Boy, do I know how to pick them. Is it bad karma to start a new year off with a negative review?

I'll just let the highlights do the talking this time. Caution - rape scene ahead.

8%
The opinion of a drug-addicted, low-class whore is of no interest to me.

13%
An overused, cheap, junky whore wouldn't make my list of potential girlfriends.

18%
I can't have you dressed like a hobo or a whore in this house. (BTW, she was wearing leggings and a thin long sleeved shirt)

23%
No offense, but what do you know about treatment plans? Were you multitasking? Surgeon by day, low-grade prostitute by night?

31%
I was crushing her, degrading her every chance I got - She’d have to give in soon.

31%
It'll be a cold day in hell before I stuck my shaft into her overused cunt.

33%
I couldn't care less as long as you're downstairs tomorrow by 7 pm, properly dressed, and behaving like a decent person and not the low-class whore you are.

35%
She's just a cheap whore of limited intelligence.

38%
Yeah, sure I want an overused cunt that has probably been fucked by half of Philly's slum. She is clearly a petri dish for STDs.

39%
Maybe once I had her sloppy cunt, I wouldn't be so distracted.

41%
"What do you want to study?"
...
"Creative writing and marketing," I replied quickly.
He raised an eyebrow in wonder. "Why marketing? To help you promote your prostitution business? Let me help you," he sneered and I knew immediately that his next words were going to sting. "'The tightest cunt you'll get for a fifty.' Catchy, isn't it?"

42%
"I'll pay for college if you suck my dick," he said calmly, all chilled as if he hadn't just requested a sexual favor for money.
...
(after said dick sucking)
"I need $5000 for tuition," I enunciated clearly, pleased that I'd managed to hide the hurt.
He snorted. "Five thousand? This disaster was worth nowhere near that amount. Too much teeth, too much saliva, too much gagging." He sighed. "I hardly believed people paid you anything. This was worth $5 max."

42%
This penis was a good length. I’d say an N2 pencil so seven inches and a very impressive thickness. He was cut, the head and shaft were well proportioned. Yep, Opal would have given this penis a nine out of ten. (what the...)

55%
Dean had used me and then thrown me into someone else's arms like I was a good for nothing piece of trash.

57%
He had been nothing more than a dick to me, wanting to take away the only good thing I had in my life.

58%
If you don’t let him in, you’ll regret it, my pussy whined. He made you feel good. Sighing, I touched the lock but didn’t turn it. And he was nice to you today. Maybe he likes us now, maybe he is forgiving us for whatever he thinks we did? my heart added.

59%
“No,” he growled. Grabbing my neck, he pushed my face down. “Turn around. I can’t look at your face,” he added, slamming into me even harder as if he was punishing me for attempting to look at him. Hearing that the idea of me disgusted him was the most painful thing. I went limp, letting him finish, becoming the fuck doll he clearly thoughts I was. I tried to dissociate, tried to think of anything else as he rutted in me. He grunted with every thrust. I felt used and abused - as if I was being raped. What this how Opal had felt? Why she had become so unfeeling? I just wanted him to be done, and I never wanted to do this again. He finally came on a roar and I thanked the heavens for it. When he leaned against my back and I felt his lips against my neck, I couldn’t help my gag reflex. Bucking my hips, I threw him off me and rushed to the bathroom. I was just in time to empty my stomach into the toilet. “Are you okay?” he asked, having followed me into the bathroom. I quickly glanced his way. He was zipping his pants and walking toward me. I vomited again and he reached for my hair. Swatting his hand away, “Don’t touch me. Please go.” I said, my voice breaking. “Have - have you taken any drugs?” he asked tentatively I let out a sob. Just when I thought he couldn’t hurt me any more than he already had... How much more could I take from him?

60%
I knew how Dean saw me - as just a warm body here to satisfy his basic urges. But never again. I could never feel this low again, never feel so used. I would not survive it.

69%
"You must be the whore? Opal, isn't it? I'm Helle, Dean's girlfriend."
I tried to grip Opal's hip, to lock her by my side, but she took a step back. "Opal belongs here. She's wanted here. You're not. Leave. Now"
Helle laughed. "You can't be serious?"
She looked at Opal with her mouth tipped down in disgust before turning toward me again.
"Come on, darling. You called her a useless meat sack - barely a step up from a blowup doll. You don't seriously want to spend time with her."
I saw Opal flinch and even though I'd said those words, I wanted to kill Helle for repeating them.

