Londyn Skye is a comical, 43-year-old mother of two, ex-all-American collegiate athlete, million-mile lady trucker phenom, and a romance novel junkie! When she was a child, Londyn began creating stories in the fantasy world of her mind as a way to escape life’s troubles. As an adult, she decided to challenge herself to turn her comforting fantasies into a novel. That challenge led her to write The Prodigy Slave trilogy. Wanting the utmost quality for her readers, she has diligently worked to balance the saga with humor, drama, romance, unpredictable plots, and devious, neurotic characters that are equally as captivating as the erotic love scenes between the fascinating heroes and heroines. She has painstakingly painted her fantasies with words that she hopes will help readers to see the images just as beautifully as her unique mind does. Most importantly, she hopes that everyone will feel just as emotionally moved and inspired by the heroes and heroines in her love story.
London Skye who are you and what gave you the right to Write a story called The Prodigy Slave 😭😭😭. You made me cry joyous angry hurt and more. You deserve The #1 best writing author!!! OMG I love your spirit and how you transformed this Magical Story in such a manner that I can't even imagine. Levi the love you had for Maya and his baby girl. I cried so much over Levi and I broke down when took his life. I can't tell the readers about what happens in Book Three cause it caught me off guard. William Maya Waytt James Lily played such emotional impact here. But I will say this Amelia stay away from James. He kept his vows for 6 years of being faithful. London Skye you are the best.
This is not a frivolous story of a slave falling in love with her master, it's definitely not a case of Stockholm syndrome. It is the story of a love that began as innocently as children where color barriers and slavery haven't distorted their world yet. Lily and James fought for their love, as so many of our ancestors would most likely have done or we wouldn't be hear to voice our reviews. I felt every tear, every declaration of love, the forgiveness, and finally the acceptance. You have to go into this trilogy with an open mind, and a simple reality check. Was all slave master relationships like the ones portrayed? No, but can I see some true love coming out of all the hatred, violence, degradation, horror, yes. Can I see honest friendship forming between children blossoming to love? Yes. Do I believe in love at first sight overcoming all odds Yes. No matter how often it may have occurred, it brings humanity to an inhumane time. And that is what Lily and James story is about, loving someone through space and time, finding something beautiful in a world of ugliness. Surviving everything made to break you, and the power of forgiveness.
This was the perfect ending to the Trilogy. So happy with the extended epilogue. It just tied everything up nice and neat. This book isn't a light read. It deals with slavery, and the cruelty of the owners. It also deals with suicide and the family that gets left to pick up the pieces. It also deals with love and how love can truly change how people think and feel. Such an awesome book that takes place during and right after the Civil War. I was sad when this series ended. It is definitely an adult read due to the sexual content, which can be skipped over, and the fact that this book deals with suicide, which may not be appropriate for everyone. Can't wait to see what kind of series this author comes up with next.
I usually don't write reviews but this book series was amazing the author really made you feel like you were there with them I cried I laughed I was so emotional reading this series definitely worth reading being I an interracial marriage made me fell like If I was in there shoes omg love love these books the author is amazing👍
This series elicited so many emotions that when the finale was completed I was totally spent. I laughed, I cried both tears of joy and sadness. I experienced anger so strong it wasn't safe for me to leave my house. I absolutely loved this story. It deserves to be a on the big screen.
I read the series( 3 ) books I wanted Mary Jo to get seriously hurt, I hated she got away with murder. I could feel the love between James and Lily I went through so many emotions reading this series I love them all
I read all 3 parts and cried, laughed and was in suspense all the way. Should be filmed as a mini series. It’s that GOOD!! Bravo to you on this masterpiece!!!❤️
This was one of the most rollercoaster trilogy stories that I I've read and I've read many books. Loved that the author covered so many characters giving us the opportunity to see issues/decisions from different mindsets. Outstanding and w the story will stay with me.
Wow...Such love is unimaginable but sought after fiercely. I loved the way James never gave up, bot Lily, and equally the generational forever love between Maya and Levi. If we all could just have a taste of this kind of love, our time on this earth, any suffering endured, would've been worth it. Keep blessing us with these aspirational stories...Thank you
These three books are a must read if you love being captivated!
This historical fiction romance book covered a world that had every evil event, amazing friendships, repented enemies, sacrifices due to astonishing love, forgiveness, true justice and fantastic blessings in life, that comes from rewards by keeping your faith in your mind that God is true to His Word and that He is always on time when truth must be revealed. This series took my emotions through, I felt, all of those that a human being can have in a lifetime. I could not put it down for long and kept reading until the three book series was completed. A reader could not be disappointed in this author, Londyn Skye's, The Prodigy Slave, three book series.
