Juniper Springs #2

The Summer Sisters

Rate this book
Fans of Lori Foster and Maisey Yates won't be able to put down this heartwarming, multi-generational story about three sisters' search to reunite their family and the love they find along the way.

The Buchanan sisters share everything—including their inherited Juniper Inn. But when their mother won’t let go of a decades-long feud with their Aunt Sassy to attend the inn’s grand re-opening, the sisters decide a family reunion is long overdue.

Youngest sister Rose is determined to put together an extravagant celebration. Only she needs to convince a certain surly hardware store owner to help finish the inn’s renovations.

After a heartbreaking end to her marriage, Dahlia and her kids are just starting to rebuild their lives. Dahlia’s even considering opening herself up to love again, but will that upset the stability she’s worked so hard to give her children?

Sassy McGrath has never stopped missing her sister, Lillian, and though they’ve both been too stubborn to reconcile, some shocking news might finally change everything. As family bonds are tested, will these two very different generations of women find the strength to believe in themselves and each other?

The Summer Sisters by Sara Richardson is the second book in the contemporary romance Juniper Springs series. Now, unlike a lot of romance series the Juniper Springs series has kept the same characters that were in the first book and continued their stories. While a reader wouldn’t be totally lost picking this up as a standalone there was a lot of character building in the first book that set up the events in this one making it best enjoyed reading them in order.

The first book of the Juniper Springs series, Home for the Holidays, introduced readers to the Buchanan sisters who had all been contacted by their Aunt Sassy with a plea to visit for the holidays. The sisters had fond memories of spending time in Colorado with their aunt at the Juniper Inn that Sassy owned. Those times were cut short for them though when their aunt and mother had a falling out years before so their aunt requesting a visit had them all worried something was wrong. However, after arriving Sassy explained to Dahlia, Magnolia and Rose that she wanted to pass the Inn down to them.

After taking a step back and making some huge decisions in all of their lives Dahlia and Rose decided that they were going to take Sassy up on her offer and move to Colorado. Now the ladies are finishing up repairs on the Juniper Inn and beginning new relationships as they start the next chapter in their lives. Just as Dahlia and Rose are about to throw a birthday party for Sassy though their mother arrives in town still holding onto her old family feud with Sassy.

The first thing I want to mention with this series is a big kudos to whomever was in charge of the title and cover choices! Both fit this series to a perfectly and capture all that you find inside the respective books. Having read both books in this series I loved picking this one up and returning to these ladies who are beginning to feel like family, sometimes a bit dysfunctional but loving and kind all the same. It was nice to showcase not one, not two, and not even really three but four possible blossoming relationships too all in one book. I don’t know if the author plans to head back to Juniper Springs but I’ll certainly be happy to head back if she does with this second book landing at four and a half stars for me.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

A fun, feel good, family centered small town story, with a heap of heart and a dash of romance. This is the second book in the Juniper Springs series set in the beautiful Colorado Rockies. This book was just as charming as the first and although it can be read as a standalone I am certain after reading this you will want to go back and read the first. I just love the strong sense of family, the bond between the sisters, and the tension between aunt Sassy and the girls mom Lillian. I also love the small town setting, the sense of community and all the fabulous secondary characters. There is also some romance, but it is very understated and takes a bit of a backseat to the rest of the story. An uplifting story that put a smile on my face, can’t wait to see what’s next in this delightful series.

THE SUMMER SISTERS has got to be the best feel good story I have read in a long time. In the previous book, Home for the Holidays, Magnolia, Dahlia and Rose find their way back to the Juniper Inn and their Aunt Sassy who has the perfect name, and more importantly to each other. I loved that we got Aunt Sassy’s point of view in THE SUMMER SISTERS too! I want an Aunt Sassy! Aunt Sassy has a medical issue she’s hiding from everyone. Hang on to your seats, it’s a crazy rollercoaster ride!

I have only read Sara Richardson once before but after reading THE SUMMER SISTERS I know I will be reading everything by her that I can get my hands on. She hooked me from the very first page. I found myself totally absorbed in this story and I enjoyed getting to know all of the characters within this heart tugging story. This is such a beautiful series and so very uplifting. I do hope we get more from all these wonderful characters! I found all of the characters very real and relatable and it was interesting to read how they are all dealing with their problems in very different ways and it takes a summer to try and help them get their lives put back together.

