Defending a lawyer in court is never easy, but when a divorce attorney is charged with the murder of a private investigator, the pressure builds to breaking point.
Joe Fielding wasn’t an ordinary investigator. He wasn’t clean, he wasn’t honorable, and he wasn’t truthful—he was one of the most corrupt, ruthless, and fraudulent investigators to ever walk the streets of Chicago. Fielding’s employment at a family law firm was littered with criminal activity, and his employers were determined to see his secrets go to the grave with him.
To discover the truth, criminal defense attorney Tex Hunter must fight against convicted felons, corrupt lawyers, and ruthless businessmen, but each step brings him closer to violence. Fielding’s reputation was built on cruelty and dishonesty, corruption and manipulation, and his previous employers would continue to protect their secrets, even if it cost a defense lawyer his life.
Investigating years of testimonies and decades of criminal activity, the case forces Hunter into a corner—to chase the truth, to uncover the evidence, he must risk his own life to expose them all…
The Tex Hunter books are excellent stories, I'm just really, really annoyed that I have to wait until Dec 19 to get the final "installment". That's just MEAN!
All the stories revolve around Tex Hunter, a no-nonsense, no-holds barred defense attorney with a cast of colorful characters and a little humor sprinkled about when it's least expected. There are lots of twists and turns and surprises with a back story of the father whose been in prison since Tex was 10, having been convicted of multiple murders. Tex is sure of his father's innocence but to date he has spent about 30 some years in prison with tension rising at the end of each book because Tex is just a little bit closer to finding out the truth. There's always one more thing he has to do, just one more, just one more. I'm awaiting the final book and there better be one fantastic, out of this world denouemont after all this.
thanks author for sharing these great books, highly recommend
This book was very busy. It was a lot going on. Tex had a lot of his plate to deal with. This book touched me because it gave a glimpse of Tex’s past life. Tex experienced totally lost at the age of 11. His childhood with his aunt was so sad but he was so thankful for her taking care of him until adulthood regardless of her abuse treatments towards him. What I truly like about Tex is his love and loyalty to his family. He’s so genuine, generous, dedicated and determined. And I like that Ray is his ride or die. I think Esther needs to concentrate more on her job as an assistant rather than trying to be a wifey. She’s going to be his distraction, his weakness and I like Tex character the way it is, boisterous, fearless, courageous and his great sense of humor. Now, let’s see what Natalie talking about.
Saving JustIce continues the Fed Hunter family saga about his father laced with A new mystery. The story progresses with new information about his fathers innocence but leads to a new case. While the book is good it stretches the father story without a solution to solve his innocence. I liked the book but becoming weary of the continued father saga.
I started book one because I read everything from my other favorite authors and was looking for another legal thriller. Read book number one by Peter O'Mahoney. I have read one book a day in the last week just finishing book 5 and now I'm starting on book 6. This author is definitely a 5-star author in my opinion.
If you’re looking for a great series, try the Tex Hunter series. It’s one of the best. I enjoy reading about how lawyers work to free innocent clients. Plus you add the extra secondary plot of trying to get his father out of prison. It works for me, try it. You’ll be happy you did.
I loved this book! Good clean legal suspense withtout offensive language. Keeps you guessing until the end. I just have one question. Why can't Esther and Hunter ever get together?!
I was thrilled with the ending which was appropriate for the story. Having lived and worked in Chicago for a year. It was good to be reminded of the city and its culture.
Loved the twists and turns in this book; the characters came alive in the pages. Just couldn't put the book down. Intricate, nail biting with lots of suspense. Thoroughly enjoyed this bpok
Great legal series I was better at giving reviews the only reason I don’t do them all the time is because it’s annoying to have to type all this out but I like the books
The author has written a very intriguing and suspenseful law story of deception and suspense that will keep you entertained and guessing as to where the story will take you next. A story that will keep you guessing.
Tex takes on a murder case, an old girlfriend accused of murder. At the same time he is trying to clear another client on malicious accusations of sexual misconduct. Is there a relationship between the 2clients?
I could not put this book down. I read it within a day, it was too interesting. There was a lot of action and stories within stories which made it more enjoyable. I can't wait to read the next book.
Even lawyers have cases of situation that need true justice in solving their own personal problems. Often these are caused by their own misperceptions.
STOP PUSHING NEEDLESSLY PROLONGED NARRATIVES AND 'TWISTS'.
Jesus Bloody Christ dude. Infuriating. I'm still reading your work. How long I will respect it enough to refer to it as 'work' as opposed to an orthographic abortion remains to be seen.
I thought I'd just read a few pages since I had finished another book earlier in the day. That was several hours ago, as I just finished Saving Justice. Since I don't want to be up all night, I don't think I'll start the next book in the series.
It was almost a date. Tex is a criminal attorney through and through! This one went so fast for me. Read in less than 24 hours. Will the sister be honest and true to her word?
I really enjoyed this book. The many twist and turns, along with the intertwining events heightened the storyline. As the plots emerged and ran together, the reading pleasure was enhanced. Well done.
The plotting gets stronger and stronger with each novel in the series. The writing can still be awkward at times especially with repetition in the language, but still a good read.
Love Ted and Ester!!! Please make the next book come quickly !! So many twist is the main reason I keep reading. Thank you for yet another great story..
Starting to all read alike. Yes always gets the innocent off, he's still trying to get his dying father out of prison, and Esther is still waiting for him enough already
Tex Hunter was new to me. Interesting premise for the storyline. Don’t like cliff hangers at the end of a book but the main story was cleared up. Seems like books would have to be read in order.
