Lauren Daniels had everything planned. She'd go to college, get the degree, settle down, get married, build her career as a sought-after architect and have a family. For the most part, things worked accordingly. Until she decides to change the plans to get what she wants. Now, a chance encounter with a handsome man brings more than just the broken vows of infidelity. Leaving Lauren to wonder if she should have left well enough alone. How quickly we forget that things done in the dark always comes to light. Sometimes the best laid plans can spell disaster or even cost you a life.
Lakisha Johnson, native Memphian and author of over ten titles was born to write. She’ll tell you that “Writing didn’t find me, it’s was engraved in my spirit when I was created.” Along with being an author, she is an ordained minister, co-pastor, wife, mother and the product of a large family.
She is an avid blogger at kishasdailydevotional.com and social media poster where she utilizes her gifts to encourage others to tap into their God given talents. She won’t claim to be the best at what she does nor does she have all the answers, she is simply grateful to be used by God
This book was straight fire. Lakisha Johnson did not disappoint. Although, it was a little different than her usual books I couldn’t put it down. She put a spiritual spin on crazy and tossed it up. This thriller kept me on edge and as much as I wanted to stop it was impossible to do so. I give it five stars.
Lakisha Johnson has truly left my head spinning! After diving into Infidelity, I found myself just staring at the wall, trying to process it all. This gripping tale revolves around Lauren Daniels, and trust me, you’ll want to buckle up and enjoy the wild journey ahead. I was so blown away that I had to share the excitement with my sisters, insisting they read it too—I've got to discuss this drama with someone!
Totally different from what is usually written by this author but the plot, scheme, and suspense made me not want to put the book down. I could visualize everything. It was like watching a lifetime Saturday movie without the commercials, lol. I know for sure this one will earn a few awards. Even though this genre was different, I think it is one you have mastered, and you should consider writing more of such. As usual good job!
I can tell the author worked hard to create a story that was full of drama and jaw dropping moments. I feel that I would’ve enjoyed the story better if it was developed more in the beginning. I didn’t feel like I really knew them before the drama started. It’s hard to root for people you’re not connected with. I did, however, like how she showed that Christians mess up. They aren’t perfect but they keep striving to be the best they can be.
Title: Infidelity Author: Lakisha Johnson Publisher: Twins Write 2 Reviewed By: Arlena Dean Rating: Five Review: "Infidelity" by Lakisha Johnson
My Opinion:
What a read 'Infidelity was that had me shaking my head all the way through this story. This story involves lesbians, so if this isn't you kind of read...stop here. There were so many twists and turns that you will be left wondering who the culprit is. I will say there was a lot of craziness in the story, but I was a little shocked at who was involved in making Lauren's life so miserable. Be ready for a novel that is so full of drama, deceitfulness, betrayal, and suspense. This was one of those reads that 'what you do in the dark will come to light in the end.' I enjoyed seeing how, in the story that you could see that God hears one's prayers and will protect as he did for Lauren.
Wow. Ok..gathering thoughts. I guess the main thing to remember is God loves us all. And He's the only one that can judge us. This book read like a Lifetime movie with so much drama and suspense that sometimes I had to re-read parts. So many questionable characters that I didn't know who the good guys were. That wasn't a bad thing; it added to the suspense. More than infidelity, this book addressed same sex marriage, mental illness, betrayal and more, while fitting God into the equation. The suspense was real - my heart pounded and sometimes I had to stop reading and other times I couldn't stop swiping. All making for a great read that I wholeheartedly recommend.
This is by far one of my favorite authors, so it saddens me that I couldn’t finish this book. As soon as I realized Lauren was married to a woman....I lost interest. I’m sure ur trying to make all feel included so u decided to pen this story. That is so disappointing. I’m not judging. However im sick of it being shoved down our throats. Whenever I see Lakisha Johnson I automatically download....no more. The Bible tells us not to be conformed to the ways of this world. U don’t have to conform to have an audience. Ur gifts will make room for u. God bless.
All I can say is WOW! Another dynamic book by an awesome woman of God. A riveting page turner that keeps you wondering who was the culprit? I thought I knew, however, I was totally taken aback. Every character could have been a suspect except the one that I never would've suspected. Man this was definitely a mind blower. Kudos to the phenomenal author and Pastor LaKisha Johnson for expounding on her gift from God. If you haven't read any of her books, you are doing yourself a grave injustice.
I picked up Infidelity expecting Christian fiction, but it didn’t read that way to me at all. The themes, character choices, and overall tone felt inconsistent with what I would consider faith-based storytelling. Instead of offering spiritual depth, accountability, or redemption, the story leaned more into drama without meaningful resolution. I also struggled to connect with the characters, which made it hard to stay engaged. Overall, this book just wasn’t for me and didn’t meet my expectations for Christian fiction.
