Falling in love is easy. Surviving from the mess it can make is everything but.

For the past five years, my heart hasn't belonged to me. I've always known it's not very rational, but the day when it said bye-bye to me and moved to a room next to mine—I knew I'd never get it back.
Tiger is a hurricane and the calm after the storm all at once, my best friend and the one I'd die for. But life is not a fucking love song, and people like us don't get happy endings. Especially when you're a daughter of Shangri-La's biggest crime boss, and the one holding your heart is your foster-brother.

You said that we're doomed from the beginning, but you know what, baby girl? We're not doomed. You are.

If Cobra thinks that she can deny me, she's sorely mistaken. When her father dragged me out of Hell, and she enchanted me with her pink hair, bruised face, and heart of gold—she got a stamp on her ass, which reads Tiger Hayes all over it.
She gave me my name, said that I'm a beast like them, so she should know better—never run, or the beast will chase.

But somebody's watching us, playing games from the shadows, and now we have to find out who's the biggest predator in the city before it's too late.

—ANTIDOTE is a dark romance containing adult content, including violence, sexual scenes, and language. Only suitable for those 18+. It's the first book in the Beasts of Prey-series.

I told myself to finish other dark series books before I started a new one. What a filthy dirty liar I am. Yet, then I see a cover reveal for a book in this series, and bam, just like that, I fell down the dark series hole.

Pay close attention to the prologue. I love how the author adds astrology signs to to this series and most characters are Leo’s (I’m biased, what can I say)

This is Tiger and Cobra’s story. Tiger is the foster brother to Cobra. It’s an intense and complicated storyline. Both love each other but can’t be together. They end up hurting each other, time, and time again. It's painful and raw. Everyone can see the chemistry between the two.

Going in blind was my best advice, I did, and it gave me a better experience. This is my first and not my last book from this author. That cliffhanger is a doozy. I can't wait to see what happens next.

How do you review something you haven’t really recovered from?
I have absolutely no idea but I’m willing to try. And let me tell you - it’s absolutely worth the heartache!

First of all, can we talk about this absolutely beautiful cover? It strongly resembles the insides of my brain going completely crazy while reading this book.
I was a complete newbie to the name L.C. Lehesaho, just kind of browsing which book to read next and the cover immediately spoke to me. When I read the description I had to order it. There was no turning back and let me tell you - it’s oh so worth it!

The prologue itself made me want to cancel work and all the other adult things to do for the day so I could stay in this world she has created for us.
All of the characters and yes, by all of them I truly mean all of them, are so perfectly matched and introduced it made me think I’ve met them in person.
L.C. manages to carry them throughout the book, staying completely true to the character traits she describes (looking at you here, Bear!), it stunned me.

Now to my favorites and the main characters this book is about - Cobra and Tiger. Could they just get it together already?! Or wait.. actually never mind that, I loved the back and forth. I wanted to smack them both at times, but that’s exactly why I love L.C. Lehesahos style of writing oh so much. You can never predict what those two are up to, there’s twists and turns and they drive you absolutely crazy in the most amazing and mind-blowing way. And of course - all the steamy stuff and connection between them - boy I’m still stuck there!

I can honestly say that this book is one of my all time favorites. Get it and prepare yourself for the craziest roller coaster ride of emotions and a serious book hangover once you’re done! I’m still not sure whether I’ve recovered from it, but there’s no antidote to the addiction the author has left me with and I can’t help myself but be more than absolutely excited for the release of part 2 - Hurricane so I can dive right back into this story.

It’s a clear 5/5* from me, hurry up Hurricane, I can’t wait for you. 🖤

HOLY CLIFFHANGER!!!! Ugh, I’m so glad I read this after most of the books were done. Geez, this was one of the most frustrating relationships to read. The Beasts of Prey are the children of mob boss Leo, named Cobra, Falcon, Bear, Wolf, Tiger, and Puma. Yes, a little cheesy. But it works for them!

Tiger is basically an adopted sibling and he’s been in love with Cobra since he met her and likewise on her end. But they both know their family would never allow them to be together so we’re basically fucking tortured by her cheating on his heart with Luke, and he returning the favor with a nameless club girl. He has bad timing because she was about to say screw it and be with him. He broke her heart.

