“All of that is cool and all, but love doesn’t pay the bills. Love doesn’t buy me jewelry. Love doesn’t get me on private jets. Love doesn’t get me everything I want, nor what I deserve, but you know what gets me that… what’s between my legs.” -Jordan Kennedy. Jordan Kennedy; loathes commitment. KL Wolf; only knows commitment. Two people who are on opposite sides of what they deem a relationship to be can’t seem to stay away from or keep their hands off each other.
This couple took me through it! Jordan and KL were too prideful to admit they loved and needed each other. Initially, I didn’t like Jordan. She was self-centered, shallow, selfish, spoiled, stubborn, and childish. But, her last real relationship shaped the way she treated men and why she won't commit to anyone. So, you get a clear understanding why she is the way she is. KL is the complete opposite of Jordan. Lord, I love me some KL. He was an amazing father, ambitious, and sexy as hell. KL went through a lot at a young age. After spending seven years in jail, he just wants to turn his life around and do better for his daughter. Jordan is discombobulated because, KL is definitely not a man of means but she’s still very much attracted to him. The Time Treasured is a story of opposites attracting. Jordan and KL couldn’t be more different but, their explosive chemistry and intense attraction just couldn’t be denied. Jordan almost missed out on a good thang with her foolishness and lies. I wanted to fight her when she lied to KL about that dude from work. Like, girl what are you doing?!!! After some much needed self-assessment, Jordan finally found her common sense and stopped lying to herself about her love for KL and realized he was a good man. The author didn’t mention anything about Camilla at the end of this book and it’s been almost a year since it was release. So, I’m assuming there’s not going to be a book three on her. I’m a little annoyed about that. How do you have a series about three sisters but, only give two of them a book?!!! Camilla’s character didn’t play a large role in either book so, honestly, it’s not that surprising she wouldn’t get her own story. But, the author teased us with her marital problems so, now I’m invested and I want to know what’s going on. The Time Treasured was a good book. It gives you a lesson about love and choices. You can honestly have it all and still be alone.
Jordan is the middle Kennedy sister and gave all of the middle child vibes! She was spoiled and pretentious and snooty and irritating af!! After experiencing heartbreak and betrayal during her college years, Jordan decided that men were only good for paying her mortgage and putting her 🐱 on their face! If the conversation was even remotely geared towards commitment, it was a resounding hell no for her!
KL is fresh out of prison after the ultimate sacrifice led to a seven year bid! I mean I fell in love with KL the moment I read about what led to his imprisonment because if a man doesn’t love me like KL, what are we even doing?! KL is looking to get his feet firmly planted on the ground and be the father that his daughter deserves! Despite having a huge support system, KL takes being a man seriously and isn’t cool with handouts! Thankfully those that love him help him to see that it’s ok to accept help!
When these two get together their sexual chemistry is A1 👌🏽 chefs kiss 💋 just what the doctor ordered 😉 but because KL does not represent what she looks for in a man on paper, she’s resistant when it comes to giving him a real chance. Compromise is not in her vocabulary AT ALL!! At least not until she realizes she has something to loose!
This was another age gap story in the Kennedy series but the reverse! Jordan was the older of the two but you wouldn’t know it from the way she acted this entire book! She was sooooo mature in thought and action and the way she was living was foul af! She was definitely humbled and I had no sympathy when her ish hit the fan especially when she didn’t think it stunk to begin with!
It took me longer to get into this couples journey than it did during the first book but I did appreciate how everything came together in the end!
Okay so here's the thing. I loved KL. Love loved loved him. He was an amazing father, ambitious, read as sexy as anything and he was definitely a winner. Jordan...I was not a fan of her. The longer the book carried on with her antics, the more I was over her. Childish as ever. I understand being hurt by your past, but the way she acted was a complete mess.
I have mixed feelings about this book. I'm still not a fan of Jordan's. She's a lying, selfish person & nothing about the ending of this book changed my mind. Speaking of, the ending felt so abrupt to me. I'm not sure if the author plans to continue the series with Camille's story, but I'm invested enough to read it. I need something to get the bad taste Jordan left in my mouth. My 3 ⭐️ rating is due to KL & Kendalynn.
