Rate this book
Meet the Slade Brothers. Brooding. Protective AF. Rich and drop-dead delicious.

If you love small-town love stories full of alpha men who will stop at nothing to claim the women they love then grab this complete best-selling Slade Brothers Series in one steamy collection.

Books Included in this volume:

Book #1: Billionaire's Unexpected Bride

I don’t break rules. EVER.
1. NEVER mix business with pleasure.
2. DON’T put my job in jeopardy.
3. Absolutely do NOT fall in love with a client.

Guess I should say . . . I didn’t break them, until I met my new billionaire client, Drake Slade.
Arrogant, rude, hated by everyone in town, and 100% NOT my type.

Don’t worry, I have a plan. Sort of.

He’s just a little distraction to make my time here pass. After I get the town to love him, I can move back to LA.
Now I just need to convince my heart . . .
*-*

Book #2: Off Limits Daddy

The day my wife died - leaving me a single father - I thought the sun would never rise again.
Until Brennan showed up to be my little girl’s nanny.

First things first: I don’t need a stranger to help me raise my baby girl, let alone a fresh-faced young woman who still looks like a teenager.
Second, this town already hates me, so the last thing I need is to get tongues wagging.
But hell if she isn’t a walking, talking temptation.

I knew I shouldn’t.
But I did anyway.
I claimed her. Made her MINE.
Knowing full well I’m not her happily ever after.

She deserves more than this dead-end town.
And my baggage.
She deserves for me to let her go . . .
*-*

Book #3: Baby Secret

I’m just going to say it: happily ever after is BS.
The only side of love I’ve seen is selfish and toxic.
Until I met Clay . . .
I wasn’t supposed to fall in love with him, and I sure as hell wasn’t supposed to end up pregnant with his baby.

I told myself I moved to Colorado for a fresh start - but the truth is - I was running from my past.

Let me be clear: I’m not a damsel in distress - I didn’t need saving.
My only priority was keeping my five-year-old son safe.

For once in my life, I feel the kind of love that songs are written about - the kind that keeps you up all night with giddiness.
But can it survive the secret I’m carrying?
Or is my past about to rear its ugly head and destroy everything?
*-*

Book #4: Loves Me NOT

I once read that you only get one true love in a lifetime . . .
and mine was Wyatt Slade.
Fierce, wild, reckless - that boy was my everything.
Until he shattered my heart.

He was my first.
The day he slipped that promise ring on my finger, I gave him all of me - there was no going back.
So when I saw him kiss my best friend, I knew I had to get the hell out.

A decade spent running from my heart, and here I am back in his arms, ready to embrace a new future, and let our past go.

I swore I’d never trust him again.
He swore he’d never hurt me again.
Never say never . . .
*-*

Book #5: Best Friend's Sister

The first time I hooked up with my best friend’s sister - it was an accident.
The second time - I was just asking to be castrated.
The third time . . .
He walked in on us.

I close my eyes and the only thing I see is her.
I can hear my name tumbling from her full, parted lips.
I smell her on my pillow - and on my sheets.
I feel her warmth.
I can still taste her.

I’m fighting an endless battle, one I know I’m destined to lose.

Truthfully, I don’t know what she deserves but it isn’t me.
I don’t have a clue where my life is going or where I’ll end up.
She wants forever.
I can’t even promise tomorrow.

Fun, instalove stories full of sexy heroes and strong heroines

I first read Claiming Her Forever and decided to read up on the sexy Slade Brothers.

What you are in store for is possessive, single-minded heroes who will stop at nothing once they realize they have a love of their life in the hearts and bed.

Some stories I enjoyed more so than others. Tropes most will love ranging from second chance, secret baby, etc. Out of all - it was Colton’s story as it added more mystery to the mix.

But if you are looking for sexy, alpha heroes, this box set is a great binge.

Recommendation: Read it

Alexis Winter is another author who pushes the age canyon (not gap) old man/young girl pervy theme and mean girl writes disrespectful, demeaning storylines that pit women against one another, where one woman is the winner of used penis and all the other women who’ve had it are somehow losers. Absolute sexist garbage!

Proofreading will do wonders

Wonderful series! My only problem was with the wrong word being used! For example:
Rhyme instead of rhythm - when making love, he's moving in a rhythm, not a rhyme.
You go to the diner to have dinner, not the dinner to have dinner.
Every book, when they took off their clothes, they were thrown into the floor and not onto the floor!
There are too many to list them all, but like I said, everything is spelled correctly, you just have to put the correct word in.

Box set that has it all!

Wow! Great set of 5 books that have a little bit of everything. Grumpy recluse meets young city girl. Widowed dad and his hot, young nanny. Formerly abused, single mom opens a B & B and needs the hot contractor to fix her up. High school sweethearts find their way back to each other. Rule following, army guy accidentally falls for his best friend's sister. Something for everyone with plenty of small town drama to keep you on your toes. Plenty of steam, and such swoony alpha males...yummy. Love the family dynamic...I want to be a Slade. Great books, great series!

