My nightmares have been a living, breathing thing for years. They haunt me when I sleep; they are a part of my every waking hour.
They have the power to break me, but I refuse to let them. Instead, they gave me the power to remake myself, to become strong, strong enough to wage war with my demons and emerge victorious.
But then, Ryder happened. I spent my whole life being thrown to the shadows. He thinks I'm weak, incapable… a victim in every sense of the word.
He is wrong.
When something unexpected happens that resurrects my worst nightmares, I vow I will not let history repeat itself.
It ends here. It's ends with me.
My demons don't own me, I own them.
… And now it's time to fight and reclaim who I am and what is MINE.
Oh Ayda....you deserve, more than anyone, your HEA. Ayda & Ryder’s chemistry is absolutely electrifying. They are both beautiful but broken and it takes a very special and surprising circumstance to bring them together. This book touches on some sensitive subjects, and it is totally heartbreaking at parts. But there’s so many emotions in the book. Not just with the MCs, but with Ghost Team in general. There’s parts where I just wanted to be held right along with them. And there were parts where I just wanted to laugh & love along with them. I cannot WAIT to see where this team leads us next.
I knew Ayda's story was going to be hard to read, at least past. And it was painful. My heart broke for her, for the child she never got to be. But watching her come into her own, to overcome her past, to find her worth, and to give a childhood to her nieces broke my heart again in a good way, and I was so pleased to see her get her HEA. Ryder finally got his head together and became the exact kind of man she needed...strong, protective, but vulnerable in his own way. Their ragged edges pieced together into a love forged with blood, sweat, and tears, and they created the best kind of bond for Rhian and Layla. I can't wait to see what made the rest of the teammates tick! Well done, Ellie!
There were a couple of questionable moments. How did they suddenly know where the twins were but not know who they were with? Also, what was that with Owen?? Served no real purpose to the story and was just not needed. Ayda is an amazing character. She survived so much and learned to fight. Ryder seems like a jerk at times, but, thanks to his sister, Emma, he figures it out.
This book was absolutely amazing! Each book keeps getting better a Ayda’s story sexual in from the beginning and keeps you in the fields the entire time!
Ah man I loved this book I cried I laughed again this was so well written it has some dark parts so beware but it’s amazing and worth adding to your collection
While I enjoyed the characters and the plot better in the first book I thought the writing and editing was a lot stronger here. It really seems like this author is working hard to improve and as a reader that is greatly appreciated because she has great plot ideas and a nice creative mind.
