Vernon Heath is a dyed-in-the-wool Vermonter, poacher, and man on a mission. What he hunts now isn’t for the dinner table though. These creatures are deadly. Vernon and a handful of others enter the woods to end a centuries-old curse and protect future generations. But are they too late?
The Pact is the fourth in the “Monsters in the Green Mountain” series, all of which can be read as stand-alone novels. The series has been called, “terrifying,” and “page-turning” by readers. All of the books are set in the remote wilderness of Vermont and feature folklore, supernatural elements, and pulse-pounding action.
"I know what I'm getting with your books, but this was terrifying." -Helen B., early reviewer
J.P. Choquette is the author of suspense novels set in Vermont. Atmospheric pageturners, her novels are gothic inspired and frequently tie in the themes of art, nature, and psychology.
When not writing, J.P. enjoys sipping hot drinks with a great book and adventuring with her family. She's a Believer, a vintage lover, and never turns down chocolate.
Another enjoyable and creepy read from J.P. Choquette! It seems like she always finds something I’m terrified of (bats, this time), which could make it difficult to read, but the descriptions are perfect and I can’t help but to keep reading to find out what is going to happen next!
