Book Reviewed on www.whisperingstories.com

Little Amy wrote a last-minute letter to Santa, unfortunately, it landed in his fireplace whilst the fire was burning and some of the words were burnt off, the most important one being what she wanted for Christmas.

With just a few days to go until Christmas Eve Santa started to panic, he needed to work out what she wanted and so he asked his elves to help. The elves were all busy preparing the presents and only had one elf spare, would his idea be what Amy wanted? Santa didn’t agree and so he went on to ask other creatures who all had their own unique ideas, but would any of them be truly what Amy wanted for her Christmas Present?

Santa Post is an amazing book that is a lot of fun and has plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, especially at the ‘parcels’ that are within the book that you lift the flaps to open, I think the elf’s idea of what Amy wanted for her present was hilarious!

The book is adorned with full-page bright and colourful illustrations that add depth to the amusing plot. The text has been written as if it is handwritten and I love it as it gives the book a more personal feel to it.

Children not only get a fabulous story but they also get to interact with the book with the five Christmas Surprises to open. The book is not only joyful it is heart-warming too as it shows how much Santa cares about the children and the lengths he will go to for the perfect present.

This is a festive book that will bring a smile to a child’s face and a must-read for this time of year.

My review on www.bookread2day.wordpress.com

This book is for children, but adults like me will fall in love with SANTA POST, after all it’s a magical time of year!

SANTA POST is full of fun with humours letters.

Inside this book has the wonderful illustrations with big beautiful flaps to lift up and read with all shapes and sizes of different colours type of flaps.

With Santa not being able to read Amy’s Christmas wish, what did Santa give Amy for Christmas? Santa’s elves and all the reindeer’s play their special part within this gorgeous books. SANTA POST is the most exciting Christmas stocking filler, I jut know children are going to love this book. SANTA POST hardback book it one to treasure and keep.

What happens when Santa receives a last minute letter from a little girl? And what happens when parts are missing due to the fire it landed in?

I was so delighted that one of my libraries had a fun collection of Christmas books waiting. Often libraries put the books all away and only get out a few for Christmas season, but this library just keeps most if not all of them out for the whole year. So I could pick some even before it was Christmas~ Whoo! Plus, I was also excited because I just love Emma Yarlett’s books!

In this book it is almost Christmas but then Santa receives a letter in his fireplace! A last-minute letter! By a little girl named Amy who wants one thing.. but yeah, remember I said fireplace? It was lit. And so there are some scorch-marks. Including one right on that present she wants. Oh no! We see Santa try to figure things out and tries to enlist the help of friends. But is it really what Amy wants? Or is it what Santa’s friends want most? I did love going to all the different places on the North Pole. From seeing the busy elves working their butt off on presents (making and wrapping and testing) to the reindeers practising for their performance in just a few days. And I loved seeing everyone get sorta creative and try to think up a present. I think out of the peeps we saw I liked the bear the most, he really had a thoughtful gift. We don’t talk about the elf. Definitely not. I think he needs a chat with Santa. XD

I did love what happened on Christmas. Loved seeing what Santa did. What he eventually gave as a present. I mean, we don’t see it directly, however… we can do a good guess.

And then there is the last part of the book! I loved that letter! Loved seeing so much happiness! But also, OH NO, Santa, please be more careful with the letters. Hey, at least you have 365 days now? 😛

The art was just Christmas-tastic and oh so much fun! I loved the additions of the letters (that you could fold open) and all the details on every page. Like with the elves, be sure to find all the fun details!

All in all, a highly recommended book! This was just oodles of fun and I am so happy I found it over at the library in Dutch~!

Absolute Kaufempfehlung.

As a fan of novelty books with removable parts, Christmas stories, and Emma Yarlett, I was thrilled to find this book. Amy sends a letter to Santa but it's been singed and Santa can't read what Amy wants for Christmas. As it is Christmas Eve and he is tremendously busy, he seeks help finding the perfect gift for Amy; first, from an elf, then a polar bear, and finally a reindeer all provide what they think is the perfect gift. Unfortunately, Santa doesn't think any of them will do. Will Santa find the perfect gift before it's too late or is Amy doomed to disappointment? There are five lift-the-flap items in the book; two are the letters from Amy, and the other three hide the gifts chosen for her. The story is delightful and the resolution satisfying. This book is bound to be a hit with young readers/listeners one-on-one or during story times. Hopefully it will also help them empathize with Santa's dilemma and the challenge of finding just the right gift. Highly recommended.

A fun and uplifting story about Santa trying to find out exactly what a little girl wants (after her letter gets a little singed in the fireplace) and his helpers (elves, reindeer, polar bear) trying to make her the best present! It all works out in the end and leaves you with such a smile! I can highly recommend and think this will be one of our Christmas books for years to come!