80%
I had always been so rough with her, degrading, even mean during sex. I'd used it as a not-so-passive-aggressive way of punishing her for making me feel so much desire, so much want. ( You mean, flat-out raping her?)

DNF at 36%. I normally abandon a book due to irritation with the heroine. But this time around, the Leading Jerk was the ruination of what I thought might be a cute story.

The heroine had been raised by her older sister Opal. Opal was a heroin-addicted prostitute that died shortly after giving birth to a baby boy. So the heroine is doing her best to raise little Timmy and make sure he gets medical attention for his heart defect, but is struggling to make ends meet.

The hero asshole, is the older brother of the father of little Timmy. They come from Pennsylvania royalty. So with the hero not married and childless, and his younger brother now dead from a drug overdose (that he blames Opal for), little Timmy was the heir to their family dynasty. So the hero’s goal is to take away little Timmy from his druggy whore of a mother (his words) and get him proper heart surgery and be raised as a billionaire’s heir should.

So once he learns of Timmy’s existence, he tracks down Opal. He has no idea Opal is dead and he assumes the heroine is Opal. She doesn’t correct this mistaken identity because she fears he would be able to remove Timmy from her care, etc.

So a bargain is made, and cruel drama begins. I hated it.

I normally LOVE an agreement/arrangement, forced proximity and accidentally fall in love story but this was not it.

He was the meanest coldest rude arrogant hero I’ve ever read. I do not like the idea of prostitution, nor drug addicts either, but I would never intentionally humiliate a person, especially OVER and OVER again. He was constantly announcing to the world that she makes her living flat on her back, etc wherever they went. Baby doctor appointments, clothes shopping, etc. It was humiliating, horrifically rude, character damaging…. For him to act like that for 30% of the book, that’s his true character and he became irredeemable to me. The last thing I wanted was to see him get a happy ending.

I jumped on to GR to see other reviews, and it definitely gets worse. Several ppl said he has punishing mean sex with her, she gave him a bj for him to pay for her college education, etc

Just a bunch of non-romantic trash. Not characters I enjoy rooting for.

This book has been on my tbr for a while, ever since I discovered R.G Angel. The premise was intriguing, and I knew I had not read anything like this in a while (or ever, my memory sucks).

The story contains a lot of dark themes throughout it all. We are also given a lot of questions that will sadly never be resolved or answered since the people who can provide the information are dead.

Dean finds out that his younger brother Eddie, who died of a drug overdose almost half a year ago, fathered a son with his drug addicted/prostitute girlfriend Opal. They had a son named Timmy and he found where Opal lives and wants to get the child out of her hands and raise him with prestige.

Amber is the younger sister of Opal and dealing with the aftermath of her sister’s death a week after Timmy was born, she has very little money, works a lot and has to take care of Timmy's medical needs.

When Dean mistakes Amber as being Opal and threatens her with taking the child away she is forced to pretend to be her sister. She spends months being berated by Dean and horrible things are said to her. I know they are terrible BUT a part of me understands why Dean is acting this way, Opal is constantly shown to have most likely had a child with Eddie because of his wealthy family and I also could not really feel much for her when it is revealed she would allow the men she slept with to pay extra and have her YOUNG UNDERAGE sister in the room to FORCEFULLY watch her sister sleep with her customers. It was super disturbing and disgusting.

Opal was a drug addict and yes, her mind was altered by that but it's still a painful reminder that I think Amber should have been angrier about or hurt by her actions.

Dean and Amber (who he thinks is Opal) are filled with angst, Amber wants him but knows he sees nothing good within her and Dean wants her but is distraught over the fact he wants his brother’s demise and ex love.

Once the truth is revealed, things aren't the greatest either. Dean steps aside and spends time away and Amber wonders why?

These two are filled with angst but thankfully they come back together and allow themselves happiness within the pain they both feel towards their siblings and circumstances.

We get a good look into their future in the epilogue. Timmy never felt neglected or less love despite his aunt/uncle being his parents, Dean and Amber have other children and we see Timmy graduate in 17 years.

OM drama: One of Deans good friends (Jeremy) has an interest in Amber, but it only goes as far as tiny flirting and asking her out, but she declines.

The questions I mentioned in the beginning and how we will never know the truth:
1) Did Opal get pregnant on purpose?
2) Did she ever truly love Eddie? (Because Eddie was said to be madly in love with her)
3) Was Opal the reason he relapsed again?

