Ice skates and multiple mates - What's a girl to do?

When I told my friend, Willow, that I would housesit for her, I didn't realize it would involve a brooding god of the underworld, an 18th century Highlander and a swoon-worthy dragon shifter.

I may be a demigod, but my powers are no match for a time traveling spell that throws me into the arms of a kilted scot. I'll need to find my way back to present day, before I'm trapped in the past forever.

So much for a relaxing vacation by the pool...

As soon as Elena Gray announced that we would go back to the mythology she used in her Willow book I was so excited and looking forward to this book. I really loved the Greek mythology she incorporated here and I love how she seems to be one of those people who actually gets Hades. Or well, gets Hades the same way I do. So, when she announced Hades would be back for this book I couldn't wait any longer and I started reading as soon as I got the ARC.

Gray has a really nice tone for storytelling. Her books are easy to read and have some lightness and playfulness, even when she does manage to weave in some serious plot lines and some heavy emotions. And this book once again proves that. In a way it was incredibly funny and yet there was always a serious undertone, because Kari was having a few really rough days and had a lot to deal with, especially when it came to romantic feelings.

In this book Gray doesn't just play around with the Greek mythology though, she also adds in a little Norse mythology. And we all know there's fun to be had when Loki is around, right? I loved how both mythologies, the Greek and the Norse, seemed to co-exists in this world, as if they were two families crossing paths once in a while. And even though I'm not entirely sure yet if we know Loki's true motivation yet, it was quite amusing to see his trick play out.

However, the mating bond in this book is quite strong, maybe a little too strong for my liking. What we've seen of the guys is amazing and they all seemed really nice and gentlemanly in their own way, I would have loved to get to know them a little better though, to learn a little more about their lives and their personalities. Because even though we don't really get to read their stories, it feels like they all could have some interesting stories to tell and I'd love to read them.

Who do I need to beg for another book or sequel in this world?

Ok. So this started out really good. And I enjoyed the characters and the adventure of it all. The writing style was actually enjoyable.
But the relationships were never fully formed on page, and we only ever got one sex scene on page with one of the three guys. What the hell? Only fade to black after that first one, with just sly hints at what they were getting up to.
I swear I was so confused when this ended. It was so abrupt. The only thing that got resolved was that they were all together.

This was just so unsatisfying.
I feel cheated.
Not cool.

We got another demigod in Silver Springs. So lets meet Kari. She has been super busy with work and does not make time to have fun. So she finally decides to use a ticket she got to go skating. Only to be sucked in to time travel. Now this is interesting right? Well how far does she go in the past and will she be thrust in the future as well. She is trying to figure out what is going on but has been slowly meeting some hot men. Callum, Dagen and Hades. Now all this seems like one big crazy adventure but it is not. You will laugh at moments and be sad at others. Will she figure out what is going on? Will she realize that these guys are her mates. There is also a moment where I was thinking there could be a rejection. However, we do get a happily ever after. This is a great addition to the Silver Springs crew. You will not want to miss this rom com. Totally worth reading.

Ok so if you love silver springs we all know Mia is the queen of whacky and Eva rules anything Dildo related but Elena Gray has definataley taken the Demi-God queen title!!
Last season we had Willow and this year her cousin Kari is Housesitting whilst she and her men have some time away.
Poor Kari though she was expecting a relaxing time to perhaps hit a few clubs and do some sight seeing but instead ends up sight seeing in a different light - firstly transported back in tim to the Highlands of Scotland to Callum the hunky scots man in a kilt and then after finding her way back to the current time she suddenly finds herself riding a dragon shifter and if that isnt bizar or diverse enough for you enter Hades.
Really funny moments and a wonderful read.

Gray’s latest contribution to this world was a delight that was totally unexpected and far fro megan I expected Hoervet it was perfect given her heroine Kari is a demigod and need some spice in her life

Kari wants a break from duties and she get thrown into a tale of her own thanks to some magic sight seeming which land her with unsuspecting mates.
Better then the bars and sights of SS.The experiences Kari had were unique and wonderful. Whilst there was some moments that Kari would like us to forget in a hurry. Yet it meant we escaped the town and saw other parts of the world that I never thought we would

The magic of Silver Skates comes through again in a crazy way and I was left dying for more after this adventure. Hopefully we do get everything as this book left me craving more

3.5 stars. Bringing out the big guns. Another demigod and this time Hades is one of the mates. I can't remember Willow, with every book the characters feel like strangers. Definitely need a glossary. I liked Kari and I felt sorry for her having to go further to reach her mates. Hades was a pretty big one, but when Loki was with him, it kinda felt a little tedious. Its always, Hades and Loki with a plus one or more, so although its a shame Loki didn't get a mate, I was glad it wasn't the two of them sharing a mate. It was short and for the most part nakedness, Loki blame, one pining demigod, three mates and time travel. I'm looking forward to the next silver springs book from this author.