Jordan pissed me off damn near the entire book but it was sooooo good until the ending. I feel like it was a little rushed but then again, I’m a greedy reader. I always want more from these authors 😂 Plus I wanted KL to make her spoiled ass grovel a little more. But great read nonetheless!!
Jordan is a heartless pit bull who uses her vagina to finesse men( I’m not opposed to this). Due to a devastating heartbreak during her younger years she now hates the thought of commitment, submission and prefers situationships instead of relationships. She needs to be in control of her love life because she feels that her father controls all other aspects of her life. She is prideful and envy’s her sister Yuli for paving her own way outside of the family tradition. Coming out of a scandalous situation( listen 😒) she meets young single father KL and they enter into a situationship. I immediately took a liking to KL. Even though he spent some time in prison, he doesn’t allow that to hold him back from making strides to become a force in society. He is an awesome father and definitely not one for BS. Truthfully, KL and Jordan have explosive chemistry and the potential to be great, but Jordan is holding pain from from her past that aids in her horrible decisions throughout this book. I sat on this review for months because it pained me to write it. When I met Jordan in “The Time Shared” I just knew that her story was going to fun and exciting . Nothing could have prepared me for the shock of this book. Jordan was just horrible. I understand being hurt by your past, but the way she behaved was childish and contradictory. She continuously judged and scorned KL for not being financially stable yet she humiliates her family and tarnish career for a lifestyle she could’ve provide for herself. Make it make sense? What frustrated me most was the fact that the entire book was full with Jordan’s dreadful decisions and shallow behavior. Not once during this story did she take accountability for the shit show she created. Up until the end of the book, she still sat in the victim mentally like she was wronged. I didn’t like that- AT ALL! To be honest, she didn’t deserve KL nor his daughter. She needed to be alone and work on her problems from her past. Jordan as a character lacked depth. She was content in staying in her mess and giving the bare minimum to herself, family and KL. Overall, this book has some highlights I did appreciate but as a whole I was truly disappointed. However, I will continue to support the author
The Time Treasured (Kennedy Sisters #2) by Endiya Carter is about doctor Jordan Kennedy and custodian KL Wolf. Jordan is coming out of a messy situationship when she meets KL. He’s coming out of jail and is a young single father. When Jordan meets KL she decides he’s fine 🔥 but they don’t match. Jordan doesn’t trust men nor does she like compromise. But it’s completely understandable her ex (first heartbreak) is trash and the man from the situationship she just got out of trash. KL is not one for games, he calls Jordan out at every opportunity, he tells her exactly what she needs to hear. These two are dynamite 🧨 they have explosive chemistry and when they aren’t speaking the tension is thick. KL and Jordan are so hot together, their sexual chemistry is off the charts 🌶 ! Their relaxed times are sweet, like when they watch movies and cook dinner together but when Jordan is overthinking it everything goes haywire. KL might be younger than her but he’s the mature one, oh boy is Jordan hardheaded! I like that allow KL is of lower status than Jordan that he is ambitious, a hard worker through and through. Jordan had me stressed out 😰 She kept making poor decisions. She did eventually work on herself, I just wish we had gotten to see it. I love the relationship that she built with KL’s daughter Kendalynn ☺️P.s. I wonder what’s up with big sister Camila Kennedy and her husband 👀
I loved this book. With the second installment of the Kennedy’s sisters Jordan and Mr. K.L wolf were so cute. I thought Fabian was my lil boo thang but I got a thing for his cousin( K.L) I can keep it all in the family. The book was really cute Jordan got on my nerves for a bit but she got her act together. If your looking for a cute little romance with some razzle dazzle read this !
Jordan and KL took ME through it, too prideful to admit that they needed and loved each other. I wouldn’t have changed a thing though, I think those growing pains of finding true love is worth it. I am looking forward to the next installment of the Kennedy sisters! Good read.
