Court Legacy #1

Dirty Wicked Prince

Rate this book
He’s the elite’s dark prince.

I had the audacity of breathing his air.

Dirty.
Rotten.
Savages.

The Legacy boys are Windsor Preparatory Academy’s most privileged. No one crosses the devil spawn of this town’s upper echelon, but I managed. I call one of them out my first day, and no one hears it louder than their blond prince.

Evil.
Wicked.
Twisted.

Dorian Prinze is as cruel as he is beautiful and once he sets his sights on me, he refuses to let go. Apparently, I bother him by simply existing at my new school and no matter what I do, I can’t stay off the radar of him and his boys. He says I make too much noise and stupid me for not caring. Some really messed up stuff brought my brother and me to this town, and I won’t bow down to these elitist pricks.

Something tells me going to war with the cruel prince of Maywood Heights may level both our foundations, but I won’t go down without a fight. I’ll do whatever it takes to win Dorian’s devious and twisted games.

Even if he promises I’ll scream for him by the end.

Not my cup of tea! I read this cause I heard that the heroine was this strong badass which is what I like to see when it comes to bully "romance " but Sloane was the opposite of strong and badass unless strong means being pathetic and weak! First off she starts of the book selfish and ungrateful, she never thinks about what her brother wants and how her actions effect him until the damage is done and then acts all surprised when her brother gets mad at her, constantly complains to callum for giving them all this nice stuff when all he's trying to do is give them a better life after the dad died,, gets mad she was tricked by Dorian's (hero) friend about the party being a lingerie party when she should have known they were messing with her considering who he was friends with, literally BEGS Dorian for sex cause it was the only way he would go through with it is if she begged, yea that doesn't sound strong or badass to me at all

I only got through this book because I don’t like to leave things unfinished. The sentence structure and flow of writing is confusing and makes no sense. It’s extremely toxic and not in a good way. Reads like a badly written Wattpad work. At the end of the day the plot wasn’t even that interesting. Do not recommend.

Let me begin by saying I HATE this book with a passion. No wait I need a stronger word. I fucking loathe this book and I so desperately wish I could erase this from my memory forever. Now you might ask why? WHY did u read it then? Well the answer is simple. I'm a masochist and maybe a small part of me really wanted to give this book a chance to get better towards the end. But nooo it continued to disappoint.
Let's start of with the "elite Dark prince" Dorian. Oh lord. Everything about this boy from his name, to his attitude, to his fucking ego makes me wanna smack him with a bat. He literally has no personality apart from being a brooding, spoilt douche bag who thinks he has a free pass to be an asshole because of personal trauma. News flash, the world doesn't fucking revolve around you. I see absolutely no character development on his end, he's an asshole from the beginning to the end. How sad.
And then we have little miss Sloan who's really not the fighter she claims to be. She literally gets ASSAULTED by Dorian and his bunch of hooligan friends, yet continues to submit to the douche canoe. Yes, my mind will never comprehend her logic during the swimming pool scene. At this point I wanted to smack some sense into her with a bat. No really. Sis literally gets flattered when Dorian aka Douche does the bare fucking minimum. Like girlll is the bar that low?

The hooligan friends aren't any different from douche. They're all shit heads with an ego the size of Mount Everest and zero personality. I'm not surprised yet again.

If I'm being completely honest, the ending kinda did leave me satisfied. I hope douche canoe rots in prison for the rest of his life. Maybe that'll humble him.

Second generation bully romance!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙💚❤️💜
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌍
Character development: 😉☺️😟😤
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Noa Sloane - she was 18 years old, her and her brother Bru were new to town. Their father died in an accident at his most recent job. They didn’t have a mom and their dad couldn’t keep a job to save his life, but he did leave a will. He named a guardian, who was a wealthy guy named Callum Montgomery. Callum got them a mansion, a car and all the necessities and enrolled them in Windsor Preparatory Academy.

