Not Faith Martin Quality

If I wanted a Harlequin romance, I would buy one. I love books about fine art forgery, but this one is full of “pulsating nipples” and “smooth hard thighs.” I tried skimming over the trashy parts, but they pretty much permeate the whole book. If you loved the Hillary Greene series, this is not the same. It is trash disguised as a mystery. You have been warned.

Disappointed

Couldn't finish, not even close. Thought it was a British mystery, which h it might have been after awhile. If I wanted a bodice ripper , aka, romance novel, (which I didnt) would have have ordered one. Sorry Maxine, go back to being Faith.

Although I skimmed the sex parts, the rest of the story was entertaining. The writing style is always the best part of this series, for me.

The characters were well-defined, while the sense of place was great. There was mystery and suspense enough to make it a good read.

Worth a look.

What more can I say?

I love everything Faith Martin writes, no matter under whose name she writes it. An Oxford Fraud is no exception. I highly recommend it.