A child writes a letter to Santa, but the important parts are impossible to read! Santa tries to get some friends to help, and ends up with the perfect surprise in the end. This story is cute, and full of holiday joy. My child loved laughing at the gifts the elves, reindeer, and polar bear came up with. The illustrations are cute and enhance the story.

Super interactive with flaps and different fun pages! Love how the letters look handwritten. Santa has received a letter from a little girl with a special request, except her request on her letter was burned off! Now Santa needs to figure out how to make her Christmas wish come true!

Libro divertido.

This is such a funny and clever story! A girl called Amy has written a letter to Santa, but when it arrives down his chimney the letter gets slightly burnt in the fireplace. Santa can read the letter but the part which shows what Amy wants for Christmas is missing, burnt, and Santa doesnt know what to do. Not quite sure what to get Amy for Christmas he asks the head elf if she knows what to make for Amy, but when the Santa is given Amy’s present, he wonders if that really what Amy wanted for Christmas?

This is such a brilliant book and so much fun with all the extra flaps and letters to open. ‘Santa Post’ is a wider but a bit shorter than an A4 sized paper and is a hardback filled with thick matt pages of colourful illustrations and some text. Certain pages have additional flaps to open which are made of a slightly thicker paper than the pages. The story is so fun! With Santa lost on what to get Amy for Christmas he decides to ask the elves to create a present for her, but then they come back with something that doesn’t seem quite right, so Santa asks someone else for help, but can they make Amy the perfect present or will their present be not quite right too? The situation and the presents the different characters come up with for Amy are so funny and I found myself laughing so much while reading this!

The illustrations really add to the humour and I just love how fun and detailed some pages are. There are so many things to see such as what all the different elves are doing, or the different expressions of the reindeer, and I just love the style of all the pictures looking so fun and childlike. The text throughout the book adds the the fun feel of the story too, looking as if it was written in pencil by a child. As well as an overall funny and brilliant story with a great ending, this book comes with these additional flaps on certain pages. I’ve always loved books with flaps to open and things to see underneath but I just love how this book’s flaps hide such funny gift ideas, and the letters to Santa look so great too especially the first one looking singed.

The ending of the story is so good with the last page making me laugh again at what happens with Santa. This really is such a gem of a book to share at Christmas. I already love the author’s previous books ‘Dragon Post’ and ‘Beast Feast’ but this one has possibly made me laugh even more than the others. I just love looking at it again and again and I’m sure lots of children will just love the fun story and the extra fun of opening the flaps too. A really great book I can recommend.

Note: 8/10

Santa Post is such a jolly, colourful and festive book. I loved the interactive elements of opening doors which is perfect for children. Like all the best festive tales, there’s calamity afoot at the North Pole in the run up to Christmas. I really loved this book included adult elements of humour too, like Santa burning his shirt. I didn’t expect this to be as humorous as it was to the point I was chuckling at numerous points.

I would say there were points where the font was slightly difficult to read with my eyesight problems, due to small font and really similar coloured fonts on similar coloured backing, which might be useful to know for someone else.

I had a few wee tears in my eyes and a big smile on my face by the book’s end. I love how the story has so much going on in roughly 28 pages - there’s a lot of teamwork, helpfulness and encouragement of creativity.

I think this could be developed into a great Christmas film or Christmas short in the right hands. A new festive tradition of a yearly read has been found here! Must have for children at Christmas!

Thank you kindly to Tandem Collective UK and WalkerBooks for providing me with a copy of this book as part of the children’s books readalong on social media 🎅🏼

There’s something about Christmas books which makes them difficult not to love. I feel the same way about pop-up or lift-the-flap books most of the time too. But this book is a combination of both, which surely makes it a winner right? Right.

Amy writes a letter to Santa four days before Christmas. The letter arrives down Santa’s chimney charred, obscuring the one present Amy has asked for. Santa then begins writing to all of his most valued workers - the head elf, head reindeer and even his favourite polar bear - who all send presents they think will be suitable. But Santa isn’t convinced by any of them and instead comes up with a plan!

The lift-the-flaps conceal the mystery presents and letters, which is a wonderful idea, but the story itself is just so fun and heart-felt.

A wonderful book filled with the spirit of the holidays, and a sprinkle of fun too!

This picture book is all about the letters that Santa receives from children all over the world. This year Amy has sent him a letter, but it has been damaged on its way down the chimney. Santa can’t work out what she wants as her gift and has to ask some of his friends at the North Pole to find Amy the perfect present before Christmas Eve.

This is a funny picture book with bright illustrations, a good story and interactive features. Young readers will love opening the letters and parcels. A brilliant story for this time of year!

This story has a great problem to solve on the opening page - I like the insight into how everyone goes about the act of giving, I love the antics from all of Santa's helpful friends. The fold out letters add fun and the opportunity to play different roles. Most enjoyable!
