The seasons change, but the wise-guys of Tachikawa are still stumbling and punning their way through Japan! Traversing the earthly plains, digital and IRL, Buddha and Jesus learn about ramen, used clothing, and garbage collection—and in their infinite compassion, try in vain to protect the innocent bystanders of the Tokyo suburbs from the metaphysical shenanigans of their saintly entourage.

I'm not sure what to say about volume 7 that I haven't already said about the previous six. If you're reading this book, you're either just starting and couldn't find any of the previous volumes, or you're enjoying the series as much as I am. In either case, welcome!
I've been posting photos of all of the physical media I read to Facebook as I finish them. It started as a way to track magazines *and* books since Goodreads only tracks the latter. Anyway, when I posted Saint Young Men Vol. 7 prior to writing this review, a friend asked if it was amusing? The more I think about it, the more I think about how fitting the term is. Does it make me roll around on the floor holding my aching sides in helpless laughter? No. Is it the funniest thing I've ever read? No. "Amusing" isn't loud or boisterous. It doesn't call attention to itself. "Amusing" is a warm glow that makes you glad to be alive. It's a shared, silent smirk between friends. Saint Young Men never fails to amuse and delight, and I'm constantly amazed at how boundlessly inventive it is. Seven volumes in, with no continuing story, and it never gets stale or boring.
