The Han Wars #4

To Hell and Back

Rate this book
The enemy fleet has broken out from Maxis and entered the Sol system. Earth itself will soon be under attack.

For Commander Jackson Flynn and the crew of RSS Repulse, the war against the Han has taken a terrible turn, and to make matters worse, his XO, Lieutenant Commander Jan Fuchida, is in a med bay fighting for her life.

The Republic Defense Forces have split into two camps—those loyal to President Drake Ellison’s dictatorial Third Republic, and those committed to the ideals of the true Republic, led by Admirals Shane McClusky and Riker Jameson at Fletcher Point. But a Republic civil war will have to wait.

As the Republic’s First Fleet engages First Admiral Vasily Turgenev’s Grand Fleet in a battle for Earth’s survival, Admiral Riker Jameson makes a move his enemy counterpart cannot expect, a strategic gamble Jameson knows could save Earth from complete destruction, or lose the war completely.

As the specter of unrestrained, total war erupts across the light years, Jackson Flynn knows the next battle for Repulse and her crew—and, unexpectedly, for Jan Fuchida as well—may be their last.

Great series continues

This series has become one of my favorite science fiction series and the author is a name more people should know. The series includes a wide cast of characters and great action sequences. Seriously some of the best military sci-fi out there. Do yourself a favor and give it a try, but I recommend starting at the beginning with the three novellas.

What can I say that's not a spoiler... it's an excellent continuation of the story and writing from the previous books. If you liked them you'll love this one too. The blend of military protocols and personnel with science fiction really makes this an enjoyable read. I can no wait for the next book.

This is such a fun, exciting, military sci-fi series.

Everything that was great about the first three books continues in this one.

One minor quibble, is that these are self-published and this particular book could have used another pass by an editor. There were around a dozen grammatical and/or spelling errors to be found.

Does not take away from the great story though.

I a have been hooked on this series from the very beginning. This chapter in the saga may have been the best yet.