Totally Awesome

Loved every story, each one had their own specialty and uniqueness . So detailed you can envision the words come alive. So many emotions and so funny I could not stop laughing at times. 5 Gorgeous Brothes all close and truly love each other, family being so important. Falling in love with beautiful women for who they were how they made them feel. True Gentlemen. Thank you Alexis for writing such amazing stories. Awesome series. Look forward to the next group that visits this town and fall in love. ❤

Thank you for making this a Box Set!

I read Hudson & Deven's story a while back - kept saying I'd get to the others. Then, this box set came out.
These are great love stories. They ARE standalone stories but can make for an awesome binge read. Drake & Celeste, Colton & Brennan, Clay & Autumn, Wyatt & Destiny (I wanted to bop him on the head A FEW times!) and Hudson & Deven!
Thank you for your time, talent and the stories!

Disappointing

I made it through the 1st two. Barely. The stories are great, but the constant typos and errors were just too much. I’m not reading more of this box set until there has been some serious editing.

“Billionaire’s Unexpected Bride – 5*s – Book 1

Re: Unexpected Bride – Full of Unexpected Surprises too!

Celeste is a force to be reckoned with. She's a successful lawyer in Los Angeles & has been sent to a small town in Colorado. She meets Drake who has retained the firm's services. His heart's broken from a past love. Even though Celeste is supposed to work with him to get his neighbors to agree to let him expand his brewery, she wastes no time to shake him up by changing his drunken days/nights & to move forward into the light of happiness once again. Their fringe benefits & with no strings attached, turns out to be so much more. With the ending date 5 months away, Drake is on his way to expanding his business. Celeste's job is completed & is sent back to LA. Absence & distance makes the heart grow fonder. Big decisions need to be made on if they can have the HEA & will the big city girl be able to live in a small town or will he leave the family business & move to LA to be with Celeste?

I loved the story! It is so moving, so emotional & their chemistry is at the combustion level.

“Off Limits Daddy – 5* - Book 2

Re: Truly All Yours

Even though there's an age difference between these two characters, they are truly meant to be together. A love like theirs blossoms into a deep true love most people strive to want to have in their own lives. This novel is so touching, Brennan has her innocent way in wiggling her presence into Colton & Milly's lives & hearts. A very realistic view of her parents' reaction, an ex who doesn't know what the word "no" means and Brennan who worries about other people's feelings - her parents especially. Brennan is like a rose, growing in loving conditions, blooming into the perfect young woman Colton knew she always was & will be forever.

I would give this novel a 5+ stars rating. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this beautiful romance novel.

“Baby Secret” – 5* - Book 3

Re: Another Slade Brother Gets Bitten by the Love Bug!

Autumn is in an abusive marriage & escapes with their 5-yr son. She bought an old house & wants to renovate it into an B&B. Clay Slade is hired by Autumn to work on the house. As she's still married, she doesn't want to get involved with anyone, bringing any people into her problems. She tries to keep Clay at arm's length, at a professional working relationship but with Autumn working side-by-side with Clay in closer quarters, their bond & connection towards each other is getting stronger. Her abusive husband has found her & vows to get both his son & her back home. The suspense with how things develop, snowballs & intensifies right from the first page. For me, this has been the best novel I've read by Alexis Winter. The 1st two of this series, are really good too! This novel involves the Slade family members & Autumn gets the warm feelings of what 'family' is really all about. Excellent story-line & characters!

“Loves Me Not” – 5* - Book 4

Re: Second Chance at Love

High school sweethearts, Wyatt & Destiny have the instant attraction for each other & are destined to have their HEA. When Wyatt is caught in a mistaken identity incident, their world crashes & both leave their small town. Years later, they return home & they face their past, clearing up on what really happened back then. Wyatt continues to woo Destiny, trying to recapture their love together. Even with past classmates trying to destroy their strong bond, these 2 young loves are soulmates & will not waste another day apart. Having the flashbacks has helped clarify in understanding more of their current thoughts & actions of Wyatt & Destiny. A lot of deep emotions in this novel which Alexis Winter has captured quite well.

I'm looking forward to reading the next novel, especially finding out more about this mysterious new sibling who wants a piece of the Slade fortune.

“Best Friend’s Sister – 5* - Box 5

Re: Big Secret Becomes Reality

An excellent novel to read about another Slade Brother discovering what happiness he's been missing in his life & that his future will be blesses tenfold. Deven remembers Hudson when she was much younger & misrepresents herself initially. When Hudson finds out the truth, the "hands off" rule is enforced, albeit rather flimsy as this little vixen is always teasing him & as a true man, he can't stop what his body & mind want. These two are wonderful characters who truly deserve a HEA & with Deven embraced into the Slade family, it just leaves you warm & fuzzy all over. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book & following the Slade brothers & the women who catch their eyes!

