Amelia had to walk a very fine line when she went about publishing proto-feminist poetry in the mid 17th century, and i think she walked it very beautifully. she centers her argument in the doctrine of Christ, which furthers her ethos and proves that she is a woman of the faith. will i ever read this again? unless it's eve's apology then probably not.