This was a fun fast paced story that's full of mystery, quirkiness, nakedness and lots of love. I really enjoyed how Kari's story unfolded as she was moved through time, naked, to meet some fascinating men... While she was quite frustrated with how she appeared, she sure loved the instant and hot connection she had with her guys. Mmm, her guys. Very yummy! So the winning streak continues in the Silver Skates series and I'm loving the reading adventures each story provides. Can't wait for the next one!

Kari (FMC Demi-goddess & daughter of the goddess of Snow) gets taken on one hell (pun intended) of a caper in this book. Time travelling, a hot scot - Callum, a dragon - Dagen and a dark moody god of the underworld - Hades all complicate things for Kari. It doesnt help that when ever she pops up near one of these guys she naked. This book is both steamy and funny. I literally nearly died laughing at the flying d***o that d**k slapped Kari, lol. Omg that was funny! I really loved Kari and her guys. This book was a great read.

Im just wondering if maybe Loki might star in someones harem in the future? Now that would be poetic justice i think

I loved this book. Kari moves to Silver Springs because her friends tell her she needs to take some time away from work. A random meeting with a resident gets her free tickets to the local ice rink. After hearing strange things happen when people visit there she is disappointed when nothing happens to her. Strange things take place and she ends up traveling to different places and meeting her mates. Lots of hot sexy males and a prankster add to the fun of this book.

Imagine time traveling (naked or semi-naked), falling for a 18th century highlander, dragon shifter, and the god of the Underworld, getting hit with flying dildos, and dealing with an infamous trickster god. Kari's life just got a whole lot interesting.

This was such a funny one. I swear, I couldn't stop laughing at the flying dildos. 😂 Just like the others, this is a must read.

I received an ARC and voluntarily gave my honest opinion and review

Loki

There's quite a bit left unresolved. I basically only stuck with it for Loki and Hades because I don't like time travel. Thankfully that was only a blip and the rest was okay. I don't feel like I got to know any of the characters

Elena Gray takes on RH and throws her love of Mythology in to the Supernatural town of Silver Springs..
Kari needs a hiatus from her constant and ever hassled life. She's thrown herself in to her work and according to her friends and family, she needs a break. So when her friend Willow offers up her house, in a Supernatural town, she gives in.
Add in a stranger giving her a free ticket to skate at an ice rink, a friend who isn't afraid to help her cut loose, and strange occurrences in town, she's gonna get a kick out of her little break.
But things start to get a bit too strange, when she's thrust into the path of a highlander on a mission, a dragon shifter, and the Lord of the underworld.
Now, the fact that she's naked, or mostly naked with each meeting is throwing her off her game and making her think she's losing her mind. Add in that she can now confirm what's under a Scotsman's kilt, how it feels to straddle a dragon, or what the flames of Hell feel like in a kiss, are only adding to her confusion.
Kari is very confused as to why she is suddenly so hot, bothered, and attracted to all the men, not to mention her desire to ride each of them.
But Ice Princesses can't stay frozen forever. And the heat she's working up, can't be quenched by a Flying Rooster special.

After Kari received the ticket to go on the new Ice Rink, she decided to have a little fun and go - not knowing what might happen.
All of a sudden, she starts to appear, mostly naked, in random places and in random time - including 18th century Scotland, where one of her fantasies come true and she meets Callum, a hot Highlander. The time travelling experience does not last long though, and still mourning the Scot, she ends up on a dragon in flight, only in bikini... when Hades enters her life too, and starts helping her find or reach a man from the past, it is clear Kari's life will never be the same. And Loki might have something to do with it.
Funny fast read with gods and demigods, haywire magic, some time travelling, and undeniable chemistry. Following the characters brings up hilarious moments, and creates a very entertaining read. It would not do without a little spice and mature content - after all, it's a magical RH book, Light and full of laughter, it was a very entertaining read.

"You never know what could happen on the ice." - Neve

Kari was just trying to had fun... I mean, isn't that what girls want? To have fun? Maybe trying all the drinks at Cider's was a mistake, but she and her BFF Peppermint weren't quitters, and being a demigod was a definite plus... At least, it was until...