At the same time, someone is burning down their clubs and leaving animal skulls as a calling sign and a warning. All of this culminates with Tiger and Cobra in absolute love, which was really rewarding to my pummeled heart and a cliffhanger. I really hated and loved these two! And Puma is my special little cinnamon roll. Can’t wait to see what book two has in store for me!

Imma need a damn minute because that was intense! Cobra & Tiger are straight fire and their chemistry is off the freaking charts. I don’t think I have ever read a crazier family and let me tell you they are freaking nuts!!!Honestly I’m not sure I have the words to describe how freaking amazing this book is and hold on to your balls Batman because that ending is a swift kick in the nuts for sure I cannot wait to see how this all unfolds. This is actually my first read from this author and I can tell you now you have a fan for life! Sign me up and give me all the books yesssss!!

My new status is "mixed feelings". Damn, this series confused the hell out of me. I don't know what to think of it. It made me feel like a Bipolar Disorder patient....I was high from the toxicity and intensity one minute and then resigned and detached from the plotholes and idiotic actions of the characters the next.
Nothing was making sense....but that was also the exact reason the story generated a lot of emotions. (I might not be making much sense myself but bear with me lol)

NOTE : I am writing this review after reading all three books in this series.
Book 1: 🌠🌠🌠
Book 2: 🌠🌠🌠🌠
Book 3: 🌠🌠🌠🌠

I am gonna put here exactly what I told my friends about Tiger and Cobra's story.

"It's like someone loved reading Unsainted by KV Rose and decided to change the story but keep the characters and some scenes.

I mean, the Unsainted vibes in this series are so fucking strong.
Except the heroine is no Sid..and there's no clone for Jeremiah. ( J is like my addiction so I can't imagine any Unsainted type scenario without him lol)
The MMC Tiger is exactly like Lucifer and another guy Bear is Maverick."

Now let me elaborate :

⚠️⚠️🚨 !!!!SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!🚨⚠️⚠️

💠I loved the Hayes family so much. Each family member is unique and their own kind of fucked up. They were dark, twisted,...some even demented but they have a heart (disfigured and mangled but still a heart). And their loyalty and love for family is heartwarming.

💠 Leo is a total DILF. I really wish Lehesaho writes a love story for him!! He is an awesome and developed character and I'd love to see more of him.

💠Cobra- I mentioned that Cobra is no Sid (Sid is the fmc in Unsainted series by KV Rose) and that can be slightly a good thing and is also more of a bad thing.

• So, Cobra is a wholly different beast in herself. She is strong, has fighting and weapons training, and is the sweetest in the family with a big heart. I adored that in her.

• But! Sometimes, her decisions made me wanna cut her....like seriously. I was all " Girl, I get that he was trying to protect you but you have training....so are you really gonna apologize to Tiger for going out without telling him?!! Where's the freedom? Why are you not throat punching him already!! "
And before someone puts the point forward that Cobra could have been kidnapped when she was alone, I wanna say....Tiger went out by himself all the fucking time and the kidnappers could have hurt Cobra more by kidnapping him. So there's that.

• Another incident....Cobra had sex with Luke outside the club without Condom!! He was a stranger at that time🤦🤦 She was like "I take birth control, just get inside me" which made ME go all "I hope those birth control pills protect you from STDs."
I can tolerate this bareback stuff without checking medical records when it happens with the love interest atleast, but this was so not for me.

• Also, it's mentioned later that Cobra forgot to take pills before getting kidnapped. (First of all...Really immature, dude). But, that brings forward another idiocy on Cobra's part....she could have just let her family and Tiger know that she isn't sure who the baby's father is. But nooooo, she was so fucking convinced it's Luke's!! That created another drama for 50% of the third book. 🤦I was so irritated at that part. I mean, where's the diplomacy dude!!
• She also forgave Bear too easily at the end. I am not satisfied with that at all.

💠I also mentioned in the start that there's no clone for Jeremiah....but now that I think about it ....maybe Luke was supposed to be that. And if so, he doesn't measure up.
Idk, I really didn't feel any sympathy towards him. That can mean two things....., either I am a cold-hearted, grudge holding bitch or he was just totally cray-cray and his past wasn't developed enough to arouse the required sympathy.