📖 Summary: Dr. Jordan Kennedy is spoiled and pretentious to a T. She didn’t really understand her worth if it wasn’t about money or nice things she wasn’t trying to hear it. She meets KL Wolf the Janitor at the hospital she works at.
They find themselves actually liking each other but their worlds are so different.
💖Characters: Men these days wanted you to submit to them but didn’t have anything worth submitting to.
Jordan DID NOT AT ALL DESERVE KL WOLF! BUT she did grow on me a little. I understood she had a reasons to feeling how she did towards relationships. Her messing with men with a certain lifestyle and net worth didn't give her an excuse for how she treated KL.
“I’m not asking you to settle for me because I won’t be able to give you what you need financially for at least a while. A few expensive dinners here and there. Maybe an expensive vacation once or twice a year. Help you pay a few bills. Give you all the love and shit you deserve and more. I can give you that. I wouldn’t mind giving you that, but neither me nor any man is going to give you all of that and be serious while you’re like this,”
KL just finished a 7 year prison bid for something everyone understood was the Ultimate sacrifice. He is such a nice guy just trying to get his life together to build something for himself and his daughter. He is younger than Jordan but the way he put her in her place and taught her ass some life lessons I was so proud LOL.
💭My thoughts: I did like the love story between the two characters, I didn’t like how long it took me to get into their story though, the spice? Whoa KL was letting Jordan know these other dudes not giving you this long stroke like this LOL 😆 this was my least favorite from the 2 books I the series. Yuli & Sayi Still hold the top spot and loved how we got updates on their relationship through the book too.
I don’t know what to make of this book. As always, this author writes a great page-turning, emotional, funny, dramatic messy romance that you can’t put down and she’s rapidly becoming one of my favourites for that. The hero, KL, is fantastic in every way from his back story and the sacrifices he made for the love of his life to the life he’s creating for his daughter now that he’s free and able to do so. He has a great sense of self and self-worth that meant even though he was the “younger man,” he was confident and alpha AF. The “older woman” heroine on the other hand, Jordan…. was incredibly unlikeable and the backstory she was given of a past heartbreak made absolutely no sense in justifying or excusing her entitled, weirdly self-destructive while being selfish behaviour. She was a love rat for no absolute reason other than the fact she wanted a man to pay for the things she could easily afford for herself without having to contribute anything but sex- not time or emotion or care or mutual support or anything. I just didn’t understand her as a heroine or think KL deserved someone like that. I think this is an author that knows how to walk the very fine line in romance between imperfect toxic mess and irredeemable toxic mess and she very much tightrope-walked that line in this book.
This was subpar but still good. Definitely a 3 1/2 🌟
This was ok, subpar but still good. I mean it was nothing exciting and actually it felt more forced than anything. It’s still warrant a 3 1/2 stars at least but couldn’t go any higher because the content was blah! Jordan is a self centered, selfish, spoiled brat who in my views deserved to be alone and miserable. Everything she explained didn’t make sense at all and the way she played men was very harsh and evil. Then you found the sweetest man ever and at least he wasn’t weak at all and of course a bae through and through. To me the story didn’t move at all because it was just a selfish, sad, boring g story but having Yuli involved and crazy dad was a plus. Kendalynn was just too much and can some one tell me the real name of KL? His government name at least. I surely hope that Camilla, if she will have a story is way much better but with this ending I truly wish to hear how these two continues in life. Finally how do you have a love of your life but can love another? How? Doesn’t make sense at all
First of all the beginning started off pretty decent! However, by the last few chapters I rolled my eyes so much I thought they would get stuck! Jordan was the absolute most stuck up, bougie, sadity, whiney, cry baby, selfish female I’ve ever read about. She was childish and did not behave as if she was a physician. Her behavior and decision making skills were awful and her by the end of the boo she was still as shallow as she was in the beginning. I loved her parents up until the ending of this book. Her dad was no better than her because as a retired MD he had no control over himself either. The ending of this was so rushed and had no epilogue and to be honest I was ready for it to be over anyway so none was needed. The only likeable characters were Yuli, and Kendalynn. I even liked Fabian because he could see the train wreck Jordan was from a mile away. Gave it 2 stars because I laughed at Kendalyn so much.