I normally don't post one-star reviews, but this one got under my skin. Dean is…well, he's a dick. He thinks it's perfectly fine for women to get assaulted and raped as long as the rapist is good at his job and makes him money. Even though he fires an assailant later, he only does it because he wants to sleep with the victim, who he's creepily watching all the time…

I can't express how disappointed I am in this book. It felt really rushed too and I kept waiting for it to get better, but it sadly didn't. I have no idea what Amber sees in him because he treats her like crap and she hates him. But then suddenly, she's giving him a blow job because...? And then she hates him again because surprise, he's a dick? But she also already loves him???

It was just all over the place. There was no reason for her to like him. He didn't even try to stop her assault, just watched it happen! Like what???? And if he's so powerful and cunning, then how come he didn't figure out Amber wasn't her sister??? Like, surely he would've looked into her in order to find her and then he would've realized Opal is dead and that she had a younger sister, because you know, that's basic PI stuff???

Idk, maybe that and Dean's flippancy about sexual assault didn't allow me to fall into the book, but like… urgh. I love Angel's other work and was really looking forward to this one, but I'm really hesitant now to pre-order her stuff. I almost can't believe this was written by the same author as the Bittersweet series. If it wasn't for her use of phrases and comparisons, which are repeated in all of her books, then I wouldn't believe it at all.

TLDR: Love her other work, but this one is a hard pass. Dean never redeems himself in my eyes (though how do you redeem a guy who's flippant about rape?) and their "love" feels really forced and 180.

Oka, I'm on an ugly, ugly roll here.

I thought this was going to be a kind of cute mistaken romance. Yeah, the H would be harsh because he thinks she's his dead brother's ex and a prostitute. Despite some horrible things the heroine held strong and proud until against his very public slurs over prostitution.

Honestly this is one of the most misogynistic I've ever read which is saying something. Looking at the blurb I see "Dark" and "Abuse" which I had not noticed before. Another FB rec gone very, very bad.

Was this book enjoyable? Did the drama, though OTT at times, feel addictive? Did some of the plot lines feel skin deep? Did some of the other plot lines punch deep (two of them in a disturbing way)? Were there sometimes a bit of too much tell and not enough show? Was the H a big jerk at times? Was the h plain too good at times? Were some of the romance themes a bit too sexist at times? Did the grovel feel okay and not enough at the same time? Did everything wrap up a bit too quickly at the end?

Oh Yes, to all of the above!! Yet, I still enjoyed the ride because RGA knows how to pace and ratch up the 'cheap' drama between her leads in a totally addictive way. This book was a bit less well written than the other books I read from her (re: Her Ruthless Warrior and The Mistake), but I am thinking that this is because this book is an older work. A good editing was also needed because there were some contradictions and typos here and there. But again, it was entertaining drama, not dark and with a good flow. Rounding up GR stars.

What would you do to protect the one that you love? The one that depends on you? The one that has never known anyone but you? Amber knew she would do anything she needed to, to protect Timmy…. even if meant being confused for her sister Opal-a drug addict.

Oh Dean- I hated you right from the beginning. Not only was he a mysterious arrogant bossy man he seemed to be an unforgiving one. I did not realize what a complicated man Dean was, always battling those demons and never allowing anyone to help him battle them. The more I read, the more I saw the true Dean, and he eventually grew on me.

Both Amber and Dean wanted what was best for Timmy yet they both had a different way of going about it. While Dean saw him as the next heir to the Beaumont family, Amber saw him as a little boy that should be able to choose his life. Amber’s way of dealing with Dean’s harshness had me hoping it would thaw Dean’s heart. A heart pounding story of living, forgiving and allowing yourself to love and be loved. Thank you, R.G. Angel, for sharing your beautiful gems with us! Kara~5 Stars

If I were new to reading or dramatic contemporary romance, I would have hated this book for the mere fact that Dean was a total asshole and his humiliating treatment of Amber/Opal was uncalled for

but because of my analytic mind which forced me to look at every aspect of a story and justify character behavior, I thought that this book was a brilliant representation of how broken people who do not seek professional help or are denied such luxury would act.
It is also a typical case of "I live with demons that I tried to avoid all mylife" or "we are mirrors of our parents in a way" but it is up to us to learn from their mistakes and try to do better

