The Kindred Tales novel Secret Santa Surprise by Evangeline Anderson, is a Christmas present that I enjoyed opening. Through a series of mix-ups, our heroine and heroes meet and treat each other in the Anderson Kindred world.
Melanie Jameson is our heroine. Divorced from the human Steve, a sleaze of a man, she has escaped to the Mother Ship to work in their PR department. She is outgoing and beautiful. Sees Clearly is a Twin Kindred who also works in the PR department and is 10 years her junior. He usually gets English words mixed up, such as using Satan for Santa, calling Melanie mature when he isn’t referring at all to her age, and occasionally not seeing clearly at all. But Melanie thinks Clear and his brother Feels Strongly are extremely handsome but just too young for her. Both Clear and Strong are smitten with Melanie, calling her an Elite, the most sought-after female in their culture. But those dratted mix-ups go to work again.
Christmas isn’t such a joyful day for Melanie. She’s facing the day spent with her dour aunt on Earth. Because of another series of mix-ups, she faces the day feeling especially lonely. She unexpectedly runs into her ex with his new girlfriend, making the whole day even worse. Even Scrooge is not as bad as Steve!
I spent many chapters worrying about Melanie and what would happen to her. Too often it seemed as if life was set against her. Plus, just when things seemed to get better, along came yet another mix-up that caused her to crash.
Of course I’m not telling what all the mix-ups are and if they all are worked out or not. But, I certainly enjoyed this book and recommend it! This book is an easy read, steamy just as Ms. Anderson can write, and even humorous at times. I really enjoyed it!

A Kindred tale to get you in the holiday spirit. This is a fun and fast paced story of an older woman and the younger Twin Kindred that are determined to make her theirs. Melanie is convinced that Clear and Strong would never be interested in her until a fun party game and a sexy Secret Santa gift she mistakenly receives. There may even be an investigation into some spiked punch which leads to much unexpected excitement on the Mother Ship. Clear and Strong must race to find Melanie to explain the events which brought them together and give her the Christmas gift she has always wanted. Wrapped up with a bow
Another wonderful holiday story from this fantastic author! I love how the author gave this older lady another chance at her HEA, it gives me hope for myself. The differences between the twins’ personalities added an amazing depth to the story that kept me enthralled until the very end. I enjoyed the hint of subterfuge and danger as well as the annoying ex who wouldn’t take a hint. Such a wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit. This book just made it into my new holiday re-read pile and I’m already anxiously awaiting the next book and the priestesses story.

Another fantastic read. You can never go wrong with a Kindred tales they never disappoint. I enjoyed everything about this book it was exactly what I needed for a quick read. Add in the fact their were plenty of laugh out loud moments some intrigued, suspense, and of course steamy romance and you have a helluva read. I also liked the sneak peek into the next Kindred book. Another fun story with the Kindreds.
Melanie is a mature woman with a failed marriage behind her. What could these young twins see in her as she's feeling old and frumpy. Age and curves are not a barrier to the Kindred and they are hot for this 'elite'. She needs a Christmas miracle. Circumstances at the Christmas party throw them together, it's not all smooth sailing though.
Such an entertaining and delightful read, I really enjoyed it.

This group have all got doubts of whether or not they’ll find their HEA, but Clear decides that he’s not giving up. Strong is a little more subtle and wants to wait to meet the female his brother has chosen, but when an accident happens, there she is in all her Elite glory and he’s hooked. When the upset at the Christmas party happens, the side effects are horrible and Strong works fast to come up with a antidote. She find out that age and size doesn’t truly matter to them and they get their HEA and a great Christmas as well.

This book was just what I needed a light steamy kindred tale. Clear , Strong, and Melanie characters were amazing I loved how easy the connection flow so easily between the main characters. The story plot is entertaining and the love scene are steamy. This is a light read that gave me all the feeling and more in the kindred tale. I also liked the sneak peek into the next Kindred book coming soon . I am definitely going to reread this book tonight. 😍😍

I usually enjoy a mindless, escapist, alien romance. I finished this, but it was painful. The writing could have benefited from a more observant editor. Unnecessary details that contributed to nothing, poor/repetitive dialogue, and a really bizarre conflict to blame behavior on. The twins were cute. She was disappointing. The sex scenes were OK. First book I've read from this author. Since this is 20-something in the series, I doubt I'll read any others. She has a lot of books, so I will give another series a try.

This Kindred Tales was definitely pulling on my. Heart strings as it came a little close to home with a heroine who is a bit older than the twin Kindred who are interested in her. Besides her feeling that as a curvy female she is not that attractive, Melanie, can’t understand why Clear and Strong would want to pursue her.
The twins may be younger but they are wise beyond their years. Clear , who works with Mel recognizes her intellect but feels she is not interested in him and his brother. They think an experienced “elite” would not be looking to bond with younger less worldly males.
Strong being the “dark” twin falls for Mel when they meet as well. He emits this very sexy dominant vibe but at the same time he is often the voice of reason.
The three have to find their way through Mel’s self sabotage, communication misunderstandings and some dangerous incidents during the holiday party, (some of this story continues in a future book).
As with all twin kindred the sex with their chosen is off the charts steamy hot, and the storyline well has lots of fun, angst, mystery, kooky old aunt, and an HEA worth the adventure all year round not just holiday time.

