Welcome to Mystic Island Home to supernaturals of all types, it’s protected by a warding spell, somewhere off the coast of Galveston, Texas. The men, known as Warriors, and the women, known as Guardians, protect the human race from enemies they often know nothing about and, based on the fact that no one except supernaturals know about Mystic Island, they’re obviously successful. Children grow up and are taught about their abilities as well as the responsibilities they carry toward humans. They’re loved and cherished, maybe even spoiled somewhat, as most kids are. But someone out there has a nefarious plan. A group of rogue supernaturals are kidnapping human women, getting them pregnant and allowing them to give birth before they spirit them away to be raised. Their goal? To overtake the humans and take over the world. Vaughn, a social worker, as well as her best friend, Shyla, are working tirelessly to locate the missing half-human, half-paranormal children and return them to the island so they can be raised to become what they’re meant to—either Warriors or Guardians—in order to protect the humans. Trigger, the new sheriff in town, has his own battles he’s facing. The issue among the island is that somehow, some of the rogues are getting onto and off the island completely undetected. The other issue? The grizzly that resides within him is convinced that Vaughn is their mate. As the stakes mount higher, can Trigger find out who is betraying their kind and bring them to justice? Will they figure out a way to trace and track these children born in such dire circumstances and save them? Will Trigger’s bear win the argument with respect to Vaughn? Does Vaughn even want a mate herself?
Special Note: Each book in this series will deal with a specific couple (as is typical) although you might see hints of other couples, and one piece of the puzzle will be revealed. So, if there are things you don’t feel were addressed that were uncovered, rest assured, they’ll be covered in a future book! Happy reading; we hope you enjoy our foray into the supernatural!
I have been an avid reader for most of my life. When I was younger I used to sit and fill spiral notebooks full of stories. As I got older, I took the jobs needed for raising my boys as a single mom, until I met my now amazing husband. I have stopped working in the last three years and started promoting authors, then I blogged and reviewed for authors, which lead me down the path to writing and creating characters and stories. I love creating behind the scenes with my writing getting to use my imagination and write the story as it comes to me. My youngest is now a senior in High School leaving me with some spare time on my hands to be filled. I am loving the people I am meeting and the support system I have found. Vaughn, a social worker and a snow leopard shifter, is not impressed with Trigger, the island’s new sheriff and a bear shifter, when she first meets him, even though she is drawn to him. As the story progresses an unexpected surprise comes along, they can only fight their attraction for so long, and just when they think they have most of the puzzle pieces, they find out that the puzzle is larger than they thought. Finding the Lost is a great supernatural romance read with fun characters, a thrilling mystery, and the ability to leave the reader on edge.
I read this book with my Kindle Unlimited subscription and I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
I absolutely loved this first book of this series. The storyline was on point. The issues with the missing children. The 2 babies being dropped in their laps. And of course Vaughn & Trigger finding that they are mates and to not fight it anymore, made the bond stronger for helping the case. I can’t wait to find out what happens with the other mates couples in this series and to see if they can solve the mystery behind who all is causing the problems.
This new series has a little of everything and everything that I love in a good story. Fated mates, shifters, Vamps, Witches a great underlying story and most of all characters you become invested in. I cant recommend these authors enough and look forward to seeing how the story plays out in future books
This story has several twists and turns. Who is head of taking the shifter babies? You have more questions about why are they really taking the babies. What was written on the note given to Trigger? Family isn't about being related by blood. Family is about who you trust and love.
Loved this book by Liberty Parker & Darlene Tallman! It was enchanting, no pun intended! I had so much fun reading it. The characters were great and I couldn’t figure out who was causing the trouble, I loved it. Can’t wait does the next book!
As with all the books these authors write, this new series is fabulous. The Characters well thought out and the plot strong. I highly recommend this book! And I can’t wait to see what’s next!

I loved this first book in this new paranormal series and the authors that wrote this story did a great job. Vaughn is a social worker and Trigger is the sheriff and Vaughn is drawn to him from the beginning. The storyline and characters were great with many puzzle pieces being figured out. There are unanswered questions; cannot wait for the next book in this series.
