While meeting various members of SPORES, Cord bumps into the father of his ex girlfriend. Curious to see what trouble they might stir up

Cord, Macey and their ghosts are back for another mystery that needs solving. Of course they get their man but the ending made me laugh as it was a great setup for the next book. The story itself was clean and funny as Cord tries to solve the murder and Macey learns what its like to have more guests at the Inn. Although the group that shows up was a riot themselves. So just outright entertaining and not too deep.

Quick unique

I actually enjoyed this book which I wasn't really sure about. The characters accept ghost a little too quickly and the supernatural but other than that it as well-written with interesting twist.

The story continues. With the same main characters and their ghostly side kicks. With some new paranormal and 'normal' characters. And another murder.
Part 1 in this series felt a bit weird. But I guess I got used to this other normal in which ghosts, vampires and werewolves are around.
Enjoyable series!

Cord was invited to help out with a strange fire, where a badly burnt body was found. The fire certainly looked like it was deliberately started and on close inspection, forensics found elongated canines, more like fangs as well as scratches on the chin that were bone deep. Almost certainly a vampire, and possibly attacked by a werewolf, but this cannot be made public, especially when a whole group of eager young students from the University of Texas Paranormal Studies staying at Deep Waters Inn were determined to prove the existence of ghosts and the like.

I enjoyed Book 1 tremendously and this is even better. Short-ish read but oh, so much fun! I love the ghosts and of course Cord and Macey are great together, what a great team. Can hardly wait for more!

I am loving these two ghosts! It’s funny how they are only seen by one certain person each. The whole paranormal side of it was interesting. Especially when the ghosts weren’t picked up during an investigation. The main characters were fun and the mystery was good. I just wish there was an explanation of why?.
