Again, part 2 of the story was fun and wrapped up nicely with explanations involving mythology from both Red Queen and School for Good and Evil. This was generally just a good time and definitely for fans of the series! It's fun to see them in a different context and graphically illustrated. I do think this could have been all in one volume given how short they are, but I appreciate that the second volume was included for preorders of the physical copies!

finallyyyy ive read this... after all these years haha

I love the idea of the crossover of these 2 amazing universe and for such a short graphic novel, I did enjoy it, even though it was a bit fast and hard to follow.
the art wasn't personally me favorite, but it did capture the look of all the characters really well.

overall, pretty mid, but I’m glad I read it

this just wasn't it. I didn't even feel like the personalities of the characters matched the real ones of the RQ books...(specially Cal and Maven even if it's before all the crazy shit happened) so ahhhh this was a bit disappointing
Anyway I just wanted to see Maven and that part turned out to be not so good as well

PODCASTové zamyslenie je tu
Výnimočná grafická novela, ktorá spája svety dvoch bestsellerových sérií. Do školy dobra a zla prichádzajú hrdinova príbehu Červená kráľovná.

description

3,5

3.5* ??

2.5* again i think

just... why does this exist?? its so random lol

also insinuations of romance between characters who would be like 12-14 or something and 17-19 on the other end is just kinda weird again

the plot flowed better than it did in the first part but it was also kinda boring and kinda forgettable (i live in hope. i really hope i can forget this tbh)

Already reviewed the story in the Part 1 and much of the complaints I made still stand. The only other thing I would say is that I'm a little dissatisfied with the ending, but I guess you can't expect too much from 50 page comics—doesn't leave too much room for epic endings lol

This was not the same level as the main series by the authors. The characters seems to be out of their own character. The main reason how the problem arose in this novel and the first part's aren't clear...Just how awful.

I love the authors but this just didn't got into me. I just can't grasp the point there. How the heck did the two worlds merge anyway, besides their authors just thought to collab...? The plot's got holes and the illustrations suck. I hate how I feel like the characters are so off...

The Red School -2
Plot: Agatha and Tedros tell the ut the Storian (the magical pen that deices the fate of everyone n the Woods) but they can’t exactly get to it because they’re trapped on the roof. They’re arguing how to get off the roof (Agatha, Sophie, and Tedros want to use magic to morph to birds and the Nortans want to use a flying ship) when they’re attacked by a mob of zombies. They make it off the roof and Tedros and Cal try to fight the zombies off, but they end up falling backward into the mob. On the ship, Agatha and Maven (?) argue over going back to get them. Agatha thinks Mare is a silver and calls her cold-blooded, but she shows her that her the dried up blood on her arm is red. Agatha promises to keep her secret. Then they spot an incoming sympth zombie. He hits the ship. They head for the school master’s tower. They crash land into the tower (but make it). They find Maven’s mother controlling the Storian telepathically. But then they see Professor Dovey has been turned and they magic goes flying and knocks her down. They see the Queen getting away, but Dovey has now gotten back up. Cal and Sophie stay behind to take out Dovey. Agatha and Maven corner her on a roof, but she turns Agatha into a zombie and declares her intent to take the school and all it’s power. Agatha turns her magic against Maven and leaves her hanging on the tower. Agatha and the Queen. So Agatha is holding Maven and the Queen is holding her and the Queen is telling her to drop her (her own daughter?). But then magic zaps the Queen and Agatha drops Maven. But I think (Agatha’s magic pulls her back up or either the power of the Storian does). VERY UNCLEAR! Then somehow Rafal appears and Agatha vanishes him with her magic (This graphic novel is a NIGHTMARE to summarize). So now the spell is broken and we find out Rafal’s spirit was possessing the Queen. Rafel planned to use the Queen’s blood and since she wasn’t from the Woods, he saw this as an opportunity. he guided the two worlds together. The School Master tells everyone to prepare for Raphel’s return. Mare and Agatha talk and each say they want to make it out of their stories and each tells the other she thinks she will. They agree to be friends.

My Thoughts: Very CONFUSING! 1) Sometimes the drawings didn’t give me a very clear idea what was happening in the scene 2) The names Mare and Maven tended to be so interchangeable that I didn’t know if it was the same person or two separate people (Still don’t). Maybe after I read the series that I’m not familiar with. It was definitely harder to follow this one because for example I wondered what’s the difference between having red blood and silver blood? Why is Mare hiding the fact that she has red blood? I also wondered what timeline this was? And why does the School Master look like he has a mask on? It wasn’t that it was bad it just felt too short and too much of a leap from what I read in the School of Good and Evil.

Simplemente horrible

Nota final: 2 de 10

No tengo recuerdos memorables del libro

The characters from Red Queen and the School for Good and Evil are still fighting a plague at the school. Mare, Maven, Cal, Agatha, Sophie, and Tedros must find a way to get to the School Master’s Tower and get the magical Storian pen to stop the virus that is infecting everyone at the school.

This was a great conclusion to the Red School graphic novels. There were some more cameos of characters from the novels that appeared at the heart of the problem. I would recommend reading at least the first book of the Red Queen series and The School for Good and Evil series before reading this one because the action begins right away without much of an introduction to the characters.

These comics were such a fun collaboration. It was exciting to see characters from two great series come together in this short adventure.

I hope there are more collaborations between these characters or other series in the future.

It really just isn’t that good. Also note that unless you’ve read both series that Red School combines you’ll have no idea who the characters are. In this case I didn’t know half of them.

The only good thing is that Maven (Red Queen) finally gets a semblance of a happily ever after.

My opinions are the same as the first one. This one I enjoyed a bit more. I like the dynamic between Mare and Agatha. Honestly, I loved this random little tangent from both series and I am slightly more inclined to pick up the new SFGAE trilogy.
