Cole Denton had already pulled me deeply into his Sanguine Series world and he has effortlessly reeled me back in with Hate. Hate is a spin off from the Sanguine Series and a prequel to the Bound by Blood series which features some beloved characters and some … not so beloved.
In Hate we meet Nev, who is written with such a charming innocence in the beginning that it’s fascinating to see how the events of her young life shape her future. Although it started in ancient Dreyle, the story leads us to the modern world and it has me ravenous for what’s to come when all of that Hate is unleashed on those Nev believes have wronged her. Another fantastic read from a master wordsmith with his uncanny ability to build worlds for your mind to escape into.
*You should read the Sanguine Series duet - The Queen and Hybrid before you read Hate.

Holly crap.......Cole Denton you've done it again. You've introduced us to Nevaeh, I will admit my heart broke for the little 4 year old girl and the bullying that she went through but as the story goes on she grows into a very mature (130yrs old) woman. I'm looking forward to your next book so I can read more about Nevaeh and the powers that she'll possess,Queen Octavia, Klyn, River and the rest of the queen's men.
If you haven't already I'd suggest you read The Queen and Hybrid first at it'll explain who Queen Octavia, Klyn, River, Liam, Sean Michan and Ethan are.

OMG!
Cole has done it yet again! Although this is just a prequel, the emotions and suspense he weaves into this short story are phenomenal! I don't want to give anything away, but in order to fully understand, I highly recommend you read The Queen and Hybrid if you haven't already, however, it's not necessary to truly enjoy this story. I can't wait for more!

Another extraordinary story from Cole Denton. The Queen, and then, Hybrid were my first PNR reads. So, I did not hesitate to purchase and read Hate. I knew I'd love it as well. I did! Hate is a well-written, well-paced, suspenseful page-turner. Cole Denton is a creative genius!
I smiled when I first read the names, Queen Octavia and Sir Klyn. I became invested in these characters from the previous books. This story is a wonderful introduction to Nevaeh and where her "Hate" comes from. What a climactic ending! I cannot wait to continue reading the next instalment in this new series.

Another feather in Cole's writing cap! This lead in to his next series, combining characters from previous books of The Sanguine Series, did not disappoint. Meeting Nevaeh and reading her life's journey, finding that the Queen and Klyn are part of the story makes me wonder what the future holds. Poor Nevaeh, my heart broke for her, being bullied as she was as a child, growing up poor and mistreated... I just wanted to hug her. Being taught to hate those responsible for her plight in life and to seek revenge... I want her story to be told... however, please don't hurt Klyn, Cole!

The Queen was my first Cole Denton Book, so I was looking forward to seeing them again and I was not disappointed…Introduced to Nevaeh at the age of 4 and as she grows and deals with bullies, the story ends with Nevaeh at age 130 and leaves us wanting to know what is next and what twists appear. This story was the perfect bridge between Queen and the new series….Another nail biting Cole Denton book

Wow!
An amazing read. Addicted from the beginning as I was trying to figure out why young boys bullied a little four-year old girl with vision problems. As the story progresses, it becomes clear as all the clues reveal themselves. I want to see the connection between these characters and what happens. Great read and I’m ready for the next book.

This opener to a new series had me captivated throughout. Straight away, the scenes unfolding pulled at my heart strings and I was totally enamoured with Navaeh. I noticed that other reviewers mention, that the Bound by Blood series is a spin-off to Mr Cole's Sanguine series. I haven't read these books and don't believe it has been detrimental to me by not doing so. That said, I'm now curious and seen as I found Hate and the world in which it is set, fascinating, I've quickly added these books to my TBR.

I just enjoy reading Cole Denton’s Books and Hate didn’t disappoint at all. You’ll meet Nevaeh at 4 years old being bullied by some boys and treated poorly by grown ups. She grows up to be a strong female on a path for revenge of her mothers death. This will end in a cliffhanger. Can’t wait for the series to start and see what’s going to I happen.

I love how this story picks up from one series and leads into another, without making the reader feel as though something has been missed.
Short and intriguing, you get just enough to leave you on the edge of your seat, knowing a really great series is headed your way!

Prequel
What excellent background to an awesome story. This prequel was a fast paced, full of energy read. Even from the age of four Never was a spitfire with Witt and brains. Loved learning about her past.

I’m super stoked after reading Hate to have the Queen’s Men back from the Sanguine series. Ah Klyn! I loved the history of Nev and can tell this girl is going to be a favorite of mine. Hate is a powerful motivation and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

This short prequel was the perfect introduction to Neveah and her past, ready for the Bound By Blood Series. As always, Cole’s words pull you in from the very first page. This was a great start to what is sure to be an incredible series.
