Bog standard, but pretty stilted, fake relationship story. I've read half a dozen better versions of this story this year. Pretty forgettable.

Ryan goes to a wedding of his ex. In a fit of jealously he kisses the guy beside him and the guy kisses him back. When they come up for air he realizes it's his brother's best friend. The same one he's been in love with for 10 years and when he told him about his feelings back then it did not go well. They are total opposites. Ryan wants a relationship and Noah likes to sleep around. Noah dmits that back then he just thought of Ryan as too young but now he has feelings for him too. After telling Ryan he lost his job and apartment Ryan offers to live with him. They spend the rest of the evening drunkenly hoping from karaoke bars to clubs. When they wake up they have rings on and a marriage license and changed their fb status to married. When the brother is pissed they decide to play along and move in together.
This was a quick read. Under 4 hours. It was very sweet and light with mild angst. The 2 MCs had such great chemistry and were both very well developed and likeable. I found the plot to be very interesting and well written. A definite page turner.
I had never heard of this author before but I look forward to more from them. I would highly recommend this book.

Ryan e Noah mi hanno conquistata con la loro dolcezza e con la loro voglia di dimostrare che dall'amicizia magari l'amore può sbacciare. Anche andando contro molti pregiudizi.
Ecco a voi un pelino di riassunto di trama... Ryan è al matrimonio del suo ex... Ma quando lo vede mano nella mano con suo marito, decide di fare una pazzia e baciare il suo vicino di sedia, che altro non è che la sua cotta adolescenziale... Il migliore amico di suo fratello, Noah. Noah non si aspetta che Ryan lo baci, ne tanto meno che gli piaccia...Così tanto che il giorno dopo si ritrovano sposati!
Tu tutti sono contro questa unione, perché Noah è considerato uno sciupauomini. Non ama mettersi in gioco ne tanto meno avere una relazione seria... E se, magari, ci stia ripensando?? Magari bastava avere accanto un uomo che lo completa... Chissà!
Allora parto col dire che i due personaggi sono adorabili! Sexy, divertenti e son descritti benissimo. All'inizio non hanno nulla in comune e si nota benissimo la differenza di pensiero. Ma andando avanti, e vivendo sotto lo stesso tetto i due elaborano un piano che prevede una relazione finta e poi il divorzio. Con il tempo però il cambiamenti si fa sempre più presente e da amicizia si passa ad amore.
I personaggi secondari sono presenti e vengono tirati in ballo nel momento perfetto, per mettere un po' di peps nella storia.
Le cosa che non mi son piaciute sono due... Uno è la presenza dell'ex, che secondo me non aggiunge nulla alla trama. Anzi crea scompiglio più di quanto già ce ne sia. E l'altra è la poca presenza di personaggi Femminili. Capisco volere un libro solo MM, ma una presenza anche solo come amica mi è mancata. Un tocco, un qualcosa... Ma è un gusto personale.
Consiglio comunque questo libro perché mi son divertita a leggere e poi i due ti conquistano!

This is amusing, sweet and romantic. As a teen Ryan developed a crush on his brother's best friend Noah. Bad timing had him confessing to Noah when Noah was drunk. It didn't end well. Ryan was humiliated, and Noah was embarrassed, so the subject never came up again. When they were at Ryan's ex's wedding, Ryan unwittingly asked Noah to kiss him, which he did, later they went out drinking together. They woke up married. Ryan's brother was livid, but Noah bet him that he and Ryan would last. So began the fake marriage that ended up revealing true feelings. Ryan is the quiet, focused type of guy who freelanced ad design. Noah is a cocky player, an accountant and romantic. They settled into a relationship easily until they added intimacy into it and both got caught up in the feeling. The storyline is interesting, but it's Noah and Ryan themselves who make the story.

Ryan and Noah get drunk and wake up married. Knowing how friends and family are going to react, they decide to keep up the fake marriage to stick it to everyone.
The book was okay, nothing really outstanding. I kinda got frustrated with Ryan, although he admits his crush never really went away, he keeps calling it a pretend marriage, even after he and Noah grow closer. There were also a lot of editing errors (missing words, wrong words, wrong tense, etc.)

Sweet
I'm a huge fan of this trope and this book played into it nicely, along with a brothers best friend twist. Noah and Ryan are such a sweet couple. I wish there would have been a bit more character development however. A bit of the language came off as a bit awkward and stilted, like the author knew what should go in those places but couldn't quite get it right. These things won't stop me from reading future work though, as I am excited for both Ian's and Jordan's books!

Very Good.
This story just flowed. It was very easy to get into and read from start to finish. I liked the characters. There wasn't too much angst or unnecessary drama and the ex, Parker, wasn't overused as a plot device. It was all very enjoyable and GOOD. A perfect way to meet my 2020 Kindle reading goal with literally 20 minutes to spare.

The grammar in this gay romance novel was almost bad enough for me to give it 3 stars, but I ended up liking the character development and story too much to do it, so this is another 4 star read for me.

Libro corto con una historia simple y personajes divertidos, sin dramas innecesarios y un final feliz sin tantas vueltas. No es inolvidable, pero excelente para pasar el rato. Lo leí en tres horas. Recomendadísimo.