NOTE AGAIN: I know it's bad sport to compare two different series/books by two different authors.. and I try to avoid it with everything. But I really cannot seem to stop in this one due to some reason so forgive me.

💠 Let's talk about Falcon Hayes. That chick!! *Dreamy heart eyes*. She is totally insane and I fucking love her so so much. She's going to one of the top spots in my book girlfriend list, that's for sure. And, I am EAGERLY waiting for her book. 🔥🖤

💠 Tiger- He can be Lucifer's twin (Lucifer from Unsainted, not from hell, Don't worry lol) Actually, until his parents were revealed in book 3, I was kind of convinced he was Lucifer's twin 😂. He is toxic, short tempered, fucked up, prone to deep emotions whether it be love or hate. Lucifer's much more cruel and sinister, let me tell you that.....but Tiger wasn't far behind.
I loved Tiger's character. His past, present and dreams of future...everything about him screamed one thing ....loyalty. And that's one of my fav quality in any MC. He was pretty intense and has a thing for throats (Perfect alphahole, I am telling you!).

💠 Side characters - Loved Falcon as shown by my fangirling earlier 😍🖤.
• Bear intrigued me a lot. Like..A LOT. I can't wait for his book.
• Puma is a sweetheart but he's also holding out on us readers with his secrets...and I have a feeling his book is gonna be explosive.
• Wolf was okay for now. There wasn't much on him in this story.
• Oh, The ORDER OF THE SIX!! I mean, Valentino's impressed me. They are fucking powerful and diabolical and I am not missing their stories if my life depends on it. 😍😍

💠The push and pull between Bear and Tiger and then their scene at the end of book 3 reminded me a lot of Unsainted's Lucifer and Maverick too. It was really hot and taboo🔥

So, after venting all of that, the question is DO I RECOMMEND THIS SERIES? The answer is a big fat YES. (Especially to dark lovers, KV Rose's fans and Amo Jones' fans).
The writing is really good and intense, the story makes one's emotions go through the roof...and I think this story is of the sort where each reader perceives it in their own way.

Dark Taboo That Hooks You With The Prologue

I was given the opportunity to beta read LC LEHESAHO’s first debut full length novel and let me tell you, it did not disappoint whatsoever. I could not put this thing down. What makes this book so good to read is the way the author writes the characters. They aren’t your typical badass characters that are in a badass family. They have their flaws, and they are so unbelievably relatable, you can't help but just instantly feel connected. And don't even get me started on the twists she's able to write. Those had me at the edge of my seat!

Now I don't want to spoil anything, but the connection between Tiger and Cobra is palpable. You can feel their love for eachother, and to be honest, there were times where I wanted to just wring their necks! The tension between them is so HOT! Then that brings the tension to the rest of the family, knowing what they have is forbidden and not wanting to jeopardize anything, but you can't help but love who you love.

The Heart Wants What The Heart Wants.

LC is able to write in a way that always has you second guessing if who you're thinking the bad guy is, is really the bad guy. You just really never know. That is, until you reach the end of the book that will have you messaging the author saying “WTF, I NEED THE NEXT BOOK”. Suffice to say, this book is totally worth the read. You have everything you want in a book: sexual tension, forbiddenness, all the angest and swoon worthy MCs and confident af FMCs.

So I had never heard of LC before, and now she has a new fan!! I'll be honest, the concept behind the origin of this mafia of trained siblings, and the underworld in which their father reigns didn't exactly entice me. The prologue is a dark fairy tale explaining how this powerful family came to be, and while interesting, it's a fantastical concept that I struggled to connect with. THAT SAID, I quickly felt the deep, forbidden connection between Cobra and Tiger, and from there I couldn't put this book down!
Each sibling has been highly trained in order to protect themselves, and to maintain order in the world in which their family reigns supreme. Wolf, Bear, Falcon, Cobra, and Tiger (who is actually adopted), make up the Beasts of Prey. Their training is ongoing in order to preserve what is deemed the highest priority - family. That is why the attraction between Cobra and Tiger is so taboo - even if they aren't blood related.
A lot of emphasis is placed on the darker aspects of Cobra's psyche, and the kinks that she has only ever let Tiger see. Tiger is battling with nasty demons from his past, and Cobra is the one who lights up the dark. They rely on each other, and the push-pull, jealousy, and angst is palpable.
I KNEW going into this book that there would be a cliffhanger, but it snuck up on me all the same! I cannot wait to find out more about Tigers past, to see how the latest issue resolves itself, and most definitely how their relationship unfolds!