"I smothered a yawn and snuggled into Callum’s side, my head resting on his chest. His steady heartbeat like a soothing lullaby. I had just started to drift back to sleep when I heard a male voice. “Sorry friend, she wasn’t supposed to be here.”" - Kari

Was it just a dream? A fantasy? Or was Callum a reality? What would it take to find Callum again? Was Peppermint right? Could Kari never take another shower? When Kari decides to test Peppermint 's theory, she's once again transported.... But not to Callum...

Another entertaining, intriguing tale from Elena Gray! Gods, demigods, shifters and hot alphas! Who could ask for more?

I won’t say that this is my favorite book from the series cause every time I read the newest one, I want to say that but this one is definitely going to be on my top five for this series.
I really enjoyed this book, I think is a bit different from the other ones, almost as if this was part of another series about gods and I think it has to be because of the way Elena writes cause I felt the same way about Willow but they’re really good and fit perfectly with this series cause is Silver Springs, you never know what’s going to happen and this book is a perfect example of that.
I like the way Kari meets her mates cause it’s a bit different from the other books and has a little more of mystery but it’s still romantic and funny at the same time.
I also love that there’s two of my favorite gods in this book, I won’t name them cause I don’t want to give spoilers but they’re pretty awesome, I truly recommend this one.

I may never shower again! If I journey like Kari I definitely won’t.

Poor, workaholic Kari is finally taking some time off. She’s staying at a friend’s house while she’s out of town and taking in Silver Springs. Using a ticket given to her by Ember one night, Kari goes skating and remembers how much she loves it and little time she takes for herself.

Hades is trying to figure out how his dog, Box, is finding human bones to use as chew toys. Loki’s request to meet couldn’t come at a worse time. Trust the trickster god to show up at the least opportune time.

ER wren hopping through time and space, bony chew toys, and Loki’s more than mysterious statements, will Kari figure out what’s happening? Will she be able to shower again? What about these amazing men she’s met, will she ever see them again. And for the love of everything, will Hades figure out where Box is getting his bones?!? Skate back into Silver Springs, the fun isn’t over!

I'm really enjoying this collection of Silver Skates books, the whole world is one of my favourites, and it's combined with ice skating which I absolutely love. This book is just a perfect combination, ice skating, with a hot Scottish highlander, my favourite type of shifter a dragon and a healthy dose of Greek mythology.

Kari has been asked by her friend Willow, yes that Willow to house sit for her. She's meant to be relaxing but nothing goes to plan as she is thrown across time to meet her mates.

I've got to say I couldn't pick a favourite guy in this series, I just loved them all for different reasons. When we first meet Callum, I was sad because well he's from a completely different time and I wasn't sure how that would work. But the author, Elena Gray made it work perfectly and for that I'm glad.

Bring on more Silver Skates is all I'm saying, I can't wait to see what other mischief these authors get up to!

I loved Willow by Elena and she did a great job with Kari! I haven’t read too many books with time travel because I tend to get confused with it easily, but it added to the story and was written well. This book had spelled skates, a mischievous god, and tons of humor.
Kari was realistic and although I felt bad for her, the situations she found herself in were awkward and hilarious. Her inner dialogue was entertaining and I thought her demigod powers were cool. Out of her guys, I liked Hades the most- probably because he’s one of my favorite Greek gods. Next would be Callum, a hunky Scotsman, and lastly would be Dagen, a dragon shifter. Her harem was a little all over the place, including the eighteenth century, but it was tied together very nicely and the chemistry was instant, but not forced.
Elena weaves together mythology, loveable characters, and steamy scenes so well that I’m always left wanting more. I really enjoyed seeing Hades, The Demon Pit, Storm, and Neve again, but I do hope to see more of Loki and Box in the future. We got a good look at Peppermint and I can’t wait to read her story soon!

Time travel, tricksters, and tantalizing men, oh my.
This book has it all. The hot men, the laugh-out-loud situations, the angst, and puppies! Between Hades struggling to train his dog, and find out where the skeletal body parts he’s fetching are coming from, and Loki hinting at something going on, dropping into Karis life seems like a small thing. So then why can’t he go back to the underworld and deal? And Kari can’t fathom why she’s being transported different places and times, meeting these people, and then being transported again. And always in an embarrassing state. Her life is going to hell, and she’s almost too caught up in it to care why. This book, and the characters Were amazing.

