A well-written analysis of the Second Amendment.

An excellent history of self defense and arms reaching back thousands of years and up to present day. If you’re unsure about what’s right and wrong in regard to today’s conversations of the constitution and specifically the 2nd amendment or the “right to bear arms”, look no further than this book right here.

Additionally, this book covers firearm safety, recommends reputable and reliable equipment to be purchased, and explains how you can defend your rights as an American.

My biggest gripe with this book is the title, Second Amendment Manifesto comes off wrong to me, and could possibly turn off unsure readers.

In total, this book is a 10/10

I’m a gun owner that tends to lean left of center, a seemingly rare position to be in. In a quest to learn more about the history of firearms ownership in America and the second amendment, I was led to this stellar book that gave me everything I was looking for…historial, objective analysis of why our founding fathers wrote the 2A into our Constitution, and why it remains an important right today. I think this is a fantastic book for anyone, no matter where you fall on the issue. I found it incredibly interesting, easy to read, and well-researched. The “buyers guide” in the last quarter of the book was a bit much, but some may find it useful.

Great, digestible, and full of interesting facts from history. This is the perfect primer to give a foundation of knowledge to those looking to understand how guns fit into their liberty. This is not just a gun book, rather it's a second amendment book, there is a difference and people ought to know about this difference. This would make a great gift for the hunter, airsofter, historian, American and more.

Excellent read on the history and your rights

Everyone should read this book, regardless of how one feels about guns. It is rich with history explaining the how and why, and it's also rich with information regarding gun types, ammo, and safety. I've already recommended this book to all my friends and family, and I will be keeping it for future reference as well.

Great read

An extremely well written book, with fascinating history on the 2nd amendment. I enjoyed it so much I'm going to read it again for anything I might have missed and to fix some of the history and quotes in my mind. Thank you for this amazing manifesto!

Amazing

The author gives the history of the second amendment and how it came to be. He easily refutes the Gun Control propaganda that the 2nd Amendment only applies to Militias. Every American should read this.

A very good book on the second amendment with a surprising amount of historical analysis. This was a history book as much as one defending the second amendment. I recommend this highly.

I've never wanted to own a gun more than I do after reading this book! All that aside, I found this book to be deeply empowering and informative for the first 9 chapters. However, chapters 10-12 were completely unhinged. From saying you need to get in shape so people will be more receptive to what you have to say about the second amendment to feeling bullied about speaking up for gun rights. But the glossary was very helpful, so it ends on a good note! Solid 3.5 stars for the first 2/3 of the book!

Excellent book on the real origins of the Second Amendment and what the Founders wanted it to mean. Also good read on how the Founders wanted it to be interpreted. Well worth buying and reading.
