Miss May Madison Hayes "This book is part of the Calendar Girl series." Cord Hardin has received an ultimatum from the snooty socialite he's been dating. She's given him one week to learn how to speak and behave like a gentleman or he can just go find himself someone else. In a half-hearted effort to redeem himself, Cord hires a part-time English tutor. One look at the rugged, ex-pro bull rider and Cord's new tutor decides that he's the best argument for casual sex she's ever seen. So what if she's not the most beautiful woman in the world. Cindy's never met a guy who'll turn down a little no-strings-attached sex. Cindy's planned seduction works to perfection. But as she prepares Cord for his weekend date, she can't help but get emotionally attached to the tall, sexy cowboy. Fortunately for her, Cord is determined to make sure Cindy Patterson stays attached.
Employed as an engineer, I’ve worked in an underground mine that went up—inside a mountain. I’ve swung over the Ohio River in a tiny cage suspended from a crane in the middle of an electrical storm. I’ve hung over the Hudson River at midnight in an aluminum boat suspended from a floating barge at the height of a blizzard, while snowplows on the bridge overhead rained slush and salt down on my shoulders. You can’t do this sort of work without developing a sense of humor and a taste for adventure.
A relative newcomer to the publishing industry, I read my first romance five years ago and decided to try my hand at writing. Both my reading and writing habits are subject to mood and I usually have several stories going at once. When I need a really good idea for a story, I clean toilets. Now there’s an activity that engenders escapism.
I was surveying when I met my husband. He was my ‘rod man’. While I was trying to get my crosshairs on his stadia rod, he dropped his pants and mooned me. Next thing I know, I’ve got the backside of paradise in my viewfinder. So I grabbed the walkie-talkie. “That’s real nice,” I told him, “but would you please turn around? I’d rather see the other side.”
It was love at first sight.
From her website: "Except for a handful of big names, authors don't make that much money. Over eight years I wrote twenty-odd stories but couldn't make a living as a writer. I'm fortunate that I have a second career to fall back on and have returned to my old job. Taking into account my current work load, I doubt I will finish another story.
...but it was fun while it lasted!
I am removing my books from circulation as I get my rights back from my publisher.

When washed up rodeo cowboy Cord is given the boot by Veronica, his society girlfriend, he decides to make himself over and win her back. He hires Cindy, an English teacher, to tutor him and make him presentable. The heat and chemistry between them flares immediately. Cindy, who is overweight and is used to being overlooked by men, does not object to a little casual sex, believing that she should take what she can get. But as the tutoring continues, feelings develop and the relationship no longer remains casual to Cindy. I found this contemporary erotic romance to be refreshing, light and fun. It’s well-written (especially the sex scenes), and I especially liked Cindy’s openness about her sexuality despite her weight issues. For readers looking for romances featuring full-figured heroines, I highly recommend this one.
An okay erotic romance but I didn't feel romance flowed with the story. One minute their relationship was just steamy sex then it was serious and then back to sex again all the while full of misunderstandings. Cord hires Cindy to tutor him in how to be a gentleman so he can get his girlfriend back.
I really enjoyed this one, a short story but author was able to get the characters personalities across, you felt like you got to know them and like them. Want to read the others in the series now, hot love scenes and the characters were charming and funny.
