This is my first read from this author and I am hooked. I stayed up until almost dawn to finish this story because I just had to know what happened! This is the 4th book in the series and I will be going back and reading the first 3 as soon as possible. This is the story of Harden and Jentry. Harden is the Mafia King Pin of New York. He can be ruthless, heartless and is very dangerous. Jentry is a single mother trying to make it on her own (she has family, she doesn’t want to depend on them). She is feisty, caring and hard working. Jentry works in one of Harden’s clubs and tries to keep her head down so she is not noticed. Harden has noticed Jentry since he first saw her in his club. Both have an attraction to each other and try to deny it.
There is so much going on in this story. Does Harden keep Jentry and her daughter around or does he send her packing? How does he know what the right thing to do it? And once he does it, is it the right thing? Great storyline and great characters. You have drama, action, deception, betrayal, twists, turns, suspense, tragedy, survival and passion. I hope to read the other books prior to the 5th book coming out in June. I have no doubt that I will be just as taken in by those books as I was this one. Plain Jane in this iteration of the series is Jentry Playne, rebellious second daughter who ran off with a boyfriend and became an abused girlfriend, a pimped-out streetwalker, and a tough-as-nails impoverished single mother. Harden Gage is THE BOSS of the New York crime syndicate, and as cold-hearted, ruthless, and violent as he needs to be. When they meet, it's unaccountably instant attraction - and neither can manage to pull away. Threats, bullets, family dramas, concerned friends - nothing will keep these two apart - provided they live through it all. All the nastiness of mob violence and hitmen on the loose, all the suspense, the uncertainty, the back-and-forth 'send her to safety or keep her close?' angst - WOW! It's all riveting, edge-of-your-seat, nail-biting addictive reading, along with a moving, love conquers all love story, and some red-hot sexy times. Such a great book! I enjoyed this book so much I will be recommending this and this series for anyone who will listen! Miss Stephens is a phenom waiting in the out skirts. Her brilliance with this series is not only breathtaking but will steal your heart and soul with its words and characters! You want a story that will leave you breathless and will stick to you long after it is over wanting to make you revisit it and the others within this series? Then this is the series for you! Trust me when I say that you will not be sorry you picked this author or her books! Riveting, engaging and entertaining. It will have you within the story before you can flip the page!

Jentry is a single mom trying to survive as a single mother. She works for Harden who is the head of the mob. Harden is a strong and mob has an instant attraction to Jentry and she to him. They are good together but try to stay away. Harden is strong and makes the perfect character to be hard, ruthless, and yet caring. This is a story with violence and other mob activity, it flows well and it keeps you on the edge of your seat and keeps you engaged to find out what happens next. This book is just such an action packed story. I like how Tmonique keeps the story moving along and how they meet and their interaction. This is a great story that kept me engaged in the ride.

Our hero is sworn to protect our heroine and he will do so with his own life. But their feelings did not get the memo making things a bit more complicated.
This is book four of the series. It does just fine as a standalone.
This is a wonderful blend of hard rocking action and romance. The story was very well written and included plenty of twists and turns to keep things interesting. The characters are also well developed and have a sense of realism to them that makes the story easy to read. They have a few issues to deal with, but once they do the chemistry is very high. The plot is fast paced and a page turner. I am looking forward to seeing more from this author in the future.

Jentry Playne is as stubborn as one can get which is why she works at a job that does not cover the needs of her and her infant daughter, Allie. When her cousin Calista and her husband Julius, ask her boss Harden Gage, the head of the New York syndicate, to protect Jentry and Allie, he agrees. So Jentry and Allie are ensconced in one of the apartments in the penthouse of the building her boss owns and lives. This story talks about child abuse, sexual abuse, corruption, and prostitution. It also includes plenty of action, gun violence, bombings, arson, and includes romance, steam, and ends in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

I’ve just binged this series to date. I LOVE IT! This author understands that life isn’t black and white there are a lot of shades of gray in between. This series explores that and Harden and Jentry’s story is a perfect example. Harden is a bad guy but he does have a moral code. Jentry has made a lot of mistakes and gets where he is coming from as she has her own code. These two are perfect for each other they just need to realize it. These books are really well written and will draw you into a world filled with danger. I can’t wait for the next installment.

Harden just stole my heart, the big though guy with a heart of gold but he’s kept it a good secret. It will be extremely hard forgetting this book boyfriend! Jentry did what every mom would do: anything to keep your child safe and fed. Her stubbornness irritated me sometimes but she’s been through a lot.
This was a rollercoaster story with love, tears, death, fights and loyalty. A must read.

I absolutely loved the first book in this series and found this book not realizing that I missed the previous two books. I liked this book but it wasn’t as enthralling as the first book in my opinion. I thought it had great characters with good chemistry but I got caught up in all of the side action which took away my enjoyment of their budding relationship. I do think it’s an entertaining story.

This is the 5th book I've read written by Tmonique Stephens; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
Harden is the head of the Irish mob; Jentry is in danger by the Russian mob so Harden is going to protect her no matter what because the Russian mob is his rival.

Harden is the head of the Irish Mob in NYC and when he wants something he takes it and that includes Jentry. Jentry is a single mom struggling to make it. I loved the way the storyline isn't just about the mafia/mob and everything that comes with it but it gives us a romance and all the struggles that come with that too. The writing is well done, the characters are believable and the world this author has created is amazing. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

The heat level is high and the angst in full swing when these two collide.
No doubt about it this was another awesome story in the series filled with twists and turns, deadly mafia intrigue and a steamy, satisfying romance.

I really enjoyed Jentry and Harden's story.
It was a story full of drama, romance, danger and trying to protect themselves from the enemy.

I have loved this series since the first one. Each story just keeps upping the game with these two MCs. I love the suspense and the codes that the characters adhere to. This is another great read in this series. I highly recommend this as a page turning read!

This is the 4th book in the Plain Jane series, this is Harden and Jentry's story. The character are well written and believable and the chemistry is off the charts. Terrific series.