I received an ARC of Antidote from LC, and I'm so glad she shared it with me!

Ok so I typically really like dark romances and I didn’t hate this one, it just didn’t really work for me overall. I really like the concept and Lehasaho’s writing is generally good, but I just wish it was executed a little differently.

At first I liked Cobra and Tiger’s relationship, but it began to become incredibly toxic and both were so hypocritical. I could have forgiven that but then back and forth between them occurred so many times it got very repetitive and annoying.

I liked some parts of the family dynamic, but while their dad may not lay hands on them physically, his “reminders” when they are deemed to have screwed up are definitely a form of abuse and I don’t like that that wasn’t really acknowledged. Perhaps that will be acknowledged in future entries though.

Also, I immediately called who one of the villains was going to be literally upon the first meeting so it was a little predictable. For a 400+ page book, there really wasn't all that much movement in the plot, but I realize this is the first in an at least 4 book series so setting up the relationships and world is what the author was probably focusing on.

I was considering continuing the series as it ended on a cliffhanger, but because I was so on the fence I checked out some of the spoiler reviews first and it definitely seems to be going in a direction I will not enjoy so I’m going to quit here.

I’ll definitely check out the author whenever she releases something else not in this world.

Okay, first off that ending killed me!

Such a massive cliffhanger & twist, I’m not sure I can handle the wait until the next book is released. Damn.😩😭😭😭

Secondly, I ship Cobra & Tiger 😻 omg they’re literally the cutest.

Would also love it if Wolf had his own book, he’s very intriguing 👀🤭 just a though!

If you love forbidden foster-brother romances, filled with lots of blood & violence, with a sprinkle of family drama, then this is the book for you.

5 stars ⭐️- I suggest going in blind & having zero triggers to get the best experience.

Hey worm

Interesting concept and the push and pull between Cobra and Tiger kept the suspense all book. The ending about the last 10% really shined and had me going wt*?!?!

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out and to get more glimpses at the other Hayes'.

I have a lot to say about this book, apparently it is the author's first book and just by reading the prologue I'm in

On his 18th birthday, the boy bathed in his father's blood when he took over his city and became the new king of Shangri-La's underworld. At the same time, five different women gave birth to his youths

The story is about Cobra one of Leo's children and her adoptive brother Tiger. Both are in love with each other but because they are brothers they cannot be together, since their family is peculiar and very different.

Cobra is a strong, independent and perfectionist young woman, she wants to please her father, who raised them strictly to defend themselves. When she feels that she’s not doing things right, her only way to cope with everything is to hurt herself. While Tiger is strong and unpredictable, he had a dark past that he doesn't want to talk about, Leo saved him and made him part of his family, that's why he feels guilty but he can't help it because Cobra saved him from dying, practically. Reading a little about how they met and realized their feelings was very sweet.
I can't make her understand that even angels fall, that it doesn't make them any less an angel.

I loved and hated them, all I wanted was for both of them to be together but they are too stubborn, especially Cobra. I understand it but even so, every time they did something to hurt themselves and walk away I would scream of the stress it caused me, when they finally accepted their feelings it was perfect, I love them. They are both explosive and I love their story.
Even though I tried to hate you for it, I couldn't. You're my person.

The world and the characters that the author created was amazing, each character is important and has a specific personality. I loved the relationships of all the characters, you can really feel that they are a family. The plot is somewhat complicated, it not only focuses on Cobra and Tiger's relationship, but also on someone anonymous who wants to end the Beasts of Prey, so they spend most of the book investigating.

Secondary characters

Luke, I hated him since he appeared, I guess I don't like very happy people, but my sixth sense of witch (and reading many books) told me that there was something wrong with him, I will not say spoilers but I knew it, I am never wrong.

Puma, he's the best in the world, he's definitely my favorite character in the book. I love how he accept the relationship but at the same time as he knows his family, he knows the danger they are in, so he try to help them to overcome their feelings. Knowing a little about his past was sad, he deserves the best in the world.
Why is it that the darkest things in life make us who we are and the little glimpses of light don't matter?
Because pain conquers all, not love.
"Why are we still alive?" I ask him.
"Because we are too afraid to die after all we've done, brother."

