About the author

With a passion for storytelling, Prachi Agasti has been able to captivate readers with her compelling narratives and beautiful flow of emotions in the vivid characters she has built in her each book.
Born and raised in the abode of stories from her Grandparents and Parents, she had developed a keen interest in literature from an early age and as a child, she would often find herself in the magical world of J K Rowling, Enid Blyton, and Nancy Drew and beauty of poetries penned by William Wordsworth Sylvia Plath and Sarojini Naidu. Certainly, she had dreamt of one day creating her own literary universe.
Along with her studies, she embarked on her creative journey that blended love with imagination and innate creativity. From then, the ink has never stopped flowing. With 7 titles to her name and features in leading newspapers and an international magazine, she has never been satisfied with such a beautiful journey, she believes that the best is yet to come and she constantly experiments with the genres she wants her next book to cover. Prachi Agasti has also been able to mark her spot in the Top 50 Impactful Authors Awards -2022 for her last title ‘Almost: Stories of Darya and Qamar’.
Her new book titled ‘Soundless Echoes’ is a collection of short stories that showcase her storytelling prowess and serve as a captivating addition to her literary journey. It aims to capture the echoes of sad, forgotten wars raging inside the heart, long summers, coldest winters, and sweet autumns; feelings resonating for a long time. The book promises to take readers on a poignant fulfilling journey with different shades of emotions.
As Prachi continues to explore different realms of her imagination, she invites readers to join in her ever-evolving adventure.

There are lines that appear out of the blue in the middle of a simple narration in ''Feefall" that feel like an unanticipated punch in the gut. Writing about heartbreaks and a dilemma in mind makes this punch in the gut perhaps impossible to avoid.

For instance, it seems like the author takes on the mammoth task of fictionalising the compulsive, mass exodus of love. The descriptions in the book are so rich and vivid, just like the subject of the book demands, it is one that you wouldn't be able to put down if you decide to pick up.

Language is good and convenient. Presentation is pretty much unique but things get heavy with the use of difficult vocabulary. Also, it is pretty innovative with its cover.

What doesn't work is the highlighted negativity. It all depends on the extent to which you can take 'Pain'. It sometimes made me uncomfortable.

What transpires when you fall? I am not talking about falling on the ground but "falling" in life. At several phases. In numerous ways. With diverse people. Sometimes the fall is unconscious and you don't realize it until you get a "hit". It can be through words. People. Circumstances. Anything. Similarly, sometimes you free fall from a place where you can never get back to. Never reach your origin. Your identity. Your true self. What do you do in such cases? You shift. Change. Evolve. That's the rule of life.

This is my second book from the same author. Her first book 'Dearest Love' was a mesmerizing collection of poems about love, loss and healing. This book is again based on similar themes but the way they are introduced is unique.

Freefall is a collection of writings -poems, prose and stories. The book explores subjects like love, heartbreak, healing, self-love, hardships, trauma and many such similar topics are gracefully covered in the book.

Sometimes we don't realize what all we are carrying inside our heart. Guilt. Regrets. Pain. Love. All of it comes out in our life when something shakes us, makes us utter how we feel, makes us encounter what we don't have the courage for and something that gives us hope but it's so fragile that it keeps dangling. Loosely. We don't know which end of the thread is supporting us, which end we should stick to and before we realize that, we are on our own 'always', it's already too late to bounce back. Such is the collection of writings in this book. There is hope in some of them that it will make you jump in the excitement but some of the pieces are so dark, unsettling that it may give you an uncomfortable feeling while you read them. Some things stay with you. Consciously. Unconsciously. They do.

As I said that there are short stories as well in the book, they are placed in great order so that the momentum of "feeling things" doesn't break. Every piece of writing is fresh and raw, coming straight out of heart, it seems. The vocabulary used is rich just like her previous book ( Dearest Love ) but it suits the book well.

This book may not be for everyone because of the writing style. If you are in a habit of reading heavy poems, with metaphors and proses with rich vocabulary then the book is definitely for you. Some of the topics may trigger people unconsciously and so decide wisely before you read this book.

Lastly, the cover is so thoughtful and beautifully designed which completely justifies the title and the subjects of this book. It's a short book but not a quick one. The book is heavy in terms of words and phrases that for a normal person who doesn't read books with rich vocabulary, this may take some time to get finished. Overall, I love challenging books and this was one of them for me. Read it if you prefer reading about love, falling and rising.