The Hero: Dorian He is the king of the school. He was from one of the richest families in the area. He and his group of friends were legacies at the school. Nobody, even the teachers and headmaster ever gave them trouble or contradicted them. So, when the new girl at school stands up to them and doesn’t defer to them like the rest of the student body, he takes an interest in putting her in her place.

The Story: The night before starting school, Sloane is on her way to the grocery store and sees a masked man trying to rob a woman who was jogging. Sloane was never one to back down, so she grabs the bat out of her trunk and goes after them, saving the woman who turned out to be the headmaster at Windsor Prep. Little did she know, this act put her on the radar of the legacies, led by Dorian.

This book was pretty much your standard bully romance. So many of them start out with a poor heroine, at an elite school full of rich kids, who gets on the bad side of the kings of the school, including the handsome and arrogant leader. He is, of course, attracted to her, but doesn’t like that she doesn’t toe the line and bullies her for that fact. In this case the ‘kings’ of the school are legacies, who are direct descendants of the court, the last generation who roamed the halls from Maywood Heights most prestigious families.

One difference is the fact that we really get to see in the mind of Dorian. We get to see into his past and his family and he isn’t a bad guy. He is hurting because of something that happened. He has trouble sleeping and stays up at night, working out to tire himself out enough to sleep. I liked his struggle and the mystery behind it. It was a good storyline. There was also a decent amount of heat between the two main characters and some good steamy scenes.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Stefanie Kay and Gideon Frost. I liked both of these narrators, they have great voices and show lots of emotion through their voices. They also sound age appropriate for the characters in this book. There was a huge cliffhanger at the end of this one, so the next should be good.

I really need to stop reading books that TikTok recommends to me.

Fair warning, I didn’t love this book so this is just a rant of me complaining about every negative stupid scene or character until I get frustrated and stop.

so I saw this tiktok describing the scene where the main character walks into a party in lingerie and her “dark prince” is angry and pulls her away to put clothes on her.

Based on that tiktok I thought this was a “anyone touches her and ill kill you” vibes but this was the complete opposite.

It’s literally about a group of guys who are rich and powerful that torment this new girl in school ONLY BECAUSE she had the nerve to stop a mugging. and then again continues to bully her bc the school set her up with a class period with the headmaster.

Which confused me, if y’all really “run the school” like it’s heavily implied- why couldn’t they just change her class period? Instead of buying dildos and putting them in her locker in the hopes that she will unenroll herself from school?? when she literally has no power to do that???

AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE FIRST SEXUAL SCENE?

it’s literally sexual assault. The scene with the pool? The two guys holding her down and rubbing against her, and then the main love interest (door or something like that) sexually assaults her with a bat? and she’s okay with them almost drowning her and sexually assaulting her bc they are hot.

Up until this moment she literally hasn’t had one positive interaction with these guys, not even a conversation that wasn’t them yelling at eachother.

and then when the two guys try to be her friend later on she is mentions the pool scene so off handed like these people didn’t sexual assault her.

AND THE SCENE WITH THE MOTHER? like sir how are you so upset that she made your mom cry, and then your first thought is you better suck my dick???!??????

………. you’re done….. you’re done.

and the whole plot line with her brother made no sense. how do y’all live with eachother and don’t even talk. He’s still a minor. He can’t be that busy with football, like if the bully’s have time for her, her brother would have time for her too. But he is always off doing “football things” like what????

also the whole, I’m going to kidnap the headmaster to know what happened with my uncle. like what?? that’s extreme??? y’all didn’t think maybe hey let’s blackmail her with these text messages we have of her. Maybe she will tell us what we want to her. They went straight to, yeah let’s kidnap her.

And the whole uncle thing, how is he your uncle but only 2 years older? And the whole time they continue to call him their brother. Why doesn’t the author just make him his brother??????????? saves the headache.

And to mention characters……. they all sucked?????

Main character was suppose to be “strong, independent, a protector” girl you literally did nothing but pretend your tough. shut up.

