Beneath the surface of our world, something ancient is watching. For eons, the Ouroboros have shaped humanity’s fate—erasing memories, rewriting lives, and orchestrating the rise and fall of empires for their own secret purpose. No one suspects their presence. No one escapes their grasp. Until Hunter Persefoni. When his family vanishes without a trace, Hunter is thrust into a labyrinth of hidden agendas and unspeakable power. Hunted by forces that erase the past and manipulate the future, he must unravel a mystery older than civilization itself.

I made it to about 20% and understood almost nothing. The book is written terribly: random whispers, a portal, a murder, a suicide, angels, ghosts, and just random numbers thrown in. To make matters worse, the prose is so confusing that it's absolutely impossible to tell what is a metaphor and what is actually happening. I'm giving it two stars strictly for the potentially interesting premise. I was actually curious to see where the author was going with it, but I won't be finishing this due to the author's absolute disrespect for the reader.
Wow! This was an interesting read! I've not read many books about aliens, but this is not like any other book I've read. I never would have expected the plot twists and turns in this story. I felt hatred, yet compassion (if that makes sense) for the main character. It definitely kept my interest the whole way through. I won't give any spoilers, but I did find myself rooting for the main character in the end. Definitely a good read.
