So. Cain is conveniently taken to a place where time passes at one year to one day in his world. He spends 5 years there honing his abilities by just surviving in the forest, killing monsters. His clothes somehow stay in remarkable shape, and then he even grows and gets a different outfit and conveniently picks up a fenrir (the animal companion of choice for all isekai 🙄). He also picks up a baby dragon from his martial instructor (unclear if the couple were dragons themselves?).
He discovers that Yuuya was summoned with his own original parents, to defeat Aaron, the god of amusement that went rogue and amused himself by brainwashing humans into starting wars. This is a very dumb explanation of their world. Aaron was bored because the world was just starting out and there weren’t a lot of amusements. So he became twisted and started amusing himself in horrible ways. Instead of, you know, introducing or inspiring new amusements like any of the other gods…? Even the god of war is sitting around perfectly content even though there isn’t currently a war, the author is really stretching here. The gods got mad at him and took away his godhood but couldn’t remove all his powers (it said that, but it seems they couldn’t remove ANY of his powers, so losing godhood appears to do zero). However, the gods can’t meddle in mortal affairs (really?) and now that Aaron isn’t a god, they can’t do anything about him. WHAT. Just think about that logic. He fucked up so they basically punished him to be outside their ability to punish him. 😐 hence the need to summon Cain’s parents and Yuuya, and they’re randomly joined by a healer type named Marine go to defeat Aaron, only managing to seal him temporarily. Yuuya somehow attains godhood, founds the country of Esfort, then pretends to die when his son is 10, and he and Marine go live in the other world he created. She died a long time ago but he’s been there for millennia doing nothing in particular that I can tell.
Cain is done training but now looks 17. It’s ok, Yuuya can just switch him back to being 12 again and he’s only missed a few days of school. No problem with transitioning back to being a young student after surviving for years and being self sufficient. Nope. Also uses intimidation on some bullies and is shocked that they run away, when he only used a level that he used on monsters. This is where Cain’s stupidity comes out again. He really has no concept that when the teachers say he can use “full power” it’s because they think he’s a normal 12 year old. Even though he sees what everyone else can do, he still just summons something that is probably the lord of darkness. 🤦🏻♀️

A plush toy needs to be made of the little dragon Gin and the white wolf Haku. The artwork is absolutely adorable and beautiful! Make sure these plush toys are available in Texas USA. I am an old lady and want these for myself.
Cain is given the chance to grow exponentially in strength because the God of Amusement, Aaron, who was banished by the other 7 gods is going to appear soon and cause a lot of trouble. Cain meets Yuuyu, the former King of Elsford, who trains Cain in a forest. The forest can train somebody for 5 years, and that 5 years is only a few days in Cain's time. Cain grows from 12 years old to 17 years old by the time the training is completed. Yuuyu then changes Cain back into a twelve-year-old, so he won't scare his family and the people of the village. Next, Cain gives the current king two items that Yuuyu gave him to give to the current king. This would explain where Cain had been for the five days since the ceremony was held (in volume 4). Now Cain is training at his school to summon monsters to make a pact with them. Cain hopes he can make a friend like he did with Haku, the white wolf, and Gin, the cute little dragon. However, Cain summons a beautiful man known as the Prince of Darkness! What in the world is Cain going to do? I gave this episode 5 stars and can hardly wait for Volume 6 to magically make its way into my Kindle!
5 volumes in and this series is still crazy! Cain is op and just stupidly lucky which is so much fun to read but also the overall story got deep when his parents were mentioned, I'm looking forward to seeing what this Prince of darkness will bring after the last panel!
I really enjoy this version instead of the anime. Once again the details here are more clearer than in the anime. Also Cain’s version in the novel seems more serious than in the anime.