I had been anticipating this book for some time and it was more than I could ever imagine. Mrs. Carter has done it again wrote a masterpiece. This book just felt so familiar, it was easy to read and grasp. The characters just gave you that down-home feeling. I was glad that Yuli and Sayi were included throughout this book so I can get an update on their lives.
KL and Kennedy had to go through a lot of drama on both parts but they attained their true love for each other. It was worth all of the heartaches and headaches.
This was a great book with very smooth transitioning throughout including bits and pieces of everyone. I am now looking forward to the next sister or aunt whoever comes first. I am also anticipating an update on KL and Kennedy. I am ready for the family, career, and wedding between them.
Jordan had a very bad experience in a relationship when she was younger, so this made her only want to be with men on her own terms. KL was just released from jail after 7 year and on his first day of the job he met Jordan and sparks flew. After meeting KL, Jordan didn't think she would fall for him, but she did. Jordan and KL became great friends until they crossed the line and they both fell more for each other. Jordan didn't want to be in a relationship, but the more time with KL gave her what she needed and she accepted it. When KL found out what Jordan was doing, he walked away and that devastated her. Working on herself, Jordan and KL got their HEA. This was a great read, from the beginning to.the end. KL was such a good man, he always protected what he lived and it caused him 7 years of his life. He was just what Jordan needed and it showed. KL helped Jordan become a better her. I loved the relationship between Jordan and KL daughter Kendalynn. I wanted more of this story. I need to go read book 1 in this series, but this was a great start!! Excellent Read!!!
WOW!!! What a rollercoaster this book has been. Jordan was annoying and made me want to shake some sense into her. The dealings with a married man was not the way to go and showed how she really valued herself. All the material gifts in the world are not going to make things better. It took her actually developing feelings for KL that had her in a frenzy. I was glad KL kept it real with her and didn't play her games. It took Jordan being embarrassed and at her lowest point to realize the mistake she made by not looking past the surface of things but truly what lies within the heart. It good they were able to come to an understanding and move forward with the relationship they were building.
I picked this book up as a natural follow to the first book. Id say its 2.5-3 stars. The book began ok, but the two main characters are honestly just not great. KL is 24, and spent basically the previous decade in prison, but somehow has the emotional superiority and intelligence to constantly preach at/tell Jordan exactly why she is the way she is. She is a doctor, who is incredibly not self-aware and magically a light bulb turns on and she realizes what her issues are. The immediate assumptions made about him sexually due to him being in prison were disappointing, and it was done by multiple characters. All in all, this story could’ve have been flushed out better and highlighted real issues in the community but fell a bit flat.

I liked KL a lot and of course the cameos from Fabian. I’m honestly on the fence about Jordan and I didn’t like her as much as I thought I would. The story reminded me a lot of his weekend special and the overuse of their names was slightly distracting. I really really like this author and I wanted to love this book but it wasn’t as put together as book one. I didn’t feel their chemistry as much and it was a lot of back and forth even up to the very end. It honestly felt rushed at the end.
This series was everything you needed to hear to know your worth!! Jordan had it all except her self esteem. The damage caused by a young woman misguided direction caused pain so deep she was unable to process it. Ryan is the scum underneath the earth and Dr.Kennedy, the dad should have touched him. KL, Lord I don't know how perfect this man can be but we'll just take him packaged just the way he is. This is a lesson in love and choices. You can honestly have it all and be alone. A must read.
KL Wolf was a good man. KL Wolf went to prison for seven years at the age of seventeen, but for the most altruistic of reasons. Dr. Jordan Kennedy was a woman in pain with a beautiful facade. Dr. Jordan Kennedy had an affair for seven years with a colleague that she had no feelings for, but she loved the things his money bought for her, because that was all he was good for. Dr. Jordan Kennedy was high maintenance. KL Wolf and Dr. Jordan Kennedy were like oil and water, but they were meant to be...