Amber 's sister was a $l¥t who had a baby with a rich guy who died from OD and she dies after birth
Amber is taking care of her nephew who was born with heart defect
Enter Dean, the a$$hole Uncle, who thinks that Amber is her sister and treats her so badly because he thinks she is the one who pushed his brother to OD and tricked him in getting pregnant (in someway, he had reasons though he did go overboard sometimes)
Amber gracefully takes all his BS but delivers some bada$$ combacks, because she doesn't want to lose her nephew/son
They make a bargain that if she proves she is a good drug-free mother he'll take care of his nephew and allow her to stay with her son
Dean tries everything to get rid of her while fighting his attraction to her
He does something very despicable in trying to prove that she is a drug addict (thinking she is Opal)
Amber finds out, confronts him, tells him the truth and leaves
He realizes his mistake, with the help of course from his sister Lea (I loved this chatacter)
And does a 180 personality change to prove to Amber he loves her

Dean's hate rises from his traumatic childhood. He saw his mentaly sick mother kill her self. His heartbroken father fading away until he dies forcing Dean to take responsibilty at 14 year old of his brother and sister
he is filled with anger and rage not because Amber/Opal is a whore (although he doesn't miss any opportunity to rub this in her face) but because he believes she was the reason for his brother's Death
Amber also has a terrible childhood having to live with a sister who was SAed by her father and forced to sell her body. Opal has engrained in her sister that "her body" is a weapon she could use to get what she wants. Amber tries her best to not be her sister, but in one weak moment, she succumbs to temptation (we are humans after all)

the book has many assertive messages

1- our childhood traumas will always affect our lives no matter how hard we deny it
2- our choices, whether good or bad, do not come from void. they are sometimes the result of outside forces thrust upon us
3- mental health is a serious issue that money and pampering can not erase. you need help and support
4- yes we make mistakes, and sometimes unforgivable mistakes, but it's how we redeem ourselves and try to be better for our significant other is what grants us forgiveness.

I loved how Dean showed his true self in the end and tried his best to win Amber back
I loved that Amber was not a hard cold bitch and kept her tender side

I loved all the side characters who added value to the book

I loved that there were refrences to Beauty and the Beast library scene and Stephen King's It
I loved the banter between the two characters and Amber's smart combacks

l just loved the book

I really love when my expectations when starting a book from a new author to me are really low, and the book manages to blow my mind. The Bargain left me totally captivated, obsessed with the story and utterly engaged from the very first chapter until the very end. I loved Dean and Amber’s story, their twisted tale of lies, pain, loss and surrender with these sizzling hot scenes in between.

Only one desire, one wish that leads to lies and deceit, suffering harshness and cruelty, and lust…lust that burns the reason and sets the body on fire….but no price is high as long as Timmy is well and protected, she’ll sacrifice her pride, her dreams, her body…that’s story of Amber, the kind-hearted heroine that is stronger than it can be seen. Strong, yet her enemy is the cruel and formidable billionaire. How can she fight when all her weapons have been taken away long ago? How can she win against that ruthless man, who has no mercy? Can her persistence stand against his determination? When the odds are not even, they play foul, but no means of proving it…Can her kindness oppose his cruelty? Can her love and tenderness melt the ice in his heart?

I honestly didn’t expect this book to be such a page-turner that won’t allow me to put it down until the very end. Yes, the plot is not something original, or unusual, but this author has manage to add a dash of uniqueness, spicing this story with jaw dropping emotions, heartbreaking scenes and prefect blend of angst and passion. Perfectly paced and easy to follow. And the characters-absolutely mesmerizing. Dean is a total jerk, an irritating, repugnant douchebag that checks all the boxes about being a perfect anti-hero. Extremely rich and hot-as-sin, he spares no words in order to humiliate and break Amber. He uses his power like nobody’s business. Completely brusque and unfeeling, he really makes it hard for readers to like him. I honestly loathed him at moments. But as his walls, his harshness starts to crack, we see glimpses of a really swoon-worthy man. His evolution in the end is really remarkable. Amber, on the other hand, is kind and forgiving. Young and still inexperienced, yet so deeply marked by her brutal past. Trying to create a better future for her and little Timmy, she shows determination and strength that is truly admirable.

And their connection definitely quite unusual, yet explosive, and so perfect in every way. From the terrible start to the heart-warming epilogue, these two simply click together, like two broken pieces of one perfect whole.

A perfect choice for anyone who love a great story that is filled with raw emotions, a dash of humor and sizzling chemistry. Read it! You won’t regret it!

Such a great book, got totally absorbed and didn’t want to put it down....