THE SUMMER SISTERS has it all, romance, grief, great dialogue, and awesome characters. Once I started reading, it was very hard to stop! I have made it a quest to catch up on the rest of Sara’s books because her writing is just that good. She makes her readers feel every emotion her characters are feeling to the point where you feel as if you are right there, struggling along with them. My emotions were on a wild roller coaster ride from the first page all the way until the very end. At first I really tried to read it slowly and make it last, but soon I was so caught up in everyone’s lives and business, I was flipping the pages like a mad woman.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Forever. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This was such a fun read, the drama, the family, the sweet slow romance. I did read the first book in the Juniper Springs series but this one could be read as a stand alone. You would not be lost and you would love it just the same.
Get this 4 star read and kick back by the pool and enjoy it. I recommend it.

Another fabulous trip to Juniper Springs. I really enjoyed this one maybe even more than Home for the Holidays. It was great to catch up with each sister and loved exploring the relationship between the aunt and the mom - sisters everywhere!

I hope there is more of this delightful series.

This book made for the perfect summertime read. Everything about this novel was pure excellence starting with the atmospheric settings of a small cozy town alongside a memory filled cabin resort by the lake.

I loved each of the characters and their individual stories. As each of these characters are at different ages and stages of life, many readers will be able to relate to different characters and the life experiences each of them are going through within this novel.

This book was part Hallmark movie, part cozy small town romance, and all parts heartwarming. I would love to see this novel adapted to film because it has everything that I look for in a good story (and movie).

I hope this isn’t the last book set in Juniper Springs because I’m not ready to say goodbye to such a beloved town and the characters that live there.

Sara Richardson is one of my favourite authors. I get so excited whenever I have the chance to pick up her books. They feel whimsical, romantic and fun. I hate romance novels that bore me - I want the joy of being whisked away on a romantic adventure (like a swash buckling pirate wants to go on a ship and sail across the sea). Every time I pick up Sara's books, it feels like home. I'm free to enjoy the romance and smile. These are the kind of books I LOVE.

This book was no different! I'm super glad I picked this book up because it was such a gem. I read the original book of this series, so it was no problem for me going for round two. I do recommend picking up the first book if you get the chance, because a lot goes on in the first novel (and man am I glad it continued - so many ways this could have gone!).

New relationships, new adventures and a whole lot of spunk fills this book. It's a heartwarming, drama-filled, women's fiction novel. These women grow and learn - which is exactly what I want. Give me more! I love it.

Four out of five stars.

Oh my goodness! This book is the epitome of a nice warm hug. After I read the last page, I closed the book and smiled. It was so charming.

I love myself a small town setting. Bonus points if there's a character starting drama, haha! Cause you know there's going to be at least one...

Such a great cast of characters. The slow burn romances ... yes, there's more than just one! A wonderful storyline with very real situations and emotions. I can't wait to see what's next for these fantastic characters!

The Summer Sisters is the second in Sara Richardson's Juniper Springs series but can be read as a stand alone. Though I do plan on going back to read Home For The Holidays.

Thank you so much Grand Central Publishing and Forever for my gifted copy!

A perfect follow-up to “Home for the Holidays” ❤️ I so hope the series continues! These books fit into the category I’ve named “wholesome small town sister fiction” ~ light and feel-good and always some sort of romance but there’s a lot going on with all the side stories because SISTERS! Also this is set in a town that is right near where my mom lives in Colorado so I love visiting the area through story when I can’t be there IRL. If you like this specific sub-genre, definitely pick this series up starting with “Home for the Holidays”.

Quaint, uplifting, and delightfully addictive!

In this second novel in the Juniper Springs series, The Summer Sisters, we head back to the idyllic Colorado mountains and into the lives of the Buchanan sisters as they navigate the ups and downs of relocating, renovating their beloved Juniper Inn, smoothing old familial grudges, fresh opportunities, and blossoming new love interests.

The writing is expressive and fluid. The characters are genuine, reliable, and compassionate. And the plot, including all the subplots, is an immersive, enchanting tale about life, love, family, determination, kindness, forgiveness, self-discovery, contentment, friendship, and romance.

