Pixel Ate is actually a team! We’re a mom and dad, who live in the Pacific Northwest. We have five kids ages 10 all the way down to 1. We don’t like to brag, but we think our kids are pretty great.
We live on a little bit of land that we’re slowly turning into a farm. We like having lots of space outside to run and play and we’re excited to fill it with some animals. Yay for goats!
Everyone in our family loves reading—well, the baby loves chewing on books—so we thought, why not write our own stories? It’s super fun creating worlds and characters and adventures and even more fun when we know other people are enjoying them. Plus, it’s extra special when our kids get to help. We really did have a cat named Bruce Lee the Scar-Faced Ninja Attack Kitty From Japan (Who Smells Like Poop) who got himself into all kinds of sticky situations, but sadly, he is no longer with us. He truly was a great kitty and he truly did fart a lot. Now we have an equally great kitty named Tater Tot and she is a lot less stinky, but just as loved.
Loved the book. What about a Minecraft Lego series? This is review from my son.
I thought this was a great read to read together for our bedtime story time. My son is 8, loved reading this. Thank you for the time we got to spend together reading.
Wow! This book was awesome! I really liked the book, and it had me hooked from the beginning! Okay, on to the first part of the review: -----plot holes----- Cats don't actually take fall damage! This could just be because of the fact that the cat was treated as a player, but I'm just pointing this out. I don't have any more plot holes. On to the next part! -----ideas----- Idea number one: Please find a village! It would make it a lot more fun. I have only read book one, so I don't know if they find a village in later books. If they do, just ignore this idea. On to ratings!! -----ratings----- Cover: 199383748292984747282883/10 (the cover was awesome!) Length:10/10 (kept me entertained for a while!) Quality: 9/10 (this part didn't get ten out of ten because of the cat thing. otherwise, it definitely would have gotten ten out of ten.) Action: 29393736829293938377281/10 (wHoa) I can't think of anything else. All in all: 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999/40. 100000 stars!! P.S. please read the P.P.S. P.P.S. I make a lot of P.S.es. P.P.P.S. see? Bai
I bought this for my kids, but I read it too. I really enjoyed it! I laughed a ton while reading it! I couldn’t find time to read it in one sitting and I looked forward to picking it up again to see what happened next to the fun little blocky family. I loved reading a chapter book with a family working together instead of kids with no parents around for the whole story. Great read. Well written. Great pacing in third person. Kids love it too!
I got a little over dramatic though.I thank you and a lot more authors(Minecraft) for inspiring me to write a story.I will not write it here though.just in case... I’ve gotta question:how do you get inspired for more ideas? Anyways, this you must read.it is action packed and ez to read(unlike my review lol).bye!
I loved this book because it had all the elements of Minecraft and all of the fun stuff about the game. It had some really great elements, but I wish that there was more stuff that was more accurate to Minecraft, like how like the monsters burn in the daylight before they die; they don’t just disappear. But you have creative liberty since this is an unofficial Minecraft book, and also it is your book so you get to do whatever you want. Overall, this book is great and I loved it. - Written by Lorie’s daughter (age 10)
This was an amazing twist to Minecraft, but in an incredibly funny way! Full of drama and lots of over exaggeration, it was a book that brightened my day! Bruce was very adorable and I loved how the parents were total NOOBS!! That just made the story more fun! Instead of kids relying on their parents, it's the other way around! A very good read!!
Of your going to make a Minecraft book make it right, cars don't take FALL damege! But otherwise it's great!👍 I love the concept of this book! I am a big minecraft fan!
THIS! BOOK! IS! AWESOME!!! CAN YOU PUT-oops sorry forgot to turn off caps lock-my story in the codex of seeds pls? I’ll edit review once I think of my story.
I started reading this to my kids at bedtime and they have begged for it every night. They love the idea of being trapped in one of their favorite worlds and be able to live that vicuriously through the characters in this book in this book next best thing
We had a blast reading this to our grandkids who enjoy mindcraft. It had the kids trying to figure out how to handle each circumstance the family found itself in. It’s funny as well. Can’t wait for book 2!
I read this book as an adult writer interested in possibly creating my own Minecraft book and wanting to get the lay of the land, but I really genuinely enjoyed it! Very cute stuff with the kids explaining the game to confused parents and some jokes that really hit for me.
I wish I could actually do this too 😅 but ✨awesome✨book! I,in fact, am working on becoming a author one day **Currently deciding from astronaut, artist, singer or author**
Mom, Dad, Kate, and Jack woke up in their beds in the middle of a field with the family cat, Bruce. If that wasn’t enough, the entire family seems to have been imported into Minecraft! The kids have played a bit, but not much. They need to figure a few things out before night time when the monsters come out.
I read this book to my 7 year old son one or two chapters at a time. He absolutely loved it! He would always beg for just one more chapter. These are smaller books, but they also come in a 4 pack of ebooks.
fun book set in minecraft. My kids busted a gut several times. Content us clean and characters are relatable. Will be looking for more in the series to read aloud with the kids.
For an adult not familiar with the game Minecraft this story helps explains the game more for me. Very creative to create this wonderful story of family who end up working together and parents willing to learn from youngsters. Great for 8 year old on up.to adults.
