When the angels could no longer be trusted, Heaven created her...

Quayla's daring rescue has freed Atlanta's Shield, both saving and dooming the city.

Ignis is lost to her. Terrance is corrupted. Vitae is once more free to terrorize the city and a tortured and tormented Mare has been wrenched from damnation itself. Even Summus, the Divine One meant to protect them all, has been drained nearly to death.

Faery is on the march. Empowered with Summus's stolen divine essence, the Exiled Lady ignites a plot to free all of the Fallen from their chains.

As the battlelines are drawn, Quayla clings to beaten and bloodied hope. To protect Atlanta and the world, Quayla need only put aside her pain and redeem her nemesis.

At the eleventh hour, the Exiled Lady offers her an alternative. Quayla can punish Dylan's murderer, save her loved ones, even protect Creation from the apocalypse.  All she has to do is change sides.

Michael J. Allen is a USA Today bestselling author of multi-layer science fiction and fantasy novels. Born in Oregon and an avid storm fan, he lives in far too hot & humid rural Georgia with his two black Labradors: Myth and Magesty. On those rare occasions he tears himself away from reading, writing and conventions he can be found enjoying bad scifi movies, playing D&D or the occasional video game, getting hit with sticks in the SCA or hanging out with the crew of Starfleet International’s U.S.S. DaVinci.

Another book by Michael J Allen that I truly did enjoy! I have been waiting to read this next book in the series! The Fae, mortals, and all my favorite Shields are still battling. This fighting kept me more on edge seeming to be maybe the one the Shields may not win. They may have to take a different path to get what they want. I won’t say what they did and ruin it. I am surprised at the outcome and choices though. I stayed on the edge of my seat all the way through this one as well! Love the knowledge and creativity!

I have been waiting to read this one since reading this authors other books. I loved them so much so when this one came up to read I was more than happy to do so. You have to read the other books to really understand this one. So be warned your in for the long haul. But its totally worth it! I loved the action and the story in this one and how it tied everything all together. I think this worked perfectly for ending the series and I can not wait to see what else Allen comes up with in the future.

Michael J. Allen has done it again! Another captivating and wonderful book. This series has been amazing and I have loved every single book from the beginning. We're back in the world of Atlanta where Quayla has managed to rescue the shield and the city. She must cling to her hope that she can redeem her nemesis. Later she is given a offer to stop the possible coming apocalypse, to save her loved ones, and punish Dylan's murderer but with the price of switching sides. Will Quayla switch sides or find a different way?

I did not realize this was book 4 in a series. I will say, this book is not stand alone. You apparently need to read the book before this to understand when it starts. However, even though I was lost at the beginning, I have to say this is a good book. There were only a few mistakes within, but the story was good. I think I'm going to have to go back to the beginning to read the whole series now.

This series isn't written in a style that I normally read so it took me a while to get it done. That being said this book has an interesting story line and is written so it is easy to understand. Some of the names are a bit tricky and if you don't read the other books in the series you might be lost but overall this is a good read!

This is the final book of this series and what a wonderful way to wrap it all up!!! I was on the edge of my seat trying to anticipate all that came my way while reading this book. This book does not disappoint as there are battles both physically and mentally taken throughout. Weighing it all between the good and evil from this world and beyond blended in a famous city. I am truly impressed with this series and author, Bravo!!!