Jordan stressed me out from start to finish. She was moody, selfish and played games til the very end. I believe in my heart of hearts KL could do much better but that heart wants what it wants and that’s the beauty of books. No matter how unlikeable a character is a good writer makes it an entertaining ride til the bitter end. Endiya Carter got it right with this book. We don’t always fall in love with the main characters. Sometimes they’re going to work our nerves but there’s beauty and lessons in imperfect characters.
Jordan was very annoying for me 😂😂. In the beginning I did not understand why she kept playing with KL feelings and acting dodgy but once her story was revealed it made perfect sense. However I still was not her fan lol. KL Wolfe was a real man! A man who didn’t mince words or play games. KL was the perfect level of dominate to not play with Jordan and also he was so smooth all the other men trying to get under his skin ended up madder at home after he opened his mouth lol. I thought KL was perfect and I wasn’t sure Jordan deserved him lol but I hope she does right by my man 🤣🤣😝…
KL and Jordon took me thru some changes! I had to take a break between pages like they did. Their families were solid and supportive...those enemies were very messy....I still think that Jor’s ex-Ryan needs a thorough beat-down as well as a few others. Whew....I’m glad KL and Jor worked it out. This was the 2nd book that I have read by Ms. Carter. So far she is solid with her ability to tell a story that we can all read and enjoy!
Besides Jordan getting on my damn nerves throughout the story, it was a good story. Jordan was way too childish and wishy-washy to be 32 years old! Sis didn’t even have a good explanation for the whole Dr. Carl situation. KL on the other hand, was way more mature. If I was him, I would have walked away from her and her drama. I loved how the Kennedy sisters talked to on another. Their conversations with each other was hilarious.
Jor really took that dang long to get it together!! Like ma’am why are you being this difficult?!?! I feel like all the girlies want is a KL & she was really playing in that man’s face AND with his emotions & he just kept giving her chance after chance. Dare I say…. I don’t feel like she deserved him 🙈🙈 this is the FIRST & ONLY time I’ve ever felt like the MMC deserved someone better than the FMC. but I love, love… so here we are.
Queen Endiya came strong with Ms. Jordan's story. Wooo child, I was on edge anticipating the next bomb to be dropped.
Carl was just trifling as hell, not taking away from Jordan's roll but that fool knew he what he was doing to her young behind. To flaunt it, he gave zero uck's about his wife, only him and what he wanted. She was crazy to allow it.
I loved me some KL, he is definitely bae goals. That man went through a loot at a young age and it didn't change him. He just wanted to love and be louder and have a better life for him and his daughter.
Jordan, Jordan, Jordan, smdh. That girl had me cursing her out and calling her bluff cause she was all over the place. I wanted to fight her when she lied to KL about that lame from work. She got what she deserved when it came to him, lol.
Yvette was just bitter and messy as hell. She knew what her husband was up to and stayed, smiled like the happy wife and got mad when he wanted to leave😂.
I love me some Dr. Kendall was real Dad goals. He didn't play about his family and went hard for his girls😂😂😂
I LOVED this story. KL was such a beautiful loving soul so wise beyond his years! And while I did not like Jordan for a good bit of the journey I better understood once the “why” was revealed and her evolution was well done! Kendalynn was adorable! Absolutely loved brand of sass. Great read!
I really enjoyed this Kennedy sisters book. Jordan and KL's story will take you through it mostly Jordan. Two people who have been through traumatic experiences and they're different reactions to them. Plus I also like how Mr. Kennedy doesn't mind putting his paws on someone for his daughters 😂. As always it was a pleasure reading this book.
As much as I loved KL is just as much as I disliked Jordan’s flaky neurotic self-centered self. KL deserved better than Jordan. Jordan did not have any redeeming qualities at all! She was trash! There wasn’t anything of substance about her. However, on a side note, it was nice to get an update on Yuli and Sayi. Now, that’s a perfectly matched couple.
