I was born and raised in Joliet, IL. I wrote my first story in the 3rd grade and fell in love with creating my own world. But throughout the years I have lacked the discipline to actually sit down and write. Even with a minor in Creative Writing (which should have been my major).
I have been a avid romance novel reader since Jr. High and have read hundreds. I have lived in Chicago, Japan, California and now reside in Arizona. And I wanted nothing more than to combine my love of romance, writing and traveling and put them in a book.
So one day out of the blue while in the middle of reading another book, the story that I had started months ago kept bombarding my every thought. Until I couldn't even continue to read the book I was in the middle of. I put down my Nook and picked up my laptop and about fifteen days later, I had finished my first draft of my manuscript. It was the most exhilarating moment of my life. To know that I finally did it. That I finally finished something that I had started. And now I'm and AUTHOR and PUBLISHER! I never would have thought that was possible three months ago. I just hope that everyone that picks up any of the books I write from here on out, enjoy them as much as I did writing them.

I'm not sure if this is a cautionary tale about being careful what you wish for, or an inspirational story about manifesting your dreams LOL.
Regan was cool, her friends were absolutely trash, and I too would take a fresh pastry from a handsome French man in a coffee shop.
This was definitely entertaining and went left super fast, but that's what can happen in a short story, so I still enjoyed it.

Cute vision for a supernatural short story

This story read like someone young and writing their first ever book. The plot was thin but cute and it is a good short story to read when you've just finished a meatier novel and need a little break in between books. Pros: I love that its a supernatural story about a woman in her 30's. I love that its protagonist is not a European-American woman. I really like the twist on the typical vampire/supernatural being story. Cons: The best friend's name changes from Lisa to Tina in like one page. The writing itself "sounds" a little juvenile. All-in-all, I am excited to see how the author's writing improves because she does have talent and in time, her stories will chart me off to another world and I'm looking forward to it! Please keep working on supernatural stories for adults featuring women of color; we need more of them!

Love for Eternity, but at what Cost!

This was an amazing story and how I would picture the life destined for Regan and Royce in their realm of Eternity. But, what if you ever want to come out of the dark night into the light of day? Could she regain her soul? Even if some victims are evil, you are still feeding on human blood. At one point Regan cried out, holy shi*! At that point, there is nothing holy about the situation. There never will be that possibility in her new life! That is what makes this such a Dark Existence, even though the two are soul mates and lovers!

I read this story as part of the Creole Nights Paranormal Anthology. This short tale was one of my favorites.

It’s a super short (about 50 pages) of a fun read full of toxic friends, revenge, public sex, and a peek into a paranormal HEA.

The main characters, Regan and Royce, fell in love within hours of meeting each other. Normally that would not fly with me but they were push together by a powerful voodoo priestess.

I would welcome a version of this story that was longer that had a more developed storyline with challenges along the way. The supernatural aspect was enticing.

Juvenile

This sounded like a person sitting around a camp fire who just made up a story off the top of their head. It was too easy. Too neat. No character development or growth. Spoiler...

She ended up killing her friends and was like, oh well they were bad people. Not worth $0.99.

Greatly enjoyed

I greatly enjoyed the short read. A little disappointed that the roles of vampires were tweaked a little but aye, I'm a traditionalist. I definitely don't want to be on the author's bad side given how the heroine's "friends" were treated.

Loved it

I truly enjoyed this book. I felt so sorry for this young lady, her so called friends and that guy who treated her like dirt. They all deserved to die for their mistreatment of her. Happy she found her one.