He hates to love, but he also hates to hate love.

Falcon, we don't know much about her, but just knowing that she's one of the most sadistic of the siblings was enough to get me, I hope we know more about her in the next book. Bear I don't know what to think, I like him but at the same time I don't, I would have to get to know his character more. Wolf intrigues me too much, you could say that he is like the leader of the siblings, they describe him as serious but he didn't really appear much in the book.

Now Leo, the father of these monsters, I love and hate him at the same time, his story is tragic and he cares too much for his children but still he is a very strict man who trains them in extreme ways, he is also the cause of everything that will happen. At the moment I like him, but I'm not sure yet.

Each character is necessary and important, especially after what we found out at the end of the book, for the moment I have my suspicions but I hope I’m incorrect. I also hope nothing bad happens to the siblings.

I recommend this book to those who love the dark genre and forbidden relationships, also consider that the book ends in cliffhanger that will be developed in the next book, there is no happy ending today. I had already said it but I will repeat it, I am sick of the authors who love to destroy me, consider it if you are going to read it, also everything is connected so pay attention to the details. Without a doubt one of my favorites of the year.
We are well trained, we're the fucking Beasts of Prey

Tiger Hayes, you own my heart, soul, mind, body, EVERYTHING forever and after for all of eternity!! MINE.

MY BEASTIES!!! I LOVE THEM SOOOOO MUCH!!!!! You guys.... this series deserves wayyyyyyyyy more hype than it currently has. I will always ALWAYS recommend anything L.C. Lehesaho writes because it is PURE FREAKING GOLD. She fulfills all of my hearts needs, wants, obsessions, EVERYTHING. I will support her work ALWAYS, trust me you will too once you read her books. This book is intense, dark, raw, twisted, beautiful, heartbreaking, heartwarming, real, JUST EVERYTHING!! Before I begin my review, I need to say this... TIGER, ANTHONY... you own my heart, soul, mind, everything forever and after for all of eternity.. I freaking love him soooooo much!!

This book is the beginning of Tiger and Cobra's journey. In here, we meet the Beasts of Prey, the 6 siblings, Wolf, Puma, Falcon, Bear, Cobra, and Tiger. Tiger is is the foster sibling though that was saved by Leo, the birth-father of the rest of the siblings. Leo is basically the king of Shangri-La which is where the book takes place. This family is a badass family and each and every one of them is unique in their own ways and struggle with real-life things and have their own quirks and flaws that make beautiful in their own way. Each of them, added together creates the strongest group ever, which is why they are so successful and well known in Shangri-La. The Beasts of Prey didn't get their name for nothing, all the rumors, all the stories, all the fear built around them is because of how freaking badass, strong, fierce, and powerful they are. Leo truly created an amazing group, though he too has flaws and could have done better in a few of his methods, he still created something so beautiful that I truly wish that I had a family like they do. I instantly felt connected with all of them and love them each so so much.

Tiger and Cobra have had a undeniable connection, that is so very palpable, since Tiger was brought in to the family a few years ago. They've always been super close, best friends, and had feelings for each other even though they've both been beating around the bush when it comes to making the next move when it comes to said feelings. The desire for one another has grown more and more throughout the years to the point where it is SCORCHING HOT AND INTENSE, but fear of what their father and family will say is what keeps them from taking things to the next step... thing is though.. you can't help who you love and what the heart wants, the heart gets. Tiger is tired of denying himself of his feelings towards Cobra and is ready to risk it all for his love for Cobra, no matter what the consequences will be. Cobra though has a different opinion, as she continues to fight the connection between them and deny Tiger, thinking that they can never be a thing and have a happily ever after knowing how their family will react if they become anything more than just brother and sister. The dynamic between these two is quite addicting and there is just so much push and pull between them that just makes you want to scream or laugh or cry or just want to throw something at them every time they push each other's buttons!!! You can never predict what these two will do next to get the other's attention. But through all the push and pull and denying the truth, truth being that they love each other like crazy and are made for each other, their actions keep hurting one another and I hated seeing them do that to each other to the point I just wanted to strangle them at times! Though as I mentioned earlier, what the heart wants, the heart takes... so it was only a matter of time before these two caved and gave into what they both so desperately needed... each other. Fuck the consequences, they WILL fight for each other and show their family that they won't let anything get in-between them! Unless..... someone else has something different planned for them?? I won't spoil it, you'll just have to read it to find out what I am talking about. ;)

