How can a soldier shifter convince his long-lost mate that they belong together when he has no memory of their life together?
The Second-Chance Mate On the coast of Portugal, I lived a charmed life, with a loving clan, and the perfect mate. Nothing could stop our happiness. Until a malevolent wizard arrived and attacked our clan. He murdered everyone with dark magic, including my brave mate, who died defending us. Now I am a dragon without a home. Alone in the world, I escaped my country. I fled to America, and I settled in Las Vegas, a place far different from my seaside home. In Sin City, I joined a motorcycle club and rode a fancy bike. For five years, I was hollow and empty, pretending to be human. Then I felt the presence of a shifter. But I could not let my guard down. I would not be attacked again, so I ran away. But before I make it on the plane, the handsome shifter catches me. It’s my mate. He survived the attack. But he’s not the same male he was before. And I'm not the same either. With the forces trying to keep us apart, can we ever find our way back to each other?
The Soldier Shifter I woke up with no memory. I knew only my name, and my native language. To stave off the loneliness, I joined a foreign military. I served a country to which I did not belong. Among human men, I knew something was different about me. I was faster, stronger; I was invincible. But I was restless and alone. Then an Irish witch arrived in Macedonia and told me the truth—I was a dragon. A dragon shifter who had lost everything. I spent weeks trying to regain my memories, to no avail, until I found out there is a shifter in an unlikely palace—Las Vegas. I travel to America, searching for any surviving clan member. In Nevada, I feel the presence of a shifter—a shifter that draws me in. But the shifter runs from me. I chase her to the airport. When I see her face, deep in my soul, I know the truth. I don’t have my memories, but my dragon knows her—this beautiful female is my mate. We belong together. But fate wants to keep us apart.
Can a dragon shifter with no memory have a second chance at love with his mate?

We meet Davi in the previous book. He is a dragon with no memories of who or what he is. He finally gets his own book and memories. While he is in the City of Sin he meets Carolina. She watched her mate die and retreats to Las Vegas. She is the key to getting his memories back. This is a heartbreaking story with twists and turns.
Overall this was a decent story. Davi and Carolina’s story is at the heart, a second chance romance. Five years. Davi has lived a solitary life. Serving in the Macedonian military, he’s done his duty, protected his brothers and survived. Knowing all along that he was different. But having no memories of his life before waking up in a foreign country five years ago. Carolina watched her entire dragon clan destroyed by a wizard and someone she considered her own family. Now five years later she has isolated herself in the Nevada desert. Even surrounded by humans, she is alone. Until she feels the presence of another shifter near her. She runs. When he finally catches up to her, she’s stunned to see her mate, Davi. Her mate that was supposed to have died along with the others. But he’s not the same young man she fell in love with. And unbeknownst to her, he doesn’t remember their early life together. I really liked Davi. He’s come a long way from where he was when Niall and Nora (Professor Dragon’s Virgin) first found him. He’s adapted well, and is actively searching for other dragons. He’s loyal to his new shifter friends, and they’ve accepted him as part of their clan. Carolina I struggled with. I understand that the trauma she went through and being betrayed by family will make you leery of strangers. Especially witches and Fae. But she took it to the extreme. Extremely paranoid about everyone and everything. It was way over the top. She does get better toward the end of the book. I had issues with a few things. The whole Motorcycle Club thing. I’m not sure what she used as a reference, but I’ve never read about, or heard about, a serious MC allowing a female to become an active member. She rides her own bike and even settles disputes between the men. And I have never heard a member describe himself as a “Motorcycle Rider”. It felt ridiculous. The other thing, like with every other book in this series is editing. Please, someone get word to this author that something other than spellcheck needs to be used. There are missing words, wrong words used, spaces where words should be, wrong names being used. I overlooked it in the earlier books, but it seems to be becoming a habit. Davi and Carolina do have a lot to overcome, and even with a few bumps along the way, they do end up happy in the end. Even with the editing issues, I do really like these dragons, and will read the next one.
