After escaping Doragon’s clutches, Roy finds himself stranded in the Windblight, a harsh desert under the control of a rival clan – one that won’t think twice about tossing him in their fighting arena to pay off a perceived debt.
Meanwhile, Aika, Ferry, and Hermit face their own problems in the form of retribution from the Itachi clan. While Hermit might be a Sovereign, his sister carries the same title.
With enemies closing in on all sides, the three of them must work hard to stay ahead and continue on the trail of their abducted friend.
Fool me once shame on you, fool me four times and I should just accept that I am a sucker. I keep coming back because the first book had such potential. Each passing installment has been varying levels of bad. I'm not going to talk plot, there isn't much of one anyway. The editing is still garbage. I didn't catch any misspellings, but there are a number of incorrect words. Also and much worse is when the author confused the characters and uses the wrong characters name. I spent far too much time trying to decipher what was going on. Speaking of cipher, the writing style is atrocious. Often times what is written is technically not grammatically incorrect, but it is the most confusing. The author has written a ton of books yet his style hasn't grown at all it seems. Lastly the characters. After four books most of them are still paper thin. They have no depth, and the only one which does, the MC is probably the least likable one of them all. There is also the problem that none of the characters follow any kind of logic. They do or feel whatever the author needs them to so the story goes where he wants it to. Their choices are all over the place , which takes the reader out of the moment. I kept going because I had hope. The first book was a decent start, and I'm a sucker for cultivation novels. I've lost that hope. I don't think the author cares about what he writes. He's just publishing as many books as quickly as he can. Lastly in a personal appeal to the author, please stop using the exclamation point!
Roy is a mystery that no one seems to have an answer to
As Roy returns from attaining green belt, he is stunned to learnt that his lives and is a Sovereign. And that he sent the red eyed man looking for him. So he grabs Roy and uses a teleportation device to attempt to drag him back to his father but Roy pieces together that he shouldn’t trust him and surprised his captio and escapes the gate stones portal tunnel landing in the desolate Windblight where he is soon captured and thrown into an arena to fight for his life, and then things get really strange as his belt begins changing color…
What a fun book! All of them thus far have proved good reads, strong characters, exciting revelations, and clean reading. I especially like when writers of this genre do not think there is a need for profanity. When writers write a good story, the clear, clean, and concise story flow to the reader. The reader is taken away to walk beside the protagonist and feels emotions against the antagonist. Well written and fun!
Probably my least favourite of the series, mainly because of some of the choices made. The new environment was cool in the Blightlands, and some of the arena/gladiator fighting was cool, especially the mystery of Roy's shifting belt. But why did they almost immediately think he was an all powerful Eternal? Enough to stake their clan's future on it? And why host a tournament for no reason? And what ended up happening with Marrie?
I enjoyed this one quite a bit. The inclusion of backstory on our protagonist was done very well. Explaining somethings but with a whole lot of questions to still be answered. Im not entirely sure wether im more excited for book five in this series or book eight (nine?) In Rise to Omni more.
The series has progressively gotten better and better as the books go by. The world building keeps expanding and more and more mysteries come into being as Roy advances along his path. I'm looking forward to how this series turns out and am eagerly awaiting book 5
Takes off like a rocket from where the story left us in the last book. Amazing locations, action packed fight sequences and levelling, what more can we ask for? Need the next one please.
Took me a bit to remember what happened in the last book but then it clicked. This one rollicks along at quite a pace. Lost of MC development and at last some core reveals. Very interesting premise and looking forward to the next one book 5 very much.
I’d been reading this book at a leisurely pace over the last couple of days until this evening when I found myself hooked completely and devoured over half the book in one short sitting. Story is fantastic, growth is phenomenal and the characters are all top notch
The fights. The unraveling of mysteries. The progression of interpersonal relationships. Everything came ahead and wrapped up very nicely in this book. I am jumping straight into the next one, thank the gods that I didn’t have to wait for the next one to release.
Very well written as always! I loved how this series is turning out and all the secrets turning out! As always, eagerly awaiting the next one in the series!
I enjoyed the adventure you took we, the readers, on. Reading your other series now and at book 3 of 10. Also exciting to read. THANKS for your hard work and sharing your talent.

GREAT BOOK!!! The belt changing colors is so mysterious and the explanation just makes sense I loved his realization of being stronger than his adversaries for the first time.