A case of mistaken identity makes Amber agree to a bargain with her nephews Uncle. She goes to live with him for 6 months. Within that 6 months life changes for both Amber and Dean. Dean is hard and cruel, he’s built a wall around his heart and after what he believes Opal (Ambers sister) done you his brother, he takes it out on Amber, to try get his nephew.

What he didn’t bargain for was Amber’s persistence, her grace, her kindness, her love for the baby and their attraction to each other.

Dean becomes someone who you can’t help but love..

Such a beautiful romance that will have you wanting more and more 💜💜💜💜

Mixed feelings on this one. While I enjoyed the story there were some points that just didn’t add up.
So some of the points I didn’t get was if the H was some rich business man. Why didn’t he research the heroine when he wanted to take his nephew away. To dig up more leverage dirt? Also he refers to her as a whore and a walking STD yet the first time they had sex he didn’t even bother with a condom, which makes him reckless and a possible Petri dish. I couldn’t move past those points.

The Bargain engaged my attention immediately as the premise was intriguing and the author’s creative writing style left me captivated throughout the entire read. Moving at a good pace and with spot on character development, The Bargain is a tantalizing romance complete with a unique plot, interesting characters, deception, and steam which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Dean was exactly what I have come to expect in an anti-hero. Wealthy and sinfully handsome, he wields his words with a sharp sword, is ruthless in his dealings, and craves control Yet, Amber rarely cowers in his presence. His cruel words, quick judgments, and questionable actions should have made me loathe him, but the author with her intricate way of weaving the story and impeccable character evolution made me like this delectable, commanding anti-hero.

I loved Amber as she is a remarkable heroine. She was a brilliant young woman who possesses an innate kindness that made her so easy to love. Her vibrant personality and caring nature were apparent throughout the novel and she definitely threw Dean for a loop. Yes, she had flaws and moments of vulnerably, but she also had an inner strength that served her well. Both characters have backstories that will pull at your heartstrings and will help the reader to understand just how their experiences have shaped who they are today. The two together made an interesting but perfect pair. Neither really like each other in the beginning and witnessing how their relationship evolved over time was highly entertaining.

The Bargain is a well written enemies-to-lovers, mistaken identity novel that has an older man-younger woman theme. I did not find the difference in age to be a big deal as Amber’s responsibilities had greatly matured her, but she was still inexperienced in other areas. I think this helped contribute to why she was an excellent match for Dean. If you are looking for an entertaining enemies-to-lovers and billionaire romance, then you should definitely check out this book!

I voluntarily read an early version of this book. All thoughts expressed are my own.

Am not going to lie but I had A LOT of tears. Everyone Amber talk about her nephew who she raised as a son, Timmy. You can feel her love from him off the pages and how that she has for Timmy cracks it way through Dean's cold heart

"He had to fight for his life from his first breath, but he is here - a little warrior, smart like a button, and with so much love to give.”
-Amber

Amber's sister Opal died after giving birth and she was a drug addict. Her and Opal had a abusive up bringing which direct Opal down that path of prostitution. Amber fought against that path even thou she helped her sister with extra tips.

Timmy is a very sick baby with a heart condition and had drugs running through his veins thanks to his mam's addiction.

Then a Knock on the door came and changed their lives. Dean thought Amber was Opal and she was scared he would tack Timmy away cause she not his real mother. So she didn't correct him.

Dean is a very cold hearted man and he had to grow up fast & run a empire. Eddie his brother is the father to Timmy but he also passed away. Dean hates Opal a.k.a Amber for begin a druggie & whore.
As time goes on he sees she loves his nephew will her whole heart and she passed every test he sent her way.

The Bargain by R.G. Angel is my first novel from this author, and this story is part mystery, part romance, and a lot of feels. Amber Collins is the younger sister of Opal, who's taken care of Amber since she was a young girl. When their mother passes away and their father becomes abusive, it is Opal who takes Amber in and cares for her. When Opal passes away and leaves behind a young son, Amber steps up to take care of Timmy, and her compassionate and sweet nature is evident in the way she interacts with the baby and the sacrifices she makes to care for him.