As some of you may remember, Home for the Holidays was one of my top reads for 2020, so when I heard Richardson would be writing a second book for the wonderful characters in Juniper Springs, I was beyond ecstatic, and she didn’t disappoint. The Summer Sisters is another thoughtful, emotive, beautiful tale with a lot of heart, hope, humour, and happiness that I am happy to say I absolutely devoured and is certainly one of my top reads of 2021.

The Summer Sisters is a continuation of the story of the Juniper Inn and the women who love and run it.
In the previous book, Home for the Holidays, Magnolia, Dahlia and Rose find their way back to the Juniper Inn and their Aunt Sassy and most importantly to each other.

In The Summer Sisters, they grow and find their place in their own lives and families. I absolutely loved the strong bond these women have with each other. It is such a strong family centered story. I loved the multigenerational aspect, this generation of sisters and Sassy and Lillian ( their aunt and mother)
Seeing each sister have their own story, be happy and find love was great. 🥰

This is a great read, you will be feeling all sorts of emotions as you read through each chapter.

I would like to thank the publisher Forever Publishing and the author Sara Richardson for my advanced gifted copy in exchange for my honest review.

This was a fun read. Very charming and makes you want to be there with the family in this book.
There is a lot going on to keep you on your toes. This novel is multi-generational which makes it lots of fun, from an elderly mother and aunt down to running around toddlers there is not a dull moment. A renovation project turns up the stress but wait, here comes help and he just may be the most handsome thing she's ever seen.
Family drama erupts when a long ago family feud is brought to the forefront, can we just please have a peaceful reconciliation ladies, or not?
More than one sweet romance to keep you entertained, this fun book is a not to miss one!

Has anyone else been in the mood for cozy, comfort reads lately? My anxiety has been through the roof again so I’ve been craving a pure escape when I read and this one was such a delight. It’s set in Colorado and follows three sisters as they’re about to have a grand reopening of The Juniper Inn. I love a multigenerational story and besides Rose, Dahlia and Magnolia there’s also their aunt Sassy and their mother Lillian. There was plenty going on here plot wise since each sister has some sort of romantic storyline and Lillian and Sassy have a decades long feud. So there’s romance and family drama all in an idyllic, quaint setting that I couldn’t get enough of. I really hope there’s a third book coming up because I love this little family!

The Summer Sisters was a delightful follow-up to Home for the Holidays where we return to Juniper Springs and the Buchanan sisters.

After reuniting with their Aunt Sassy in Juniper Springs over Christmas, the Buchanan sisters are ready for the next step in their lives: reopening the Juniper Inn. With the renovations nearly complete, a grand re-opening is planned to coincide with Sassy's 70th birthday party. But first Rose wants to stage a family reunion and mend the rift between her mother Lillian and Sassy. Only Rose won't be able to do it alone, she'll need help from her sisters and a certain handsome hardware store owner.

Unlike Home for the Holidays which followed just the three sisters, The Summer Sisters follows Rose and Dahlia, with the addition of their aunt Sassy. Magnolia has returned to Florida with her husband so she's not in most of the book. I liked the addition of Sassy's chapters as it was nice to see her perspective of what was going on. I often wondered what her thoughts would be about some of the events in the first book so this was a nice change. The Summer Sisters picks up several months after the end of the first book and there were definitely some changes I hadn't seen coming.

The budding romance between Dahlia and Ike has fizzled since the last book, largely due to Dahlia's issues although not for Ike's lack of trying. I did find myself frustrated with how much Dahlia gave into the whims of her daughter when it came to her love life and I was glad when that situation was finally resolved. Rose and Cole have become closer in the months between books and I enjoyed the pair's friendship. And like I suspected after finishing the first book, their friendship turns romantic and I really enjoyed the pair together. The book even has a romance for Sassy which I thoroughly appreciated as I love her character. In addition, we also got to see some changes in the relationship between Sassy and Lillian (the sisters' mother) as well as some changes to the town.

Overall The Summer Sisters was a great read and I would highly recommend the series if you're looking for some good contemporary books.

This genre and style of book is not my typical but gosh darn, it was adorable! A wholesome, cute love story about 3 sisters, just trying to find love in their lives. We also get a great love story for Aunt Sassy and she and her sister Lilian get to work on their relationship.

This was a lovely summer read.

This story is a continuation from the previous books and we have Rose, Dahlia and their aunt Sassy at the forefront of this novel trying to figure out the what next phase of their lives!

With restorations happening around the inn the family had their hands full and some surprises are in store for not just the family but the townsfolk as well!

