This story was previously published in the Love Under Lockdown Limited Edition Box Set.
As a former physician and business executive in another life—with a childhood filled with reading multi-genre novels (including Shakespeare in the original version)—Dobi Daniels loves to write sweet thrilling romance stories with heart.
She enjoys dreaming up everyday characters who rise above unfavorable circumstances to overcome incredible odds and find love and joy along the way. When not writing, Dobi can be found binging K-dramas and ice cream with her little sidekick by her side.
I didn’t realize at first that this was a very short prequel to a series. I think I would have liked this much better if I would have had more time to delve into the characters and the relationship. Because this is so short, it became a second chance insta love story. I enjoyed the writing style and will read more from the author.
I read this book when it was part of a box set. Now it’s been released in its own, and what a beautiful cover and story it is too.
This is a really sweet continuation story to the Dexington Medical romance series.
This one is about an older couple who were split up 30 years ago but never stopped loving the other. When a broken down car brings him to her doorstep it opens up a whole can of worms.
The family members of each of them were quite endearing and you could so imagine them doing the antics they got up too.
This is part of A Cowboy Loves The Doctor Series and it is Maggie and Peter's story and even though it is a short read it still lacks a punch. Maggie and Peter have a past and they were in love but something went wrong between them and Maggie walker away. Now years later and Peter turns up at the ranch where Maggie lives with her three foster sons and she is not happy to see Peter or give him a second chance. Peter is shocked to see Maggie again after so many years and now he feels that he may have the chance to find out what made Maggie walk away from him. Will Maggie and Peter get a second chance or has too many years gone for it to work for them. Robin Daniels is an amazing author and writer and the characters and storyline in this book is so good that you have to keep reading to see what would happen next. I definitely recommend you read this book and others by Dobi Daniels and you will definitely not be disappointed. I voluntarily reviewed an Arc copy of this book.
The story-line is short but wonderful, especially for a fellow senior who has been married many years. We all look back at those we might have loved and lost but never saw again. This gal was lucky as his car literally stopped running near her home and they met up again. Deciding to renew acquaintances was a minor stumbling block and life moved on. Yes, there will be ups and downs but it was wonderful to see second chances actually found love. Thanks to the author for a fun read.
This was a nice short "Coming of age" story. The A Cowboy Loves the Doctor (3 book series) Kindle Edition should be very interesting. I have A Doctor Blind Date for the Cowboy: A sweet medical western romance (A Cowboy Loves the Doctor Book 1) Kindle Edition as a freebie.
"Sometimes love needs a second chance, because it wasn't ready the first time - but it only grows stronger and learns how to last a lifetime." Quote
Peter and Maggie meet after a lot of years passed since they see each other last. Things have changed a lot for them, however, that love they felt for each other once is still there. A second chance on love they are not going to let it pass. A sweet clean and well-written story you will enjoy. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Maggie Fields runs a ranch with her foster sons and seems perfectly happy until Dr. Peter Taylor from her past lands on her doorstep. Maggie must then confront the feelings she's left behind. Dr. Peter Taylor never expected to run into his former love who broke his heart. Great characters in this short and sweet true love romance.
Yes, this is a short and sweet read, but it is a great story of reconnecting, finding out that your perception of the truth is not what it was, and second chances. The characters are great, and the author's descriptive writing had me rooting for them. It's a short and sweet story that does not disappoint.
God can and does what we think cannot happen. After losing his wife to be at the alter, he thought his life was over. But God brought good things to him in a different time and way
Loved this sweet romance about Peter and Maggie finding each other again after 32 years apart. It was just by pure chance they met up again and found their happily ever after.
Peter was destroyed when Maggie left him at the alter. He recovered and married again but his wife had died 14 years ago. Now to convince their children that they truly were in love.
I really enjoyed this second chance romance. As I’m now a great grandmother and alone. I like stories of older adults finding their mates. Not one wants to grow old alone. It was well written. I know you are going to love it.
A really well developed story in just a few pages. I loved the main characters and was amazed that the H's mother was still included in the family after her stunt. Loved the way their kids and foster kids related to the news. Great writing and editing.
This is the 1st book I read by Dobi Daniels. I liked this book's storyline. I liked the Christian theme in this story. I liked Maggie's character. I liked Peter's character. I liked the ending.
This is a sweet little second chance romance with loveable and charming characters that will have you enjoying their journey toward happily ever after.
Enjoyed the book. It was short and sweet. I ca not wait to read the rest of the series. Maggie had her own money so why was her newly mil upset with the marriage?
The basic premise was a good one but the brevity of the story lost much of the romance it could have contained. Coupled with poor editing and proofing, this book was a struggle to read.
His car breaks down right at the ranch entrance of his first love. He’s now a widower and she’s never married, will the get a second chance at happily ever after
I downloaded this book during the stuff a kindle event and it was a quick little read which would be fine and dandy but it had some potholes and I just wish the story could've been longer.