The plot is so thick and juicy and the suspense will have your anxiety on a never-ending rollercoaster ride that you might just die of stroke.... and there will be times you will be left with your jaw dropped to the point you will have to physically put it back in place. You will be left in shock after finishing this and you will IMMEDIATELY start the next book... or if you are like me, you will finish the whole series in one sitting and re-read it all the time because it means a lot to you. L.C. Lehesaho has my heart forever and her writing is brilliant, original, one-of-a-kind. She is a true artist delivering these masterpieces and I freaking love her so so much for giving these masterpieces to us!! Highly highly recommend this series, I always recommend her books when someone asks me what they should read. because she is just THAT good! I love Cobra and Tiger so much and the rest of the siblings too!! I know the whole family is going to be getting books which I am SOOOOO excited for, but I also hope Leo gets his own books as well as Levi!! Oh and I hope maybe more of Cobra and Tiger even though their books are finished as of now... but one can hope right? Anyways gooooooo read this now!!!!

This would have been a 5 star book for me but one thing really annoyed me. Why was TIGER the one groveling and asking for forgiveness. COBRA "cheated" FIRST, he literally SAW her fucking someone else outside their club yet forgives her. Due to a miscommunication he thinks she's sleeping with the same guy again and decides to revenge fuck someone else where she can hear it. SOMEHOW, what he did was crossing the line. He grovels and apologizes over and over. She is pissed and so goes and fucks the other dude a SECOND time raw with no pull out, a few hours later she lets Tiger eat her out then informs him that she fucked the other guy (left out the part where she fucked him raw and that Tiger is probably tasting the other guy's semen), they then have angry hate sex. She's pissed even after they have sex because she's still hurt that he slept with the other girl and decides she needs space and goes to stay with the guy she's fucked twice now RAW. Tiger still begs for forgiveness and grovels.

Now if you're like me and following along, you are correct that the only "bad" thing that Tiger did was fuck someone else ONCE out of petty revenge, AFTER Cobra fucked someone else first. Why is he the one groveling and begging for forgiveness? Why does she feel like she has the right to be mad at him sleeping with someone else, when she did it FIRST and proceeded to do it again out of petty revenge herself? Somehow in her and apparently HIS mind, when she fucks someone else it's ok but if he fucks someone else it's a violation of the highest degree. What? I really did not like the heroine, she was a hypocritical, selfish bitch. Oh and the guy she's fucked RAW twice and let cum in her twice is the bad guy. Just Wow.

In Antidote we meet the Beasts of Pray, five siblings: Bear, Wolf, Puma, Falcon, Cobra and one foster sibling, Tiger. We see these 6 as a close knit family, but quickly realize they are all killing machines in their own right. Their father, Leo, is master of his kingdom, Shangri-la.

This story centralizes around Tiger and Cobra as they dance around their desire for each other. Clearly close as they grew up together, yet also feeling the electricity of want to their core. Their father is a hard but fair man; though both know he will lose his mind at the thought of them together.

The angst with these two is tangible and the way they go over and around each other constantly is dizzying. They have a magnetic pull but Cobra fights it with every fiber of her being knowing they can’t happen. Tiger knows he has to be careful, but his passion for Cobra makes him crazy and reactionary. The dynamic with these two is enticing. I found myself laughing at times and wanting to smack them both upside the head at others. They definitely know how to push each other’s buttons!

There is a lot of push/pull going on, but it’s very appropriate as they’re grappling with feelings while trying to keep it to themselves for fear of the familial reactions. The story progresses and there is mystery lurking around every corner. There is a nice twist at the end but be warned, it does end in a cliffhanger. Luckily, book 2 is already locked and loaded!

I was intrigued by the prologue itself and wasn't able to put it down easily.🥵 The whole intensity with the characters ━protagonists as well as side━ connected with such an ease and I instantly fell in love with them.
Can't wait for the next one in series!!