I loved getting reunited with the family and I hope there is more to come because I love these sisters so much! I’m excited for ALL of them to get their HEA!

This is a second in a series book. I had not read the first book but I was able to follow along with no issues. The author did a nice job of mentioning needed details without making you feel like you needed to go back and read to the first book. I would suggest that you start with the first book though.
The story was written with the chapters alternating between perspectives of the three main characters. There was a variety of ages/generations of the characters, including main and sub-characters which has become something that I like. It is always nice to read about a character that is over 50.
The book would be a perfect story to be made into a Hallmark movie. It reminded me of the many movies I have watched over the years. It was not surprising that the story ended as it did and really there was no big moments but I did enjoy reading it. At times I found myself getting frustrated with the characters because of important details they kept to themselves or how they did deal with matters until absolutely necessary.
The story came to a conclusion with the expected outcomes and the traditional happy-ever-after. It was an easy, and relatively clean, read.

Thanks to the publisher, Forever (Grand Central Publishing), and NetGalley for giving the opportunity to read and review this book.

Although I didn't enjoy this book quite as much as Home for the Holidays, I liked catching up with the sisters and Sassy to see what came next after the events of the first book.

I think what I found off-putting (for lack of a better word) about this book is that some of the storylines seemed quite finished at the end of the first book and in order to have some story in The Summer Sisters it seemed like problems had to be created between certain characters just to give them a continuing story. On the positive side, I really liked seeing Sassy get her own romance and her relationship with Lillian finally getting some closure.

A good story with characters I really liked from the first book, but just didn't really see the need for a second book.

This book is so sweet, even the cover is sweet! I love romance novels, more than any genre, even though I do read plenty of genres, but romance novels are my favorite, and this book has brought me to tears one too many times, that is how sweet this book is.

So pretty much this book is about three sisters and their aunt, and what is so amazing, it’s a relationship that these sisters have with their aunt, they love her as if she was their mother, but this is the thing Aunt Sassy and Lilian (her sister), are not talking and haven’t for years.

Even though a lot of family drama was able to be resolved I loved how the book didn’t just focus on only one character, we got to see everyone falling in love, Rose finally opens up about her feelings, she’s pretty funny I loved her in this book, Dahlia was able to rekindle her romance from the last book (I won’t spoil it) but that was fun for me to read, and even Sassy got in on the love train! It was just such a sweet book.

So sad to finish it so fast!! *tears*

This book is book two in The Juniper Springs series. I didn’t read book 1 this could be easily read as a stand alone, but you’re curious about what happens in the Buchanan Family. The dynamic between then sisters and aunt are perfect amount of drama and charm. Another testament that families can help each other through anything, because family is everything. This is a perfect sweet and refreshingly clean summer read. Excellent paired with a chilled white wine on the porch or beach read.

The Summer Sisters follows the Buchanan sisters as they fix up the Juniper Inn that they inherited from this Aunt Sassy. The story is told from three perspectives: sisters Rose and Dahlia, and their aunt Sassy. I read The Summer Sisters largely as an audiobook and each of the perspectives is told by a different narrator, which I thought really worked for the story! I loved getting to know each of the women and their individual struggles and triumphs. I highly recommend The Summer Sisters for fans of women’s fiction, especially family dramas!

Dally and Rose move to Juniper Springs Colorado to update and re-open their Aunt Sassy’s resort cabins. They are surprising their Aunt with newly updated cabins, and an open house on her 70th birthday. In an attempt to repair a broken relationship between their mother Lilian and Sassy, the girls bring Lilian to town for the open house. Will the broken relationship mend? And who will find love in an unexpected place?

I didn’t realize this was a series when I started reading it, that makes sense after a little research as to why cabins were named things such as the Gingerbread Cabin and Mistletoe Cabin that the first book was set during Christmas time. That being said, I feel like the author did a great job at introducing characters and their backstory so the first book isn’t necessary to read. I enjoyed seeing how the family and romantic relationships grew and blossomed throughout the story.

This is the Second book in this series and I enjoyed it just as much as the first. I loved going back to the Juniper Inn & seeing what was next for Dahlia, Magnolia, Rose and their aunt Sassy as they move on with renovating, new opportunities and new and renewed love. The characters are so likable and Aunt Sassy lives up to her name even at 70 years old! The bond the sisters have is just as strong, and they even work on restoring their relationship between their mother and their Aunt Sassy that had been estranged for many years after a misunderstanding and miscommunication.
If you’re in the mood for a family centered story with lots of strong women as the focus, this is the book for you, even if you haven’t read the first book (but I do recommend it because it’s just fab!)

