact of this year and the highs and lows we all felt together ❤
A truly amazing read that from the beginning of the Bad Mothers Diary series portrays real life that we can all Relate too.
Romance, Comedy, Sorrow, Humility and Love.
A definite read.

Love this series of books, found them last year in lockdown and how far we've come since the pandemic started, reading back on it all is just mad to think of at this moment.
Hopefully people will learn sooner than later that it's not hard to just listen and maybe someday soon things will go back to normal and this will all just be a very crazy, hard and emotional time that we look back on.

'Who could imagine sitting on a bench eating ice cream would be such a luxury? But it is. Feel very lucky to be coming out of lockdown, slowly but surely.'

'To me, being classy means wearing uncomfortable clothing, spending a ludicrous amount of time and money on personal grooming, thinking before you speak and eating small portions in a slow, dignified way. None of these things appeal.'

Hilariously good read

There aren't many books that make me laugh out loud but Suzy K Quinn's books always deliver the laughs. This is such a funny and comforting read that I couldn't resist with a daily mug of cocoa until I'd finished it. I loved reading about Juliette's wedding escapades and discovering my favourite characters all over again. The element of Corona Virus and lockdown was highly relatable and realistic, giving the whole book a contemporary edge that made me feel I was living it along with the characters. Just brilliant.

Brilliant!

I love the Bad Mother's series and when I had the email telling me about this latest instalment, I couldn't wait to read it. Suzy Quinn hasn't disappointed: Bad Mother's Wedding is bang up to date, seamlessly blending fact with fiction, funny, and a joy to read in these strange and unprecedented times. Thank you Suzy! I hope we get to hear more from Juliette and her mad, crazy, loveable family.

I love a bad mother!!

I have absolutely loved every book in the bad mother series, this one included. I love the characters so much. However I don't feel this one is as good as the others, maybe it's the whole covid thing? Maybe it's a bit too soon, maybe I've just had enough of hearing about it and read for escapism. I don't know, it could be me not the story? I just felt it wasn't as laughable. But hay ho I enjoyed it and hope there will be more to come.

Read it in a day

Have just read bad mothers virus and wedding in 2 days, I'm having to isolate at the moment and these books have made me smile in such a gloomy time that we are all going through. Couldn't put them down but wish I had as I would still be lost in the Juliette and Alex will they won't they story. Great great read

I waited all year for this and it did not dissapoint! Returning to the lives of Juliet and Alex is like returning to your own dysfunctional family.
This book is laugh out loud funny and full of relatable characters, even more so as the pandemic has been written in to the story line.
I can't wait for the next book...hoping it's The Bad Mother's Pregnancy #2!

Suzy Quinn has done it again

This woman never fails to cheer me up with her books I love how friendly and the way she communicates with her readers. I adore Juliettes family and was really rooting for her wedding but as its written during the pandemic there's a few mishaps along the way. It's a fab read

Suzy Quinn sharing another fabulous chapter in this hiccup filled life of a modern young woman that we are all rooting for. Reading the trials she goes through to get her through lock down to a will it / won't it happen wedding. So many brides must be able to share this latest chapter in her life. But what's next ? Are we back to another mad mothers pregnancy or do we have yet more to.come ? Hurry up Suzy & let us know !

Decent finale

Although in previous books I have felt Alex to be a giant jerk, after dealing with all of Juliette's madness, he's actually pretty ok. She is still a nutcase and a spoiled brat, her daughter gets it honestly. This was a good series ending wrapped in a sparkly estate.

Really enjoyed this book. It was a quick read and I found myself hooked to it. I've read a few of these but probably not in the order I should but I do enjoy Juliette's diary. I love how she explains things, some are very funny! Her family characters' are all great, funny and some quite eccentric! This was a great light hearted read during the pandemic but was really fun to read and get lost in!