10/10 - Would voluntarily rip my heart to pieces again if it means experiencing this absolute pleasure of a book 🖤♥️

You know that feeling, that amazing adrenaline rush of excitement and fear (the good kind of fear that makes the hairs stand on the back of your neck) that you get when you find an absolutely freaking amazing first book of a brand new series?? Like so darn good that it consumes you from the moment you discover it? This is EXACTLY how Antidote makes me feel. Seriously, this book, 🤩 the characters, 😍 and their stories 🖤 it is just so deliciously dark and their dynamics so intriguing with the perfect blend of humor to keep you craving for more. I legit DEVOURED this amazing first story of the Beasts of Prey and I can say without a doubt this is going up there as one of my top 5 reads of the year. I am now so damn invested in the lives of Cobra, Tiger and their siblings that I will happily be stalking this author in hopes of little tidbits and scenes from the upcoming books. She deserves every bit of these 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 and I highly recommend that y’all take the plunge like I did into this one of a kind world. Yes it is dark and absolutely heart wrenching, but what’s a little bit of pain when it comes with a whole load of pleasure 😉

🐍Cobra (worm) & 🐯Tiger (kitty)
It's dark, fucked up, emotional, and tragic. The writing is amazing, you can really put yourself into their mindset and immerse yourself in what they are going through.
These two characters are both so amazing, tough, caring, and tortured by their demons one from his past and the other from her inner turmoil.
This book had me so emotional. I was constantly tearing up, especially during Cobra's POVs.
Lots of back and forth between Cobra and Tiger.
Kind of a slow burn, they don't actually do it until 66% into book. But the lead up was hot.
Love Puma as a secondary character.
Can't wait to read Hurricane!

Tiger & Cobra are so intense I loved them! I was hooked from the first page. They are so comfortable with each other but there is also some serious fire between them.
I loved the dynamic between the siblings and they each had their own personality and parts to play. Although Leo is ruthless and has built this family of dangerous beasts I think he truly is a family man and I don’t think he will be as mad about Tiger and Cobra as they seem to think. If anyone can be with and protect her it would be Tiger. The story is really well plotted and I like where it’s going but I did always have a sneaky suspicion about Luke since he appeared.
I think it’s slightly weird none of the mothers around but it does make their family flow better, I just think it’s odd all 5 of them are dead/gone etc.
That ending...we all know it’s gonna come out now when Tiger tears the town down to save Cobra and I can’t wait for the blow out 🙈

why 1 star ?
i'll make it simple :
- the book end in a cliffhanger while i thought it was not , i " assumed " it was a standalone and the leads change between the other beasts .
-Both leads sleep with other people call me weird but i prefer when they don't do so . it was the big NO for me i would have read the next book if they both didn't sleep with others
- 60% of the book there is no progress in their relationship other then both of them hurting each other with sleeping with other p (the FL started it even thought it was in the name of protecting the ML but still i call bs i'm not a fan of this strategy )
- the FL was annoying all she did was saying no it's impossible for us to be together while the ML was trying to get them with each other , yes it was a hard place to be yes the ML did not have a big plan or a magical solution but at least he was there he was willing but the FL she had only the NO on her.
- they should seriously go get some therapy all of them the amount of the suicidal thoughts in here is .....

I can't breathe!!!!

Omg what an ending!!!! What a book!!!! I can't even comprehend what to write because I just want to dive into the next book but I'm forcing myself to review because Antidote was so friggin' good!
I'm quite into dark reads but admit that it's getting a bit repetitive lately UNTIL I read Antidote. It's so different to anything I've read! The Beast of Prey are awesome characters, dark and at times pretty damn disturbing but they each have their unique personalities and light side. I love Tiger and Cobra's relationship which is so beautifully twisted in the right ways! LC Lehesaho makes these characters so believable, Cobra's inner demons in particular.
I love this book and couldn't put it down, now to start the next because 😭😭😭😭 it broke me! I highly recommend for the fantastic writing, brilliant twists, hot hot HOT scenes and beautiful heartbreaks.

Forbiddingly Droning

The plot had so much potential! Five siblings born the same day; same father, Leo, different mothers who all seem to be dead themselves from offing themselves in various ways due to "the life" in which their children are brought up.

