هذه حكاية قفص كسائر الأقفاص.
ليس كبيرا جدّا ولا صغيراً جدّا، فيه وعاء للبذور وكوب للمياه العذْبة، وتتدلّى على أحد جوانبه أُرجوحة صغيرة مصنوعة من غصن رفيع.
لكنّه قفص مختلف بشيء واحد فقط: في داخله، لا يعيش كناريّ أو حسّون أو ببَغاء، أو أيّ نوع آخر من العصافير.
لهذا السّبب، قرّر أن ينطلق ليفتّش عن عصفور.

Des illustrations tout en finesse, qui nous font capter le moment présent de la scène et savourer ses moindres détails. Le récit se répète, mais ne cesse de monter en prestance au fur et à mesure que le carnaval des oiseaux se présente à nos yeux. Enfin, une fin remarquable et touchante, qui suggère des pistes de réflexion autant pour les tout-petits que les plus grands!

Gorgeous illustrations and a story that talks about confinement and how damaging this is to birds (and humans). The ending shows children how you can change your nature to nurture those you care about without restricting their liberties.
