A modern abbreviation of the Kama Sutra, that makes sure to be more 'woke' than most others. So while the original was strictly heterosexual, the close-ups in the illustrations are full of ethnicities, the middle-aged, those with bright blue stubble, and people whose gender is not blatant. Now I've not read a full version of the Kama Sutra, so I don't know how adapted the text is, but there seemed quite a bit of modern sensitivity in the writing too – we're told to build a landscape for all the senses en route to anything fruity happening. But if any of my partners came at me with "wild music, such as pebbles to knock together, crisp twigs for snapping, or dry leaves to rustle and crunch" I'd be expecting to see them next in a straightjacket and not something suitably skimpy.

But then there has always, I guess, been something of the mindfulness manual about the book, gearing us through the art of wooing and being in the moment together, massage, and suchlike, before getting on to the acrobatics. The famed positions are presented very well here, text and illustrations aiding each other to get the point across. It's a bit daft to introduce each position and then give a generic quote or summarise some semi-relevant advice before getting down to it – but I suppose that's only foreplay. Some people will prefer the dryness of other adaptations, with non-anatomical cartoon illustrations and what have you, but this is the modern, relatively SFW version many will have craved.

I receive this book from Netgalley and the publisher for my honest review. I think that this book is great fir people entering their sexual journey as the positions were extremely basic. I did think that by not having real photos or overly explicit drawings (like the Karma Sutra) it does create more accessibility. As someone who has been sexually active for over two decades - I didn’t really learn anything from this book. I also would have liked it to be more inclusive in the art - depicting larger couples and same sex couples. Like I said not a horrible introduction book, the quotes were a nice touch and speaking on oral sex and basic how-to could be helpful to many people. If you are more experienced, sexually, this isn’t the book you are looking for.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me advanced access to this publication.

Great visual examples in this book, and I love how they describe different Kama Sutra motions to employ in lovemaking, as well as the spiritual aspects of each position. However, I find the information included to be rather basic (though I did pick up a book for beginners, so I cannot complain much). I wish there were more information and visuals regarding foreplay, and the pages regarding fellatio and cunnilingus were lacking in depth. Oral is a great thing for intimacy so I think there should have been more meat about that. I was also rather displeased that a large portion of the positions were girl-on-top, of which I've never really been a fan.

First I want to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this in exchange for my honest review.

Press Here was my first ever introduction to karma sutra and it really opened my eyes to how deep intimacy really is between partners. As someone in a relationship, it’s easy to forget the intimate needs and wants of the other person. Press Here introduced ways so that both partners feel not just a physical intimate connection, but also a spiritual and emotional one between each other. I’ve taken many things out of this and will be using them in my personal life and relationships.

Press Here! Kama Sutra for Beginners is a good educational book on all matters intimate and sexual.
It starts off with the very basics of flirting, hugging and kissing and it evolves from there with simple and clear explanations. The illustrations are also very diverse and colourful, which makes the book all the more nice to read.
I definitely recommend it both for beginners and more advanced readers.

I thought this book was fun. It took a very old Indian text and reworked it into simple to read language and fun illustrations. It was a quick read. It addressed adapting the text to the modern gender spectrum. I will say though that the logistical descriptions were not clear to imagine putting them to use. I think the illustrations could have been better expanded to help with logistical positioning and movements. Overall it was 3 stars and would have been more if the directions had been better illustrated and described.

Thank you Netgalley for letting me read this book in return for an honest review.

Rating: 4.5⭐

This is quite descriptive and well-illustrated so I enjoyed reading it. The book is quite diverse and I believe has quotes from the original text but has a modern twist on it. I will say, I haven't read the original Kama Sutra so I cannot fully compare but I still really enjoyed how informative this was.

Would I Read It Again? Yes
Would I Recommend it? Yes

This is a prefect book for those who have no idea what Kama Sutra. The book modern without the pictures but drawing that will give readers and their partners something fun to try. The story gives the readers a history of the Kama Sutra and the reason people use this as a way to spice up the bedroom but still with romance and love.

Thank you to Netgalley.

Now this was a very interesting book 😜 "Press Here! Kama Sutra for Beginners" by Michelle Pauli. This new addition was very informative and engaging adaptation of the Kama Sutra for Beginners especially as it included the same-sex and nonbinary couples. Which was great.

Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the arc of this book in return for my honest review

Oh yes, this was a fabulous one.

Very informative and an interesting read, a different take on most books about the Kama Sutra but with a modern twist, the book itself has a good layout and is a very good step by step way to explain through instructions but also twinned well with some wonderful illustrations.

A really fabulous explanation of how women can find pleasure but using a modern take on it, makes it much easier to apply.

With thanks to Netgalley, Publishers and the author, I really enjoyed this free ARC in return I have given an honest review, all opinions are my own.

Press Here! is a great beginners guide to the Kama Sutra. It's easy to digest with helpful instructions and sketches of the positions. If you're interested in the Kama Sutra but find the original work daunting this is a great modernized alternative.

Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I thought this book had lots of good information and instructions but I thought it would be more engaging if the pictures were real with real couples. It seemed to textbook like.