Book one focuses on Cobra, daughter to Leo, and Tiger, foster son to Leo. The push and pull of the attraction between them dragged on and on and on. I stopped at the 48% point and went to the last two chapters. Brought me up to speed quickly, ends with a twist from the past, a secret subterfuge, and a cliffhanger between the two mains.

I enjoyed Pumas sordid character the most. There was also enough details of the other Beasts of Prey siblings that I did enjoy. But the monotonous droning of of the "forbidden" feelings between Cobra and Tiger was boring af.

Good but something was missing..

The storyline sounded interesting. Except, the build up on the h relationship could have been developed more. This was more of a forbidden type of romance with mafia storyline. There really wasn't a main plot just another day as an enforcers doing their job with the push and pull of trying to fight their love. Maybe if the plot started with showing how the beast of prey came together and the h meeting the heroine then building up their relationship. Except the h was already in love right away so it became boring. I didn't care to read the repetitive day to day mafia job or the push n pull forbidden love story. Good writing but not enough depth in my opinion. Ended up skipping chapters.

I was sold by the prologue. "-On his 18th birthday, the boy bathed in his father's blood when he took over his city and became the new king of Shangri-La's underworld. At the same time, five different women gave birth to his youths.
The beasts of prey.-"

Absolutely cuckoo for Tiger's choke hold!! @lclehesaho for me, defiantly constructed an underworld I could easily visualise in a kaleidoscope of colours, hence the edit.

I really hope the edit embodies the aesthetic of the book, lemme know 🙈

I WANT a book on every sibling, but most of all DESIRE Leo's back story for sure. Purrrrrrr-lease don't keep me waiting, this girl needs her next fix of beasts of prey 😍

Antidote
Beasts of Prey Series

If you've ever dreamed of being an outlaw, of living on the dark side, this book is for you. Strong characters, badass chicks, a family closer than just blood. Reading Antidote took me to places I hadn't thought about in years. Siblings that fight for each other as much as they fight with each other. A family no one wants to mess with. A love that even the most screwed up mind can understand. Trigger warnings abound and an ending that leaves you breathless, but a roller coaster ride into a world without limits and laws. It's not a Hallmark story, but it's as raw and pure a love story as I've ever read.

I really enjoyed this book. the relationship between Cobra and Tiger is just everything! yes it may be slightly taboo but oh its so hot. you can actually feel the push and pull between characters and that they don't just love each over, they are best friends and that comes above any possible relationship.
I did feel the book was slightly repetitive in the whole nearly getting together, oh wait we can't aspect and it sort of glossed over the fighting parts. Saying that though, it was really nice to read more abut them before getting into the grit of "OMG, wtf just happened?!"
I really can't wait for the next book now and I know it is going to be even better.

Holy shit

Yall It's time to follow me to Shangri-la!!!! @authorlclehesaho is a new Author that I'm so glad I stumbled onto. The beast of Prey series just stole my heart, and then some. #darkromance warning I will tell you first hand because this world is NOT for the faint hearted. These first 3 books are about the love, push and pull battle of Cobra and Tiger Hayes. The story of these two are the epitome of true fucked up love. This world of the beast of prey in Shangri-la can't be put into one simple review. I advise you to stop what your doing, and pick these #twistedromance #fuckedup #bonechilling #books
I can't wait for Puma's book it will be #epic

I was given an ARC copy of LC Lehesaho's debut Antidote, Book 1 in the Beasts of Prey Series, and it sucked me in from the beginning. The first thing that grabbed my attention was the cover and I thought this book looks insane, I was not wrong. This book starts out like a fairytale would, but it is far from that. Without giving too much away, it is dark and taboo, Cobra and Tiger are 🔥, there are twists and turns, and then it ends on a cliffhanger. I cannot wait for the next book and the rest of the series. Also, I need books from the other characters, kay? Thanks!

I found a new author to follow. I stumbled across this book and im so glad I did,

An easy story to get hooked on, Leo a mobster has multiple children and is leading Shanghai.

All his kids are trained and follow through with all his dirty work.

I instantly like Cobra and rooting for her.
What will Leo do when One of his kids he took in from the streets is after his babygirl's heart??

There are some twists and drama in this and it keeps you guessing and wanting more.

I hope their is a second book coming to continue this story