OMG, the author did a great job writing this book. This book is a little different than her normal books but she didn't disappoint. This book was full of drama and suspense that kept you on the edge of your seat. There are several consequences when you have an affair? Lauren and Noah quickly find out that what you do in the dark will come to the light. I look forward to reading more books by this author.
She did it again. Keisha Johnson is one of my favorite authors and she never seems to disappoint. This novel was different from her others but still well written. It was like watching a movie. Who would have thought one act of infidelity would lead to do much drama. So glad that God hears our prayers and protect us. The twists in this story are good. I would definitely recommend.
This is my 20th book that I have read by this author. She never ceases to astonish me, she has delighted, preached, taught and prayed. Each book has a message. This book is the most suspenseful yet. I have read, "The Pastor's Admin", " The Forgotten Wife" and the "Marriage Bed" but this one is the most unpredictable and suspenseful. The women characters were crazy, crazy. Thank God for second chances!
Pastor Lakisha, Another home run!!!!! God has truly been using you to get the Word to His people!!!! By any means necessary!!! I wasn't sure how I would get thru this one because of the same sex marriage. But, the story was intriguing and held my attention, and at the end the character marries the baby's father. I didn't judge but God hasn't judged me in my wrong doings. He loves me and forgives me! Thanks again Pastor Lakisha.
Enjoyed this book as much as your other books. Did not expect it to end as it did. It held my interest to the point I finished it in2 days. Was glad Nathan and Lauren able to get get together after all that transpired in there life. I enjoy reading Lakisha's books and following her on Facebook. Continue what you're going and may the lord continue to bless you and your life.
This novel was one of your best. The plots had me totally wondering if anyone besides the pastors really and truly served God. Nevertheless, the plots thickened and pleas from Lauren reached God's ears because he heard, forgave, and helped her. This was a phenomenal novel.
This author has impressed me with the ministry in the writing. I am an avid reader and have read many books , but this book has really touched me. You can never know what is going on in a persons mind and this book really opens up the doors of what can be happening in any one home or family. The book was intelligently written. All praises! 🙏
This book is a little different from what I have read by this author in the past. The characters were off the chain cray cray and you didn't know who to believe. There were a lot of plot twist that at times I was like wow, didn't expect or see that coming. Cassandra H.
This right here was a page turner for sure. The things people will do to get what they think they deserve. This was a great read with plot twists and turns, I felt I had it figured it out but was half right and this what makes a book good in my opinion. It kept me interested and on edge, I had to know how it was going to turn out.
I chose this rating because the plot held your interest. Wow, it took me a minute to figure out who was behind what was going on with Lauren. I had part of it right, the second part through me for a loop. There is a lesson to be learned here! Don't play with people's feelings.
This was a great story. I thought it was a suspence story at first. The storyline between Noah and Lauren was well written. I wondered if they would get together. Who was causing all the problems? Who was causing Lauren so much stress? What happens in this life story about love and infidelity!
This book was good but Sam and Natalie both threw me for a loop . I was not expecting that outcome Lakisha Johnson will have you believing one thing and it will be something completely different. So happy that things turned out the way it did for Lauren and Noah, they both deserve happiness.
This was a great read from beginning to end.I could not put it down. The characters were interesting and they kept me interested.there was never a dull moment. The ending was greater I never saw it comming. I would recommend this book to others. Keep writing, I enjoy a good long story.
I enjoyed this book. Never saw the angle. I would think something and then have another twist. Decisions we make impact our life tremendously. God was the only one that could help Lauren. Natalie was a mess. In my opinion Sam was too messy...At least now Lauren and Noah can protect their family. Thank you🥰 #joynookbookclub
This is unlike any other Christian fiction book I've ever read. When I found out who "Sam" was I was caught off guard, but because I trust the author I kept reading. There are some crazy twists in here and the ending isn't predictable. Oh and the cover is dope as well! This would make a good film (but not for Pureflix) 😆
I did not think I would enjoy this book when I first started reading it but I continued and I am so glad I did. There were a lot of twists and turns and it had me guessing who the villain of who the villain were. To be honest I got it all wrong. Lauren was blessed to have Sam in her life.
I have read several books by Lakisha Johnson and I am not disappointed one second. This story about Lauren her Twin sister Natalie, her wife Samantha and her one night stand that turn into more . Lots of drama wow never see those twist coming. Good read Lakisha Johnson. Keep in giving. Lovely read.
Wow...one act of infidelity leads to multiple acts of infidelity! This story has so many twists and turns, all the reader can do is keep reading! Just when I thought I had it all figured out, BAM another monkey wrench! You have to read this book!!!
My goodness! She did it again! Amazing author. .. Lauren risks literally everything because of one decision! Her marriage, her family and even her life is all on the line.
This book left me speechless it was so good. Who would have thought Natalie was so evil and crazy. The outcome of this book left me with my mouth open. As always great read
