Nice Ink #5

This Could Work

Rate this book
Damian Bishop thought he found love once, but he was wrong. Suffering one heartbreaking loss after another, he’s done with men. Sure, it’s lonely sometimes, but he’s got a good job, great friends, and a cat. What more does he need?

Kiel Nice feels the same. Why settle for one man when the sexy firefighter can have any man he wants?

Fate, and their friends and family, have other plans for these two. There’s only so many times they can be thrown together before the chemistry between them becomes too much to ignore. And maybe just maybe the thing they’ve always been most afraid of? Maybe this could work.

This is the final novel in the Nice Ink series. It’s a 70K word novel with no cheating and a guaranteed HEA despite a few bumps along the way. Although it’s part of a series, each book follows a different couple and can be read as a standalone.

Damian Bishop had thought he was in love once but was wrong and so he is done with men and so concentrates on his good job, great friends and of course his cat. Fireman Kiel Nice has decided that he won't settle for one man when he can have any man that he wants. Then their friends and family have other plans for them and they are thrown together so many times that their chemistry is impossible to ignore. Maybe it is worth the chance to see where this goes?

There were certainly plenty of bumps in their roads to finding togetherness, but I did love that these two were able to find their own HEA together - and one that they definitely deserved. I loved the chemistry between them as well as the way that their relationship developed into something quite deep. It was both a joy that the last Nice brother found a HEA and very sad that this great series had come to the end. This is an MM book and it contains mature content.

A sweet ending to a great series. This is currently Edmisten's only M/M series and it certainly doesn't disappoint. You really get invested in these characters and Trish Edmisten has made sure that among the five books, there is something for everyone. This could easily be read as a standalone but when read in sequence the Nice Ink books are great! Start with Going Inksane and you'll be hooked. Bonus is, this is a completed series, so no hanging around for the next instalment. Absolutely binge worthy!
