John Constantine has been in trouble before, but running afoul of the Devil himself is crossing a line even for the self-styled Hellblazer. But that’s exactly who darkens Constantine’s door with news that John’s investigation into the gruesome “angel murders” of London’s billionaire class and Satan’s own vendetta against a treacherous demon are actually the same mission. What’s that mean? You guessed it: It’s time for a team up!

Four stars (on a comic/graphic novel scale.) This book is a lot of dark, creepy fun. Drawn and written beautifully— and wickedly— this is the John Constantine character and world at his best.

I can't say too much about this without ruining it but the cover gives you a big hint as to who shows up to help John with this case. The dark humor is fantastic. The storyline is great and the art even better. Worth every cent and can't wait for more.

Please tell me this is a five-part series. I love the humour and pacing of this one so much. It may not be the most original run, but I couldn’t care less.

ETA: Dang, just checked, it ends with the next issue. Sigh...I’ll save the conclusion for tomorrow. I better delve back into the original run of Hellblazer soon.