I enjoyed this book but the editing issues don’t seem to stop. I usually don’t notice editing issues or can easily ignore them but I started to get a bit frustrated with the errors. I thought Davi and Carolina were great together, and I’m glad that they got their second chance at being together. For the last 5 years Davi has had no memories of what he is or where he came from. He’s been serving in the Macedonian military. It isn’t until two strangers, Niall and Nora found him randomly and told him what he is and Nora being a powerful witch tried to help restore Davi’s memories. Since then Davi has been getting snippets of memories from his life prior to 5 years ago.
Carolina watched her entire dragon clan, including her mate Davi be destroyed by a wizard and someone she considered her own family. After losing so much, she’s isolated herself in the Nevada desert, brought a bar and joined a Motorcycle club, even though she’s surrounded by humans she keeps herself seperate from them. She feels the presence of another shifter, that isn’t Garrett near her. So she decides to run. She’s completely shocked when he catches up to her and it’s her mate Davi, who she thought was dead after he saved her by taking out the wizard who wanted to destroy their clan.
Davi has changed in the last 5 years but so has Carolina. She has no idea that Davi has no memories of her or their life together, but his soul knows that she’s his. How will Carolina react when she finds out that Davi has lost his memories and that he now considers other dragon shifters, their human, fae and witch mates, as well as their hatchlings part of his family? I’m looking forward to reading Garrett’s book next and finding out how he deals with having a mate, as he seems to be happy with bachelor lifestyle. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
A great addition to the series and ever growing family of our favorite Texas Dragons we know and love. Was very excited to see Davi finally get his own story and his memories back even through his own trials and tribulations. Looking forward to more hopefully with the discovery of other dragon(s) clans popping up now. In all honesty don't try and read out of order. Every book flows into the other in my opinion. But any who.... the characters are strong even with one the mains having some memory loss. The plot and unexpected turn of events was good too. Davi knows that his next stop is the city of sin. But what could possibly be waiting for him in a place like that, when he had no ties whatsoever to the states? His only hope if to take a look at the smokey, stinky city and see what he can find. Carolina is not having it anymore. She really does love her life now. Her bar slash club house for her extended family of motorcycle riders. But she fears that she may be on the run again soon if something doesn't change soon. She needs to stay ahead of any supernatural being or shifter. For fear of being discovered. She misses Ireland and the clan she grew up in. If only they didn't allow that fae into their clan and hearts like they did. Maybe just maybe things would of turned out differently than they are now.
In the final book of the series, Davi is intent on getting his memories returned. He has put an end to his military career after five years. Brynne detected two other dragons’ in Vegas and he is intent on finding them. He meets the first one Garret and they become fast friends. Now, he searches for the female. Carolina owns a motorcycle bar and runs with an MC. It is time for her to leave for she is pursued by another dragon…it could be someone from her aunt~ Her aunt and a wizard killed her clan and mate years ago. She is still running from it~ She sees the male dragon…and it cannot be…can it? Find out what happens when these two dragons meet~ I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
We were introduced to Davi in the last story of theIrish dragons. He was found in Macedonia with no memory of what he was or where he came from five years prior to the time that Nora and Niall found him while they were on their honeymoon. He has been invited to America to visit the Texas Dragons. While he is visiting his new friends, he is told that there are dragons in Las Vegas. He begins his search for dragons who might know about his past. While he is in Las Vegas he discovers his mate Carolina. She was under the impression that she was the only one left from her clan. Read this fantastic story to learn of tragedies and a second chance at happiness.
I was given advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.