“Freefall” by Prachi Prangya Agasthi is a collection of poems and prose that spread across the emotional dilemma, love, and heartbreaks. This book will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and feelings. I have read ‘Dearest Love’ by Prachi, a few times back. The theme of both the books somehow felt the same to me but the content in both is different.

 
Freefall is a state from where it seems difficult to pull oneself back. While reading the book, at certain parts of the book and instances, you will feel a rush of emotions inside making you fall unconsciously into some secluded space from where it will be quite effort-full to regain yourself.

 
The efforts of the author while composing this book are visible right from the title, to the cover, and the content. I loved how the cover design of this book, it is very well complimenting the matter and the title of the book. Arrangements of all the poems and short writings felt random in the beginning but once moved forward with this book, there is no looking back and your heart and soul will feel replenished. The whole presentation felt fresh and unique to me.

 
The vocabulary used in this book is rich but the writing style is pretty lucid and convenient to read. If you face a problem with rich vocabulary then you might feel heavy while reading it otherwise, it is just a 90+ pages book suitable for a quick and short read.

1. You enjoy reading poems and short musings

2. Poems with rich vocabulary and metaphors fascinate you

3. You resonate with the feelings of love, heartbreak, rebound, and emptiness

Synopsis - Freefall is not just a collection of Poetry but is an anthology of feelings and emotions of various persons the Author came across with. This is the second beautiful book by the author I loved till now. There were some short stories of not more than 4 to 5 pages long and some poems which are pertained to the intense emotions of love and Pain (heartbreak) one must endure in his or her life. I loved the way the Author express her words in the form of Poetry and short write-ups.

Out of all my, most favorite one was

I loved these short heart-wrenching stories and I would like to recommend this book to my bookstagram community to read this book and support the author by expressing your views about this book.
I would never suggest this book to beginners as this book contains strong vocabulary and wordings which makes the book more intense and intriguing.

"FREEFALL" by PRACHI PRANGYA AGASTI is a book of amazing collection of writings. This book contains poems&Short stories about love. This books is my second read of her works. I really like the idea of collaborate all the emotions together in one book. Fall is happened in every persons life. It come to our life without any warning. We hardly try to overcome those falls but sometimes our heart was too much hurt and we sacred. This book is about those falls in our life and the feelings of miserable situations.The themes in this book is pain, heart broken, love and every emotions in a human heart. After reading this book there are so much emotions come across in my heart. Her writings are heart touching and I already saw this emotions on her book "Dearest Love". Comparing with that work, this is one of her best writing. I really enjoyed reading and love her way of narration. The cover and title of this book is amazing.

I love all the writings in this book but there are some works touched my heart. Those are the following:

This book contains amazing collection of writings, poems & short stories about love. Author puts her all efforts to poured down all emotions on paper. These writings are filled with emotions.

This is my second book from this author. She has painted an exquisite picture of all the themes of the book. The writing style of the author is so aesthetic and grandiloquent. It's not easy to understand these poems as they are very deep and they are very lyrical as well. She has used a lot of poetic devices which makes it an interesting read. The poems are written very gloriously with a motive to explore your feelings. I think the author has done a great job of bringing out the feelings that the book wants to convey. She has captured the essentials of the human soul with her pen. It is a great book and a fast read which is going to captivate you with blissful poetries. The words of the poems give you a feeling of self-satisfaction and happiness. However, it’s not my recommendation for beginners as it has a lot of poetic devices. You can try out another book called dearest love from her and then read this one.

Freefall is a collection of short stories, poetries and prose highlighting the emotion of love and pain. Freefall is just like a black hole, there's no coming back once you start reading it because you will get lost in the myriad- totally engrossed.
Just like i got lost when I started reading this book, because each story has something different to offer, and I think this was the mere reason why I got into it. This book has so much to offer, you just need to be open to receive it.
Some poems are really deep where the others are easy going. It really is a thoughtful read, You will feel a instant connection with the poem it's like the author is teaching us and helping us, she has a poem for every situation.
I'll say, it's a short cute book to read just don't get too serious, take it easy.

Freefall is the sudden, rapid decline without any resistance. An endless downward hurtle with only enough momentum to keep us barely alive.
This book us a collection of verses and writeups that make you fall into the abyss of melancholy and love. The words have a tinge of long lost love & separation, deep enough to sink in our hearts.

I have read the her ' Dearest Love' collection and her style of writing is similar. The emotions though fresh are repetitive and writing is dreamy but vague and needs more poetic elements.

Will recommend to poetry lovers.