Finding Forever Loves -

Baby Secret (Slade Brothers Book 3)

Their Love Destined For Keeps -
This book has had me mesmerised from the beginning and I just couldn’t put it down once I started. The combination of the slow burn love, friendships, family support, scorching sexual encounters and drama, makes this arresting storyline one unmissable treat.

I received an ARC of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Loves Me NOT: A Small Town, Second-Chance Romance (Slade Brothers Book 4)

A Love Written In The Stars -
I really loved this book. It was fun, sexy, engaging, entertaining, with witty banter, misunderstandings and a wonderful love story. Once I started reading the story, it was hard to put it down. I could not wait to see what the next page held. The plot line was quite delightful and I found myself rooting for Wyatt and Destiny to get their happily ever after. This is a well written story, with a captivating storyline and interesting characters. I highly recommend this book and I know you won't be disappointed.

I received an ARC of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Best Friend's Sister: A Small-Town Forbidden Romance (Slade Brothers Book 5)

Making Two Half Lives Whole -
The first time Hudson and Deven met, the sparks that flew between them was hot and they had this hunger inside that needed to be satisfied. Little did they realise the story had only just begun. The bro-code gauntlet was laid down, but before long, lines were blurred and boundaries were crossed, as they were unable to keep their hands off each other, which meant their lives were changed in ways they could have never imagined.

The story definitely packed some serious heat, with an intriguing plot, that kept me excited and on the edge of my seat with anticipation and trepidation, from the very beginning to the thrilling end. I will definitely recommend you read the entire Slade Brothers series, as once you read one book, you will be hooked and want to read the rest of the books in the series.

I received an ARC of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

I have read three of the five books in the boxset individually, as part of the ARC team and you will truly enjoy reading each book in this boxset.

Romance trope: contemporary
Series: The Slade Brothers
Length: 881 pages

Included in the collection are:

Billionaire's Unexpected Bride: Drake and Celeste - Celeste is a big-city lawyer who wants to take care of Drake's accounts and go back to her high-powered law firm with a win in her pocket. She doesn't expect to fall in love. Drake doesn't really want Celeste there - he's anti-social, grumpy, and a total pain. But he can't help but be drawn to Celeste. What happens when it's time for her to go back to the city?
I did not like that the hero kinda made out with his ex-fiance (it's the whole "I was shocked into paralysis""/I just needed to know that it was over" gambit. Also the hero was a drunk. There is a mystery that was not resolved, but if you're reading the whole collection, it doesn't matter because the rest of the books in the series finish that storyline.

Off Limits Daddy: Colton and Brennan - Colton is still mourning the loss of his wife. He needs a nanny for his daughter Milly and he reluctantly hires Brennan. She's young - looks like a teenager - and makes him feel things he hasn't felt since his wife died. But everyone has an opinion about their relationship especially Brennan's dad and her ex, who has conveniently come to town to win her back and cozy up to her family. Can she convince everyone - including Colton - that they're meant to be together?
Brennan's dad (and mom, to be honest) were pretty awful especially considering they went through the exact same situation when they got married. They didn't believe her about her sexual assault poster boy of an ex (and they didn't even know him before he showed up!). They were straight up villains as far as I'm concerned! Milly was adorable and Brennan was so good with her. Colton was such a jerk in the beginning and I know it's partly because he was still grieving, but having read all of the books, I think it's also because the guys are just jerks (just like the dad is a jerk). I do like this story the best out of all of them though.

Baby Secret: Clay and Autumn -Autumn is on the run with her son, having left her abusive husband. She doesn't want to pull anyone into her troubled life but Clay is irresistable. When she finds herself pregnant and her ex-husband tracks her down, she has to decide whether she should let Clay protect her or leave to protect him.
Clay is probably the nicest out of all the Slade brothers though (not the most easygoing, but the nicest and most gentlemanly). I thought it was weird that Autumn essentially showed up without a plan other than "I'm gonna run a bed and breakfast." That's a pretty sparse business plan.

Loves Me NOT: Wyatt and Destiny - Wyatt and Destiny were high school sweethearts whose relationship blew up after a misunderstanding at prom. Destiny went off to college nad Wyatt left to travel the world and have fun. He's back now and he's determined to make Destiny listen to him.
Such a misunderstanding - but also I understand why she was mad. . So they both leave town. Destiny is back to help take care of her dad who had a stroke. She's been celibate for ten years while Wyatt has slept his way through the world. Well, that's a little inaccurate. He has had some partners, but not as many as everyone thinks. More than anything, he wants to clear up the argument with Destiny. And she finally needs to tell him about what happened with her that week.