Book #2 in the Juniper Springs series. After inheriting the Juniper Inn from their aunt, the Buchanan sisters have plans to renovate the Inn and put together a nice grand re-opening. In order to do this, Rose needs help from the hardware store owner who remembers Rose from childhood, who Rose doesn't remember. Dahlia is trying to rebuild her life after a divorce. Sassy, the girls aunt, wants to be reunited with her estranged sister. Will Rose get the repairs done in time for the celebration? Will she be able to reunite her aunt and her mother?

This series was a fun follow-up to Home for the Holidays. This book makes me feel warm and fuzzy. The book + the characters are sweet and wholesome. I could not get enough!

Thank you Forever Publishing for the arc.

The Summer Sisters in the second book in Sara Richardson's Juniper Springs series, set in a small town in Colorado, and unfortunately, I'd not read the first book in the series which was set over the Christmas holidays, and I strongly suggest you start with the first book in the series. The first and second times I tried to get into this novel, I suffered from character confusion--all of the sisters in question, as well as their aunt Sassy, and even their dog, are named after flowers--Dahlia, Rose, Magnolia, etc., and there's Aunt Sassy (Sassafras) as well, but the third attempt was the charm and I was finally able to get into this rather sweet, slow moving novel about the bonds of sisterhood and family, and for this reader, and for several reasons, it was a 3-star read.

What I liked about this novel was that it was well-written and also told with alternating narration, which did eventually make it easier to understand which character was which. Only one sister has been lucky in love, and just prior to her 70th birthday, Aunt Sassy has given them, and Colt, the son of a former lover whom she raised to adulthood, her run-down and currently ramshackle Juniper Inn, which she owned and operated for decades, and Rose has upended her life to move there, restore and improve it, with the help of Dahlia, if they're to have any hope of being able to open it and turn it into a profit-making venture. Aunt Sassy, accompanied by Colt, has been traveling and checking items off her bucket list for the past two months, and is due to return soon, and the inn and it's cabins are far more dilapidated than Rose had anticipated, and repairs are taking too long and costing far too much, and they want to reopen in time to celebrate both the grand reopening and Sassy's 70th birthday, and get their mother, Lillian, to reconcile her 18-year grudge against her sister, Sassy, too. It's a tall order, but they are committed to making the Juniper Inn a popular and profitable tourist venue.

While this is billed as a romance novel, and the ladies all have rather complicated, and often one-sided relationships with some of the local men, The Summer Sisters is a Hallmark movie of a novel, and I'd have listed it as more women's fiction than a romance. As an only child, I found little in this novel that I could relate to, never having personally experienced the deep bonds of sisterhood. While it's a pleasant read, I had a problem understanding how these grown women couldn't seem to honestly and openly express their feelings for the men who come into their lives and their interest in deepening those relationships. Even Aunt Sassy is keeping secrets, and in a novel where not much actually happens and in which there is no real momentum, drama or romance, this novel simply wasn't my cup of tea. It was a sweet read, and will probably be more well-liked by those who do relate to the sister experience more than this reader was able to do.

All in all, The Summer Sisters isn't a bad read, but it's a sweet, clean read, and I tend to prefer a little more heat and lot more action, suspense and drama than this novel delivered.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.

3.5 stars-THE SUMMERS SISTERS is the second instalment in Sara Richardson’s contemporary, adult JUNIPER SPRINGS story of women’s fiction focusing on the Buchanan sisters (Rose, Magnolia, Dahlia), their mother Lillian, and their aging aunt Sassy.

Told from three third person perspectives (Rose, Dahlia, Sassy) THE SUMMER SISTERS advances the series approximately eight months after Aunt Sassy ‘gave’ the Buchanan sisters the Juniper Inn, in Juniper Springs, Colorado. Magnolia went home to start a family with her husband Eric, while Rose and Dahlia remained behind to work on the repairs and upgrades at the Juniper Inn.

