Red and yellow and pink and... CHOMP! Uh-oh! Nibbles the book monster has munched his way into a book of colors! Can you catch him before it’s too late?
Emma Yarlett graduated with honors in illustration from University College Falmouth in 2011. Her other work includes a nonfiction book by Julia Donaldson and animation for the Waterstones Children’s Book Award.
I love Nibbles! As with every Nibbles story, I’m simultaneously rooting for him and hoping to stop him from causing chaos, but Yarlett does a SUPERB job blending humor and rhyme in this new board book format. When I saw that Nibbles had a batch of board books, I instantly bought them for the Littles in my life. The rhyming is delectable and sweet. I love Nibbles’ chaotic creativity of chomping through each color page until he makes a rainbow. Also, the production team should get gold stars for all the die cuts. AHMAZING job!
Ce livre est tout simplement adorable. Glouton se nourrit des couleurs de plus en plus au courant de la lecture. Une merveilleuse lecture pour les jeunes enfants.
Nibbles! So I’ve started reading/leaving the same book out for days at a time now to learn more from familiarity instead of switching it up because we have so many books. This was a really fun one. Good rhymes, bold colors/images, little holes in pages to poke at. My baby and I loved it.
Nibbles is such a silly, ravenous monster! I didn’t know that you could eat colors! I couldn’t believe that the book was being chewed up by Nibbles! I wanted to chew on the pages too, just to see if I had a favorite tasting color too. Hehe.
This board book is really cute, with vivid text and colorful illustrations. I love the cut-out elements, which give finger-holds for little hands and make a rainbow at the end of the book.
This is one of my 18 month old kid’s absolute favorite books, especially when her dad does a dramatic reading of it. It’s also one of his favorites to read to her.