Kari is a demigoddess. She's taking a break from work in Silver Springs, where her friend Willow lives. What she didn't know though was that wearing a pair of magically stained ice skates would bring her to her mates, in the 18th century, in another city and even in the underworld. Kari needs to figure out fast what's happening to her before more problem arises.

As the other books in the Silver Spring series, this was such a nice and light read. It has a lot of funny moments and embarrassing situations that I've come to love in Elena Gray's books. The only think that didn't let me give it 5 stars was that the second half of the book looked rushed.

I was kindly provided with an ARC by the author, but I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

Time travel and a hole lot of fun

Oh my God this made me laught so mush, everything about this story had me in stitches and made me smile especially the flying dildo that whacked Kari in the face and all the unpredictable thing that happened to her along the way and I found her friend peppermint hilarious, even the comment about kari and her time travel vagina. This had everything I could have ever want with time travel, magic and three sexy fated mates with Callum the sexy Scot and why wouldn't you not love a Scot in a kilt, Dagen the dragon shift who I found so sweet and caring especially with his two adorable pups, hades with his brody alfa ways and the god of the underworld with his hound box who keeps getting in to trouble and I loved every minute.

Elena Grey always knows how to write a book that grabs you and has you completely invested in the characters. Kari is a great FMC...she has been through some tough moments and then she puts on the skates! This book has those laugh out moments you expect from this town of crazies but there are also some deep and intense moments that have you flicking through the pages to read more. The men are all intriguing, and really who does not love a dragon shifter! This is a great read by a really talented author! Cannot wait to read more from these characters and learn more in depth from all the guys as well. Highly recommended.

Elena always writes a lighthearted and witty Silver Springs book! Kari is an upbeat, fun loving, and well adjusted adult. She is just very overworked and doesn’t know how to take a vacation until she gets to Silver Springs, then everything changes. And all she did was rent some ice skates. Now she has three new men in er life and a slight mystery of mischief making to solve. Hopefully she will discover it and live happily ever after. I really enjoyed this book as I enjoy every SS book. Can’t wait for more SS books.

Just when you think books set in the Silver Springs world can't get any better they raise the bar and prove you wrong! I absolutely loved this book and Elena Gray's imagination knows no bounds as in proved by this book Kari. We have time travel, naked transportations and maybe even Hades himself may find love? I really loved the time travel apect as it was so much fun and caused so much confusion but unfortunately caused Kari so much heartache, thinking she would never find him again. This book is fun and funny and I would definately read it again and again.

I started reading the book, looked up once and discovered I had read half the book, put my head down once more and devoured the second half of the story. This story is quite entertaining and heart warming. Not only does Kari have to deal with a complication to the mate spell, but she's also starting to develop some serious abandoning issues from the whole ordeal. My heart ached for her in several areas of the book and rejoiced when the good times rolled back in.
Great addition to the Silver Springs series, awesome characters and a wonderful story line.

The latest Silver Skates book is sweet and funny.

Kari is a demi goddess, and is in town house sitting for her friend, Willow, who we met in the Spell Library series. The spelled skates go a little bit strange and cause her to teleport into a couple of odd situations, running into her mates along the way. She has to figure out who's behind it, why and how to reunite with all her men.

Overall, this was a fun read, with warm, funny characters and situations, and I hope we get more from this particular thread of Silver Springs in future series.

This starts off with a quote of Neve and it's spot on: you never know what happens on ice. It couldn't be more fitting as winter is set in my homecountry and ice will be forming. Ah the joys of winter. It's no different in Silver Springs and especially for Kari as her mom is a goddess and she is a demigod. A night drinking with the girls perhaps wasn't the smart thing to do... I loved the way Elena wrote this book. It's not what you expect and yet it is because you'll love the characters and she sold me with 18th century highlander.

Laughed till it hurt.

I absolutely loved this installment of the silver skates series, this story is totally different to all the others and we find Kari is transported through place and time to meet her mates. It was one of those stories that hit you I'm the chest one minute as you could feel her desperation to unite with them again. You also could not help but laugh at the whole hilarity of the situation, males me nervous to take shower again. Cannot wait for the next book to drop to see if there are anymore surprises from Loki.

And an accent which I think it could have kicked it up with the portrayal of an 18th century Scottish accent. I think other than that, it is an amazing book that just couldn't put down with its outlandish (or should I say outlanderish) scenes. Add in that I love dragons(and love the colors associated with his scales and for that matter I want to see the dragon necklace because I have one similar... I think) and have always had a soft spot for Hades (and Loki for that matter but neither here nor there)