Once again we are with the lost dragons and this time we get Davi's story You may remember him from a previous book he was the dragon found in Macedonia who had no memory of who or what he was Now he has arrived to visit the dragons in Texas and when they tell him there are more dragons in Las Vegas he decides to go investigate after all he may find someone who can help him get his memories back What he didn't expect was to fine his mate Carolina has always believed she was the only one of her clan to survive she saw he brave mate fall as he tried to protect her and the clan so how can he possible be here in Las Vegas can they rebuild what they lost will Davi get his memories back you will have to read to see
Who is Carolina Ramirez? What does she do for a living? Oh goodness, we get to meet Lioslaith and hear more about Henri-Augustin in this story! I have thoughts and questions floating around in my head about him and hope there is at least one more book coming that could answer those questions! There were a number of unexpected things that happened and definitely showed the truth of family, whether they are blood-related or not. Read and see what I mean!
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin' With M. Brennan.
This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Soldier Dragon's Second Chance by Brittany White is the sixth book in the Irish Dragon Shifter Brothers series. I really am enjoying this series! I love that the series is written so each book has some elements that tie to the series, but they can basically be read as stand alone. Davi and Carolina's story is steamy and intense (Mature Readers Only Please). He's looking for his memories and she is running from her past. A strong cast of characters and a mixture of drama, angst, love and danger makes this read a yummy anytime escape.
This honest and voluntary review was made possible by reading a copy through Bookfunnel.
I enjoyed this book and was happy that Davi got his story. however, once again the author missed an opportunity to expand on the conflict between the bad witch Lioslaith and himself and his mate. it was skimmed over so lightly as to really be insignificant in the plot and could have made for some excitement. Otherwise the plot was good, the characters were well described and well rounded with plenty of detail throughout the story line. The issues between Davi and Carolina did go on a bit too long also so it caused the story to drag just a little bit. still a great story and series to read however.
I received an arc copy of this story and this is my honest review.
In my last review I thought it was the last book and I was way too excited to find out I had quite a few more! I love this series and my goal is by next weekend I'm finishing up the series or am already done. Although I'll be sad that it's over I'll be so happy to have had the chance to read these books and visit their world in my mind. Big thanks to the author, I've tried to sit down and write a book like this and it isn't easy lol. So I'd like you to know how much you inspire me and how amazing your work is from a book worm and fan's point lol. Keep up the awesome work you have a forever fan in me!!!
The first 5 books in this series were great, even with then spelling and grammar mistakes. With this book though there were inconsistencies in the story. First Davi doesn’t know what he is then later in the book he talks about how it was hard to hide what he was. There were a few other inconsistencies as well but I don’t want to give any thing away. I would say this is a 2 1/2 star book. I will read book 7 but if it is slow like this one with inconsistencies and grammar issues it might be the last one in this series I read. I was disappointed since the first 5 I couldn’t pit down till I finished them.
If you have not read paranormal romance by Brittany White, you are sorely missing out. I love everything she writes and this series is no different. Soldier Dragon's Second chance is about a dragon shifter that can't remember anything. Then he meets a beautiful woman that gives him everything and more. If you have not started with book one in this series, I suggest you do. After all, why just get a taste of your favorite dessert when you can have a full serving. Remember if you want to read a book you can't put down, you have to pick it up first.
This book had you on a roller coaster ride with so many emotions about a tragedy that had torn two apart with the death of there Clan by an evil wizard and a fae but unbeknown to each they survived. No 5 yrs later fate stepped in and brought them back together but one has no memory and one remembers everything that happened that day when she believed she lost her mate forever. Carolina and Davi story was amazing and with other Clan members from Texas being involved made this book a must read. But to understand everyone’s place I recommend reading the whole series it’s definitely worth it.
Davi lost his memories in an attack that devastated his entire clan, except him and his mate Carolina. Carolina thinks Davi was lost in the attack. When they reconnect can Carolina help Davi remember their shared past? Can she get beyond her anger at the people involved in the attack and understand that not witch and fae is evil? I love how this book walks us through Davi trying to get at least a few of his memories back both before finding Carolina again and after, as well as his acceptance that he might never remember.