When Dean Beaumont shows up at Amber's door to claim his nephew Timmy (whose late father was Dean's younger brother), he mistakenly believes Amber is actually Opal. While Dean wants to have sole custody of Timmy, Dean and Amber make a deal to allow Amber 6 months to prove that she is an appropriate guardian. During their time together, Dean tries to sabotage Amber in order to get custody of his nephew; he makes demeaning comments, tries to trick Amber into taking drugs, and discredit her care for Timmy. In spite of all this, Amber proves that she is caring and warm, has a kind heart, and that she is internally strong and composed. Both Dean and Amber come from difficult backgrounds, and their experiences with their parents have shaped their views about love and life. As much as they are different, both characters actually have more in common as they struggle to overcome their past, realize that they are worthy of love, and work together to provide Timmy with the home they wish they had growing up.

The Bargain is a standalone enemies to lovers romance, and it tells the story of Amber Collins and Dean Beaumont. Amber’s sister, Opal, recently passed away and left behind her son Timmy. Dean’s brother, Eddie, is Timmy’s father who also recently passed away. So, Amber is now raising Timmy, but it hasn’t been easy. Timmy has a heart condition, and it’s been financially difficult for her.

Dean is a wealthy man who is used to getting whatever he wants. He’s cold, often cruel, and determined to get Timmy at any cost. I felt bad for Amber at times, and I wondered why she took Dean’s abuse. Although I do understand that she stayed for Timmy’s sake. However, the desire for each other was growing to the point that they couldn’t deny it any longer.

The Bargain is the first story that I’ve read by the author, and it definitely won't be my last!

Wow, wow, wow! This book deserves all the stars. I had no idea when I chose to review this book that it would turn out this good, but damn! The past stories for Dean and Amber are full of devastation, loss and the possibility of hope for the future.

I loved how strong Amber was, she was completely selfless and caring for Timmy, only wanting his best interest at heart. Even if it meant lying to Dean to stay with him and make sure he was loved and cared for. So young and she was forced to grow up so fast, between everything her family put her through and taking the responsibility of her nephew on. But she was so fragile and ready to break and she stole my heart faster than she stole Deans. And Dean! So cold and cruel, he is absolutely hurting, angry and confused about the loss of his brother and trying to deal with who he thinks is responsible for his death. He wants her but can't want her and it causes all the problems. And the result of their confusion/lust/need/want for each other is so explosive, they're chemistry is off the charts and I. Was. Here. For. It.

I honestly loved everything about their story, they helped each other heal and learned to love, trust and respect each other. I will definitely be reading more from this author, this book was so damn good. Read it!

The Bargain is a standalone story that has so many different layers, enemy to lovers, age gap, mistaken identity the list goes on.

Amber is just getting by; she is the sole guardian of her nephew who has a heart condition; after her sister passed away shortly after his birth. When Timmy’s Uncle knocks on the door looking to take him away from his drug addict ‘mother’ Amber strikes a deal to prove she is the best parent for him. As time goes on their relationship starts to build and the truth comes out about who Amber is.

I personally enjoyed this story, Amber is a strong character who is always putting everyone else first and while Dean comes across as the arrogant billionaire he shows his true side to Amber.

Angel is a new to author and I look forward to more in the future.

The alpha doesn’t know it all! Debra @Janise’s Jivin’ Book Blog

My first R.G. Angel book and I enjoyed it. It was a good read. The plot although similar to books I have read in the past was made new with the characters themselves. They brought out the emotions and heart for me. I found myself lost in the story and rooting for a happy ending.

When situations are not at all what you were expecting you tend to either react one of two ways, go with it or get angry at it. Amber is a remarkable lady with a lot on her shoulders and when Dean comes into her world she gets to experience life in a little different way that she does indeed embrace. Her nephew is her reason for all her decisions and I love that she puts him first.

Dean doesn’t realize that the situation is not at all what he thinks it is. He has a single minded pursuit to what he thinks the situation is and can’t see that he might be making a mistake.

Our story is totally a reaction to our characters pasts and how that has made them each see things. It was engaging and had a few surprises and I found that the words just pulled me in.

I wasn’t planning to read this book, but then I did. I enjoyed it more than I expected. I’m not really into steamy scenes, and this book is full of both them and sexual dialogue. However, focusing on the storyline and the development of the characters? I really enjoyed them and their journey. There were definitely parts of this and aspects that were fifty-shades-esque.

I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I really enjoyed of this book. Amber and Dean were from different worlds. I loved Amber because she was warm and nice person. She would do anything for her nephew who was her whole world. I didn't warm up to Dean that fast because he wasn't that nice. Sometimes he was pretty cruel to Amber. Only because he didnt't know the truth. I did like him closer to the end. They were such a great couple. i also liked Amber's friend Dee and I'm happy that she was in her life.