Best Friend's Sister: Hudson and Deven - Hudson is back in town and decides to crash at his old best friend's apartment. He hooks up with a girl before he gets there, not knowing that it's his friend's sister who will be living with them. Her brother will not approve, so they're a dirty little secret. Neither of them really want that though, but Deven's family is less than supportive and Hudson doesn't want to lose his friend.
I felt so bad for Deven. Like a lot of people who have been abused, she acted out in ways that were delf-destructive. I think in this case, she (or our perception of her) was caught in between understanding that she was acting out and not wanting to slut shame her. But I think that there's a difference when a young girl is acting out sexually - you don't want to tell them to not do it, because she needs to develop a healthy understanding of her own sexuality, but also she isn't mature enough to make some of those decisions. In this case, she needed her mother to find out what was going on, believe her, and leave her abuser. She would have been less likely (with some help) to do the things she did (and those things led to her family treating her like she couldn't make any good decisions and as though her life was trash).

Commentary: Two glaring things that I noticed: grammatical errors/typos (a lot of them, unfortunately) and everyone in this books drinks so much. I know that they own a brewery, but it seems like half the brothers are burgeoning alcoholics (and given their dad's situation, you'd think they'd avoid that) and most of the problems in the book happen because of or adjacent to alcohol. I have nothing against casual drinking, but I feel like this was a little more than casual.

Found in the book
Drunk/drunken: 71
Drink/drinking: 247 (although some of those are referring to something other than alcohol)
Alcohol: 20
Beer: 148
Whiskey: 105
Hungover: 9
Sober: 6

I did like these stories though - some of them I've read twice. It's a collection I'll keep!

Just ok

I've read the first 2 books and I'm trying to talk myself into reading the last 3. In the first book, Drake breaks up with Celeste via a note. A note!!! Then she takes him back. In my opinion, he didn't grovel enough. And in Book 2, the heroine has no backbone. Her ex puts the moves on her and all she says is "You haven't changed ". Omg girlfriend, make a scene, get loud, yell for help, kick him in the balls!!!! Do something!!!! This pissed me off. Does this author think unwanted sexual advances are okay??? Because they're not. Maybe I'll read about the other 3 brothers.....

Did not enjoy it, skipped a lot of pages.

I felt like the author was telling me a story, not showing me a story. The interactions between characters, leaves a lot to be desired. Drake was left by the wayside when his girlfriend leaves him for the big bad world. His family is rich but he does not feel the need to leave the small town he grew up in. Due to the type of business his family runs, he needs some legal help. Add in the new lawyer, who just happens to be a young woman.

There was a twist added to keep the reader's attention. Daddy had an affair! The unknown half sibling is hinting at causing trouble. Drake's ex show up.

Love reading a series with each book a different family member! First came Drake and Celeste, then Colten and Brennan, then Clay and Autumn, then Wyatt and Destiny and lastly is Hudson and Deven. Each hottie has issues and also their other half. Lots and lots of sex and electric shocks. When things seem to be going well, BAM! Misunderstandings and mistakes happen. Can each couple find their happy place or will these challenges take their toll.

An Okay Read

This collection has five full-length books in it. Its about five very rich good looking brothers who all want something different out of life. But, find their soulmate while looking. The books were just put together. Sneak peak of the next book for each was left in between for no real reason other than being overlooked. Or just to add more pages.

Really good

I thoroughly enjoyed this. I love when the attraction feels like lightning. This couple was hot and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book. There were ‘to be continued’ dramas that were unresolved in this book, but nothing like cliffhanger bad. I’m sure that’s what threads the next brothers story to this one.

An okay read but with a few inconsistencies and gaps. There seemed to be some timeline issues and all the books could use an edit. Overall, the storylines of each of the 5 books had a good basis, but I was a little disappointed with the flow. I’m still not sure if the point of the mystery brother. 2.5 stars

The Slade Brothers: Complete 5 book Collection

Wanted something not too hard, like MC, Mafia, or even shifters. But still with a dam good story that isn't over before it's got going. Found it here, all 5 books are different, as are the brothers and their partners. But each is a dam good read, I loved it, every single page. Thanks Alexis Winter, another winner here

I really wanted to love this…

I clicked on this from a Facebook ad and I desperately wanted to love this. I love series about brothers. However, this had way too many continuity issues in it. Timelines didn’t add up from one book to the next. Events and ages completely changed. I just couldn’t get past that.

I rated this book on 3 stars because of the silly errors in the books. Author really should have a better proofreader or better grammar software. The stories do have great content.

Meet the Slade brothers. Five handsome, rich, know what they want men and the women they fall for. I enjoyed each book and loved the bond between the brothers as much as the romance between the lead characters. Lots of twists and turns and miscommunication to add to each story.