Main character love interest, typical white rich boy behavior, wahhh my uncle who’s really like my brother- died. now I’m going to bully my friends into breaking crimes bc I’m sad and I have all the money in the world but can’t afford therapy for me or my mom who is severely depressed.

like what??????????

anyway
this book was terrible,It didn’t flow very well. The way it was written was very wattpad. The characters were…. let’s just say they had A LOT of room for character development.

1/5 stars would not read the others in the series.

This book is just wrong on so many levels.
I’m all for dark romance but, this is not dark romance.
The main character almost gets SA MULTIPLE TIMES and she’s just like “Oh, oh well.”🤪💅🏻 and we just skip past that like it’s nothing!?
The main character is hella annoying she is not the “badass” I was told she’d be. If being a badass is you letting a bunch of guys fill your locker and bag up with dildos and do nothing about it then you’ve got the wrong definition of badass.

dnf'ed it at about ch19 it was just not for me so i skipped to the ending...the main girl was supposed to be strong and all but she was so pathetic and embarrassing the only thing i liked about her was that she was 5'10 considering most books always use a 4'8 female. The main guy was... something. They had literally no chemistry (at least till where i read) and the plot of the story was overall boring. I think it was supposed to give off like gossip girl/elite vibes at the school but it was just a bunch of pretentious assholes. The only way i have to describe this book is “yikes”

i went into this book thinking it’d be a romance, but it was mainly focused on dorian. dorian and sloane had like 2 scenes… there was barely any proper build up to their relationship. they legit had zero chemistry. i wasn’t really drawn into the book and if i’m being honest, this was honestly such a waste of my time. it was boring. i don’t think the authors writing style is for me, buttt with that ending, i kinda wanna continue the series.

Extremely choppy writing, little to no flow and does not immerse you in the story line. The descriptions could use a lot of work. And why say things like I offered her a ride and she decline - why not just write out the dialogue? Or why suddenly in the same paragraph one sentence is her brother chugging milk then boom following sentence just abruptly “we look nothing alike”. Like instead of explicitly telling us these things or how they don’t feel like they have a home why not allow us to interpret that with the story.

+ dark bully romance, check tw’s, cliffhanger
+ thank you eden for sending me this series!!

i devoured this book in less than a few hours! anyone that knows me knows i love bully romances so i was super excited to get to this.

enemies to lovers, bully romance, PREP SCHOOL AND an underlying mystery plot line?? i couldn’t ask for anything else!!

this series follows primarily dorian & sloane, our two mc’s. sloane has recently just moved to windsor prep, and shes already on the dorian’s radar. the banter, the tension between these two was great!! i love how, despite their rocky start, they genuinely care for one another, very deeply. AND WHEN WE GET TO SEE DORIAN’S VULNERABLE SIDE??? in tears.

“he hugged me to his big body like a teddy bear, playing with my hair as he kissed me, playing with my hair as he kissed me”
SOBBING. dorian u softie 🫶

“im in your head just as much as you’re in mine.” SERVE. “you’re mine” SERVE.
“you ashamed of me, little fighter? our night together?” ALL HITS NO MISSES.

and that ending ?? im RUNNING to the next book NOWW

"Dirty Wicked Prince" is the story of Sloane and Dorian.

I am glad that KU recommended it as I really enjoyed it- even though I've never read this author before!

A high school bully romance- in which the heroine and her brother move to Windsor Preparatory Academy, only to be targeted by the The Legacy boys. The heroine is badass, giving them as good as she gets. However, in the want for retribution, lines are crossed, secrets are exposed, and hidden truth is unveiled..