Melanie moved to the mother ship after her disaster of a marriage ended she works in on our relations and is working on a vid to help others understand twin kindred. She's almost 40, has generous curves and thinks love and children have passed her by that is until she meets Clear and his twin Strong. Clear works with numbers and Strong is a doctor both are young and have been looking for a forever mate but they just haven't found her yet until they meet Melanie. All three are intensely attracted to each other. But do to some misunderstandings can't seem to get things right at first. She thinks she's told old and curvy for them and they think she's to perfect and mature and wouldn't want two young no where near established kindred that have nothing but themselves to offer. But as they start to clear up the misunderstandings and fall for each other human Christmas traditions with Satan Claus oh I mean Santa Claus (you will !augh) a naughty mistaken gift and a horrible ex intrude that when things really get interesting. A wonderful Kindred Read, thoroughly enjoyable
This is another wonderful book filled with amazing characters and simply stunning storyline with a Christmas theme who could ask for more. Melanie has just escaped a marriage she would rather forget and now her divorce has finally been recognised she is starting over as a single female,
On the Kindred Mother ship Melanie has started to live her life again without the constant threat of her husband and now she finds that her co-worker a Kindred is attracted to her even though she has done nothing to encourage his attentions.
At the Christmas Secret Santa party for the employees on the Kindred Mother ship when the gifts were inadvertently mixed up and then a misunderstanding and a threat to her safety ensure that the Twin kindred take on the responsibility of ensuring her safety.
This is a wonderful seasonal read that as always will leave you unable to put down until you reach the end.

OMG 😳 was the author going through it when she wrote this? This book seemed like revenge/catharsis for a nasty divorce. She definitely had some healing to do. Lawd, how many times can someone remind us that she sees herself as old, dumpy and with low self esteem. Even the most loving partner(s) can’t fix that negative self image or self-talk.
This was a bit depressing for a Xmas read. Also- Clear and Strong? Again was this book written as a joke or a way to get through her depression? Two cute guys with weird names must represent something that we as the reader (or at least this reader) are not privy too. Also, the harping on the age gap gets old fast. There are PLENTY of books with huge age gaps with old zaddies and “baby” girls who are barely legal. It seems a bit hypocritical to make a big deal in a romance book where the woman is the focus.
I don’t think I would classify this book as a holiday romance book, but it’s quick.

What a wonderful Secret Santa Surprise. I absolutely adored this story. We got a glimpse of our hot twin Kindreds again, sadly maybe for the last time for a while. This story has all the usual chemistry, mystery, anxious moments and bad guys we have all grown to expect in Ms Evangeline Anderson books.
The story centres around Twin Kindreds, Sees Clearly and Feels Strongly and the beautiful single and older lady Melanie. Melanie has been through a lot in her life and has finally found a place where she can be herself amongst friends. She has always had a soft spot for the Light Kindred Twin, Sees Clearly but didnt believe she had a chance with the sexy younger Kindred, but Christmas is all about magic and by a innocent mistake Melanie is about to be set her Christmas on fire. Do yourself a favour this Christmas and grab this book.

I always love it when the author does a holiday story of the Kindred. This was such a sweet story.
I loved Melanie. She was super sweet, strong, and I love the fact she was older. She was open-minded. She has been through so much.
Oh, Clear was super sweet and his twin Strong was super sexy. I can not help it. I am always more attracted to the dark twin.
This was a great Christmas story and love how protective the twins were of Melanie. I love how caring and understanding they were even though there were some misunderstandings going on.
This is a story I would recommend. It has a lot to offer and of course, has those steamy parts as well.

Secret Santa Surprise was a very fun sci fi erotica book. Steamy, but not too crazy, except for the merged ****. That was nuts. I need a Clear and Strong in my life. It had just enough tech to categorize as sci fi, then get the ball rolling on the good stuff. The breast lifter mechanism needs to be made ASAP. Would make a fortune. Book had some serious all to real themes and they were described very well. That ex husband can kick rocks. Ya'll dead beats are real; spot them early before they get into your psychy. Great book, loved the whole thing.

Melanie escapes her marriage that she would just like to completely forget. Aboard the Kindred ship she meets the Twin Kindred who changes her life for the best during the holiday season. Love this Christmas Kindred story. Who knew that secret Santa gift could be so interesting. The Kindred in this one are Twin Kindred. The story does a really good job of explaining them and how they bond to their mate. It really is quite hot. The story is all Christmas but does lead to what could be some great stories after this one. Ms. Anderson knows how to right amazing tales that just pull you in. They are all very unique with plenty of adventure and romance.

When an older woman crushes on a younger Twin Kindred she feels unable to do much about it due to the way society sees these things and the fact that he is one of a Twin pair makes it even worse! Still after a mix up at a Christmas party with gifts and a spiked punch she has less inhibitions and decides to go for it! Needless to say the action is interesting!

I really love these shorter Kindred stories and the twin Kindred, Strong and Clear, are perfect! I liked how they worked together to help Melanie realize how truly fabulous she is. I am also intrigued by the hints at the next story coming up featuring a novice priestess. Good and quick read

I really enjoyed this story about a little older woman who has 2 hot younger Twin Kindreds after her. Melanie feels they are much too young for her but, in their culture, an older woman with curves is sought after. They just have to convince her. The book has lots of twists and turns to include some sexy times and some revenge on Melanie's evil ex. Love their ending!

Amazing book! Loved the twins and how sexy they were. As a 90 year old woman, its great to see older ladies get some love! Their merging was very sexy and made hot and bothered. Going forward, I wish to see more incestual relationships in Evangeline's books, just really get right up in there babe. Let's not let this 'woke' bs hold us back from having fun! Us old ladies need our young men too!

This story was soooo good. I loved Melanie's character. Their chemistry was smoking hot 🔥 especially from the Dark twin Strong. I really love the different personalities with Clear and Strong. It was nice to read another twin story. I cant wait for the next book Priestess and the thief!!

Ending was cut short in my opinion, we never got to read the twins reaction to her news.
Almost miss this one too, if i hadnt been a little confused by reading the begining of The priestess and the thief. I probably never would have known. Lol. It was a good thing these books were related.
