Sleeping with a Tri-State Killer

Rate this book
In this psychological thriller, we meet a smart, sexy, ambitious defense lawyer, Kyrie Garret. At 30 years old, she’s more accomplished than most her age. She owns a law firm, drives a two hundred-thousand-dollar car, owns two homes, and has a bank account that never drops below eight figures. The only thing missing in Kyrie’s life is a man to keep her company at night. During a camping trip with her friends, Kyrie has a scary run in with a mysterious man lurking in the woods. After saving her from what Kyrie was sure was Big Foot, she insisted on showing her gratitude. After getting to know the stranger, Kyrie believes she may have finally found a man that stimulates her mentally, physically, and emotionally. Little to her knowledge, her newfound love interest has a second identity that’s even more dangerous and deadly than big foot. All throughout high school and college, Zane Creed was described as outgoing, a ladies’ man and the life of the party. He was on a fast track straight to the NFL. That’s until he was diagnosed with CTE and had to hang up his football jersey. As devastating as it was to see his dreams go up in flames, Zane didn’t let that stop him from becoming successful. After graduating from college, Zane started his own business that earned him the title of Tri-State’s most eligible, billionaire bachelor, but that didn’t last too long. Zane soon met the love of his life, Imani Drake. Life couldn’t get better, but it could get worse, and it did. One night during a home invasion, Zane’s life changed for the worst, sending him on a deadly, downward spiral of revenge and murder; earning him the new title of the Tri-State Killer.

This was my kind of romance. Kyrie finds love with an unlikely person. I thought maybe the killer would be some Ted Bundy-esque killer. But nooooo, the author had to make him likeable and sexy. I really enjoyed the flow of this story. It wasn’t bogged down by unnecessary angst or sex. Granted, I would have liked the connection between the two highlighted more to explain how they fell in love in a month. But, it was still an excellent story for me. 4.5

This is a must read

After reading the title of this book and seeing the cover a couple of months ago I've finally gotten around to reading it. All I can say is I'm in love with a Tri-State Killer. Zane I'll gladly deal with a guy like this. After everything he's been threw and not get any type of justice. I feel what he did was justified. Its not like he was going around killing any and everybody. Not one time did he try to hurt Kyrie even after they crossed paths in the woods. Kyrie brought happiness back into Zane life when he least expected it and he deserved that after what happened to him. In return he gave that same love back to Kyrie.

Heart stolen by a killer

Great storyline. Even though the author revealed the killer early on, it was interesting seeing how he moved through life with so many different facets. Some of the details were rather gruesome, but I loved the juxtaposition of his caring, sensitive side.
This book needs another edit; I would normally rate a book with this many errors 3 stars but I loved the creativity. Worth reading.

A great story

Although there are many reasons for another book. Lurid is an attorney she could've gotten him off. What about her friends. He should've told them (the friends) about that night. I'd love to hear more from them. Please continue this story.

I didn’t like the writing at all, why is the main character who is a lawyer speaking as if she is uneducated.