The book has a dark romance undertone. There are loads of secrets, the story flashes back and forth between the hero's past and present. The chemistry between him and the heroine didn't get much space as there was SO MUCH happening in the book- but the glimpses we saw were hot! The other characters were well written, with just enough to make them intriguing. Apart from the almost assault on the heroine in the start - I did not find anything else problematic and enjoyed this read. Will definitely be continuing the series!

the only reason i finished this book is because i don’t like to leave things unfinished but omg this book might be the worst i’ve read. first of all everyone was so toxic it literally hurt to read. main girl was annoying and ungrateful. man guy was rude and an asshole. and the rest of the characters where so stupid, literally like they walked off the pages of a wattpad. also i will never forgive anyone for what happened when sloane went swimming.

this book was so insanely awful i cant even begin to put into words how useless reading all 300 pages of this book was. reading the back of a deodorant bottle for seven hours straight would’ve been more beneficial than one page of this godforsaken book.

Pretty predictable high school bully/academy romance…lots of miscommunication, dark mysterious subplot, murder, you name it. The writing style felt a little immature to me and Sloane’s inner dialogue had me rolling my eyes all over the place. The plot twist at the end didn’t surprise me at all and honestly didn’t feel like enough to drive the plot into a new book. I really think Sloane and Dorian’s story could have concluded nicely at the end of this book and I don’t have much desire to continue the series.

I was instantly drawn in and could not put this book down! I finished it in one night and was left reeling from that cliffhanger!

The two main characters have amazing chemistry and the side characters are just as appealing (I call dips on Wolf) The mystery of this small town had me captivated and I just want to know everything that has gone down before Sloane and Bru moved there.

Sloane can be somewhat annoying as she does seem very selfish and doesn't think about what her brother wants/needs and just complains about everything Callum does for them both even though she says herself that Callum isn't her guardian and doesn't need to do anything for her, he still does.

I cant wait to read book 2 and find out what the hell is going on.

This book is based on December and Royal's son, Dorian Prinze. This book was okay. The heroine kind of annoyed me and came across as a Mary Sue at times. I mean, I love sass, but I felt it was too much in parts, and it turned the likeable heroine into an unlikeable one.

Especially when, you know, when they fight off the broody bully hot guy only to cave later on because he's so fucking hot. I mean, for me, it works better when there's chemistry and something more "profound" building between them. Not just fucking high school kid hormones because the hero's cock can't stop twitching and the heroine is blinded by abs.

I like this author and loved Jax and Cleo's story. The book I am holding out for though and I caught a hint of a sub-plot between them (though I could be wrong) is Wells Ambrose (Jax and Cleo's son) and Bow Reed. I would love to see a story there.

Overall, this wasn't too bad of a book. I will read more from this author.

I have once again been bamboozled into reading a book series with a cliffhanger and I hate it…
I got into this book because it was advertised to me has a romance enemies to lovers and can you explain to me why are we talking about murders.

This book was ok a lot of WTF moment.
If you like the Flock type of vibe you’re going to love this one.

The smut was just written weirdly, maybe I didn’t understand what the author was trying to explain but I’m pretty sure the MC got SA by the main guys. Was very weird and they just gloss over it like it was nothing.

Will not be reading the rest because I hate book series

This book...felt somehow very immature for the amount of mature themes that took place. There was a lot of things stuffed into one book that apparently is a part of a trilogy??? The story seemed like it was first published on Wattpad and somehow got picked up by a real publisher but was never edited again. A lot of the things the characters did seemed to not matter in terms of contributing to plot. Also, it was like neither did the "bullying" matter once it was all said and done cause Sloane was quite literally begging for him to fuck her. I won't be reading the second book or anything else from this author to be honest and I'm glad I only spent 1.99.

Holy. Shit.

This was such a good read! I was drawn in immediately and had the hardest time putting it down!

The story line was tense, mysterious and just so much plot going on! This isn’t your average high school series, and I’m here for it.

The characters are amazing. There are a lot of main characters without being overwhelmed. The chemistry between Dorian and Sloane is amazing & by the end of the book I was swooning!

There’s so much going on in the book and the cliffhanger?! GAH! Bring on book 2!