Book six in the Irish Dragon Shifter Brother's brings Davi and Carolina's story. The author once again brings strong characters and weaves a heartbreaking story. I loved the story line with all the twists and turns ,drama and action as well as the new found romance. The scenes are painted vividly and the story moves fluidly. I loved this book/series and would recommend reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
This is not your typical second chance at love story. Davi and Carolina have endured many hardships just like the rest of the bunch. But Davi has an added complication in he suffers from amnesia from when his clan was killed. Carolina has created a new life but is untrusting of everyone. It's fated destiny when they meet again although they still have a few road blocks to their HEA.
Would be a higher rating but editing is a real problem. Wrong words, timelines messed up within the storyline, & other editing errors are very distracting within what is a potentially great storyline. I also didn’t like, or think appropriate, Carolina’s response to Davi having lost his memory...very juvenile & really didn’t fit in with the whole “I thought you were dead & I’m so happy to have found you,” storyline. Still a good series but OMG...fix the editing!
Awesome. A chance encounter in another country and a different dragon clan was found that had been also destroyed but only five years before. Living with no memory of your previous twenty years of life, must be very hard. This story brings mates back together that had knew each other until five years previously. The story of how they found each other again.
Another great book Soldiers dragons second chance from the Irish dragon shifter brothers series. Two dragon shifters lives were torn apart years ago with Davi not remembering who he is and where he came from. He met a couple who had helped regain his memories: meeting his lost mate and returning home helped him. Some parts are very intimate, roller coaster moments of emotions and memories may trigger some readers who may have similar thoughts.
I truly enjoyed this latest installment of the Irish Dragon Shifter Brothers. Bringing in the soldier that Niall & Nora met while traveling was really great. Getting to know this new dragon and his story was really terrific. Loved that he got closure for his lost years. Hoping there is another book soon.
So glad that everything worked out for Davi, there were moments of doubt but it was sorted out.
The world of the dragons is getting bigger and other characters are being introduced which makes me wonder what would their stories be. This was an enjoyable read and it maintained that feeling the Texan dragons are establishing, dragons connecting with the other dragons.
This is such an incredible and interesting series!
Davi and Carolina is a truly beautiful story. I laughed and cried for these awesome soulmates that found each other again after five years with the help of Nora and Niall and the Texas Dragons. I hope there are more books in this series.
I enjoyed reading this book along with the rest from this series! I especially liked the chemistry between Davi and Caroline, even tho she ran from him, not knowing it was him she was running from. Lol. You can tell these two will have a long happy life together! I definitely recommend this book to everyone who reads it! I'm sure you will enjoy it!
Two love and lives torn about, Davi knows his memories are missing nothing past 5 yrs ago. Carolina knows her whole clan is gone and she has to stay hidden from other shifters. Read their fast paced story of finding ones past and both futures. Truly enjoyed the story will be looking for the other connected to it.
Soldier Dragon’s Second Chance (Irish Dragon Shifter Brothers Book 6) by Brittany White. Dragon shifters Carolina and Davi were childhood friends and mates until their clan was attacked and Davi was killed. 5 years later Davi is found by Niall and Nora and some of his memories are restored. Enough that Davi finds Carolina his mate.
Davi had lost his memory of his early years when he woke up in Austria then he ended up serving in the Army for five years. Then he worked on the border crossing. When he met Nora and Niall he got away from them but they quickly found him and told him about the other shifters. In Vegas he found his mate again. This is a great story.
I loved reading about Davi and Carolina - they were just amazing characters and I am so glad I was able to go on their journey. I would love to read more about them and their future.
I received a free copy of this story in exchange for an honest review
Family.... So many emotions. Twists and turns, surprises and heartbreak, gripping you til the very end. Cant wait for the next book to keep us connected with this family.
So far, I'm following the series and really enjoying each story. Interesting, intriguing - some incredibly tense moments and some really tender moments. Enjoyed each story immensely! Thank you for your time, talent and the story!