Dahlia is a divorcee, single mother who has fallen in love with Juniper Springs’ only doctor but Dahlia’s ten year old daughter is struggling in the wake of her parents divorce, and begins to make life difficult for her mother going forward.Believing her children have already suffered enough, Dahlia is willing to push Dr. Ike out of her life, and in doing so, pushes away the man with whom she will fall in love.

Rose, as the youngest, walked away from her last relationship realizing she wasn’t in love with a man who wanted something different but Rose had fallen in love with the local hardware store owner Colt, Aunt Sassy’s ‘step-son’ of a sort, but nothing seemed to have progressed in recent months. When Colt announced he was selling the store, and moving out of state, Rose began to withdraw believing she wasn’t worthy of Colt’s love.

Meanwhile, Sassy’s return from a few months on the road finds the spunky spinster struggling with health issues. When the town’s mayor stepped down, Sassy was voted in as the interim mayor, and walked into a potential minefield of small town problems, falling in love in the process with the man at the center of the controversy.

Rose, Dahlia and Magnolia’s mother Lillian has been estranged from her sister Sassy for years, and neither one is willing to reveal the truth about what happened or why. As the Buchanan sisters struggle with their mother’s anger towards their beloved Aunt Sassy, secrets will be revealed, and a health scare pushes the sisters together, at last.

THE SUMMER SISTERS is an ensemble storyline following several paths and relationships, friendships and love but as individuals, each of the heroines struggles with issues of self-esteem, acceptance, a lack of communication, and a stubborn streak that knows no end. Rose and Dahlia’s love lives are threatened by headstrong women, and persistent doubt, while Lillian’s embattled relationship with her sister Sassy stems from resentment and perceived betrayal at a time when she needed her sister the most. At times, it was a struggle to like or accept any or all of the heroines’ -their immature behavior was often difficult but in the end, forgiveness, acceptance and friendships aka character development overcame any of the aforementioned attitudes and behaviors. The premise is entertaining; the characters are energetic, and colorful; the romances are mostly implied.

THE SUMMER SISTERS!
✩✩✩✩✩

The Summer Sisters follows our main characters through a triple-perspective lens of 70-year-old Aunt Sassy and her nieces Rose and Dahlia, as they endeavor to bring a run down inn (The Juniper Inn) back to life in the mountain range of Juniper Springs, Colorado. Through obstacles from broken roofs to divorce to feuds and estrangement, this positive, heartfelt, motivational, and stunning summer read will surely keep you hooked, obsessed, and immersed in the story of the Buchanan family. With a insta-love theme as well, you won’t want to miss this book releasing July 6, 2021.

Having not read the first book, Home for The Holidays, I was nervous going into this thinking I’d be lost the entire time and unable to make any connection to the plot or characters. That ended up being far from the truth! This was such as incredible read that had me enveloped in everyone and everything from the first page. Being that we are amid summer, this was the perfect afternoon read in my backyard with nature. For its 300 page entirety, the range the authors provide with characters of varying generations with dilemmas, and obstacles of life, makes this a perfect read for anyone of any age, as it’s easy to relate to the sisters and their aunt. The family drama this book provides will definitely resonate with everyone, and above all, the theme of the importance of family as a support network. In the end, through heartbreak, divorce, or run down inns, family will always stick by your side no matter what.

It’s often seen in the book community that the books we want to add to our TBR are the ones that are the most action packed, smut filled, intense enemies to lovers, and mild boggling fantasy, but The Summer Sisters while the opposite of what’s normally wanted, will completely captivate you and help you escape to their world through the positive and realistic lens of family, love, and hardship. Add this to your TBR, ASAP!

This story is continued from Home for the Holidays, follows the same three sisters and the inn they are restoring. Each sister has her own journey, and this book gives a lot of attention to Rose, Dahlia (and her kids) and the relationship between their mom and Aunt Sassy. As the sisters plan the final touches of the renovations and the grand re-opening celebration, they also face the rift that has kept the older generation from being on speaking terms for years.

The multigenerational aspects really shone through in this book (where the first book was more about the sisters reconnecting with each other). Aunt Sassy lives up to her name and brings a fun light to the town. I loved (and found myself heartbroken) with the choices that led to the rift between the elder sisters.

This was a super sweet story, which after reading the first book is exactly what I was banking on. All the characters are dealing with very different situations and as narration jumps between them, the focus remains on each woman. As each of these books progresses I have fallen in love with this family and their stories and enjoy each new addition.
