One phone call was all it took to dismantle the relationship that Serenity Smith had spent the last seven years building with her fiancé Yosohn Thomas. One phone call that confirmed everything she’d known for that he was a lying, cheating, two-timing dog.Embarrassed, hurt, and fed up, Serenity does the only thing she can think to do. She leaves, forcing Yosohn to get his act together.Although Yosohn knows he isn’t perfect, he loves Serenity with all his heart. While he regrets cheating on her, his biggest regret was cheating on her with a chick that just can’t seem to let go.For Jocelyn Rodriguez, Yosohn is like an addictive drug that she can’t get enough of. She’s hooked. And just like a drug addict craving a high, she’ll do anything to get her next hit. Despite loving one another endlessly, Serenity and Yosohn are torn further and further apart by lies, obsession, and deadly secrets. Will the two of them make it, or will their relationship be destroyed by the people closest to them? This is a re-release, previously titled Deceit, Lies, & Alibi's.

Hmmmm okay... I will say that I enjoyed that this book was a standalone. This story also was a good eye opener for forgiveness and knowledge about whom you are with and knowing what you get from them. The main characters had a lot going on and it was a circle of untrustworthy relationships and the people around you okaying bad or rather poor decisions. This story drags on to me a lot of not needed details and chapters of moments that lead to nothing and don't add to the story. In the sand it just what you knew would happen for the second page of the book.
There was so much drama and action in this standalone. I like the fact that it could have reasonably ended in several different ways as far as who Serenity would end up with. I like that she knew her worth and valued herself. I was shocked in the end...
I loved this story because it showcased raw love and real deal in friendships. This author showed the good the bad and not just some fairytale. I loved the main characters and hated them too. I gave this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and recommend it to all readers of good hood books.
Serenity knows that Yoshan is her true love but his cheating ways will be the end of a solid relationship. Hakim Yoshans boi knows he got a great woman Nikki but will it be enough to stop dealing with the rats? Naomi is Serenity’s bff , beautiful but insecure. Wanting Mann Yoshans other home Naomi will do anything but he wants what he wants Serenity? When Jocelyn calls Serenity and exposes Yoshan, this is the final arrow especially when she says she pregnant. Serenity cannot take it. Yoshan will suffer and the changes, mute conversations, secrets and tragedies will open a lot of eyes. Serenity will have huge decisions to make for her and her daughter especially when she meets Razul. Meanwhile Manny’s obsession is stronger than ever for Serenity which will affect Serenity Naomi and Yoshan! Excellent and beautiful ending!
I couldn't really get into the characters. Yoshon was a hot mess, too many mentally challenged people involved. You never saw Yoshon or Ren interact with her daughter. Did Ren have a different father from her siblings? Hakim was selfish as well, thinking it's ok to cheat. His death was never avenged. Needs work!
Yeah she's a good one. I understand people can change. Why should I have to leave you for you to want to change though? You see the other person has moved on now you alk of a sudden WA t to change? Miss me with the bullshit. You should change for yourself first and then for "The Love Of Your Life". All that other shit you spitting is straight BULLSHIT!!!
I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. The twists and turns will keep you guessing just when you think you’ve figured out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this author.
This was a very entertaining book. Slightly different plot. Yosohn took Serenity down through it! They both made mistakes, but learned valuable life lessons. Definitely recommend.
Whew Chile that honey pot was made of gold lol. The way she was being stalked, obsessed over, lied too! Lord poor baby didn't have a chance. Sometimes we think the grass is greener but it's not
I am in awe of this author. Her books are raw, gritty and spell binding. So many twists and turns, but all the ends are neatly tied up. Each person gets their just deserts. Loved the main character Serenity and cheered her on through all her ups and downs.
Yosohn was selfish! Mann was crazy. Serenity deserved better. This was really good but I hated the ending. Also, I wish there had been closure on the Hakim situation
