There is a way the church can help the wounded move beyond their hurts, habits, and hang-ups to experience the forgiveness of Christ. Celebrate Recovery helps the church fulfill its role as Christ's healing agent. You don't have to lead alone. To lead people forward in spiritual, physical, and emotional restoration is to walk in the footsteps of Christ. And that's why the Celebrate Recovery Leader's Guide is so important. With everything you need to encourage lasting life-change, the leader's guide is the best way to facilitate Celebrate Recovery in your church and help people look forward to a whole new future. The Celebrate Recovery Leader's Guide Along with a willing heart, this leader's guide is invaluable for leading men and women forward in complete restoration and transformation through Christ.
An excellent guide to recovery from addiction, compulsive behavior or whatever persistently opposes your true life, based on the AA 12 steps. The author includes appropriate personal stories told by individuals in the Celebrate Recovery program along with Rick Warren's commentary. I prefer the original language of AA but this program sounds like a winner.
I grew up in a church where I saw CR change lives. After reading this in the context of a biblical counseling class I regret to say I don’t care much for CR. I love the impact, but the way it’s taught in the book has me scratching my head. Scripture was used strangely, examples were odd, and much more. Again, if CR has positively impacted you please don’t read this and think “Wow, Grant sucks.” Rather, go back and read the book knowing my stance.
Used this for a sermon series in my church, focused on the principles and steps as useful in the lives of all people, not just those suffering from addictions. As the program states, we all have hurts, habits, and hang-ups which steal joy from our lives so this program is applicable to all of us. The acrostic way of delivering the points grew a little tiresome, but the structure of the lessons and the scripture references were good.
Great way to ensure meetings are on track. This guide has everything you need to begin a celebrate recovery meetings, right down to the bottom and say you can print out informational sheets and leader ship guidance and check sheets a great investment.