There are no words to express how I feel after reading the tale of James and Lilly's story of life and love through the tumultuous times of slavery , war and her rise to become a world renown pianist. They both lived unbelievable lives which at times one would not have expected them to live through. My praise to the author for putting so much time and effort to add so many true to life moments and historical data. History is full of true stories of the slave "mastas" who lay with female slaves by force and fathered many mulatto children. We know that much is true, but as to whether there was actually a slave owner who professed to love a slave and would give up everything to be with her, I have yet to read about. I give this book 5 stars.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Wow what a book. I was thinking as I was reading book to that nah this is just some slavery fantasy story especially when all the sex was going on between James and Lily. Howeva as I kept reading and made my way to book 3. I saw all the different characters in the roles they played coming to an invalid out and leaving the true leaders of the story to finish their story. I thank you Londyn for such a beautiful story filled with romance drama intrigued, balance by characters from every book I could ever imagine . Hatred jealousy pure unconditional love. Even more shocking is I did not find one spelling error.
This novel brought strong emotions out of me that I didn't think would come out by just reading a book. I love the way this author writes. Not many authors could bring out this strong of emotions out of me like this. I felt that I could actually see the characters in my mind's eye. I was soo, I can't even explain it express my feelings in writing. That's how good these novels were. I read all of them. I didn't want them to end. This author is GREAT!!! Please keep novels like these coming. I'll read them all.
Well written and Beautifully told. One of the best IR historical romance stories I've read in years. I fell in love too with the characters. Lily and James' story had me on a roller coaster ride. Loved it...even though I hate roller coasters. 😄😄 I had to keep double checking the name of the author because I could have sworn I was reading one of Mercedes Keyes or Beverly Jenkins interracial historical romances. Keyes and Jenkins are two of the best. Miss Skye you are among the best.
This book was the third and grand finale to a story that you will never forget. A must read in order is the best advice I can give. I had to give this book 5 stars, it's really a 10! I enjoy books that pull you in so deep, you feel like you're actually standing right beside each character experiencing each moment with them. Each book is long, but I think it was necessary to be able to tell this story the way it should be told. I loved it with all my heart.
After reading book 1, I wrote a bad review because I was so enraptured with the characters the author made so real, I couldn't stand to go on to read James and MJ's coupling. I didn't like so many explicit sex scenes, or poem, so I skipped over them. MS Skye is an imaginative, gifted writer. She spared no details in pouring life into the story . I cried, laughed, and was angered at different times throughout the series . IL never forget this story.
Great read! Sad ending, but beautiful! I was glad that Lily made peace with her Dad....sad that he committed suicide, and she never got to see him. Sad that Lily's father never knew she was very talented at piano playing. Happy that she got to know her brothers , and they accepted her. Happy she got to locate her mom! I wished it could had been known that Isabel son was the cause of some of Lily's and James's problems. Overall a good book!
I never thought that I could love a book about a slave woman, and a white man, but this being a work of fiction, I allowed myself to this time. It was such a touching love story. It was filled with pain of loss, happiness of finding love again. And it detailed the tragedy of what centuries of US hereditary chattle slavery did to so many lives, that couldn't be ignored. However love conquered it all.
I cried tears of joy while reading this enduring story of two people deeply in love. Lily and James’s love transcended through turbulent times and great loss. In the end their lives were interwoven through the pain of a love, more precious than life itself. While reading how Lily’s parents live mirrored her own was heartfelt and that James’s love for Lily proved he had the fortitude to see that all of his wife’s dreams came true.
I have never shed so many tears reading a book before. This series is a must read if you read book 1 you will not be able to stop you will gladly look for the others. Heartbreaking, heartwarming, gut wrenching, death, violence, dreams and love till these pages. You will never be able to guess what will happen next. I highly recommend you read book one and continue on thru the rest of the series.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💖💖💖💖💖💖
I wasn’t ready for this heart-wrenching finale. This story took me on a rollercoaster of emotions, from anger to balling with a stuffy nose cry—nevertheless, the story had me from the first book. I tried not to cry several times—yeah, that didn't work. A well-written story.
This saga should be in Hollywood read the final chapter three times and cried all three times this might sound funny but my heart plummet when James discovered what had happened to Lily I felt so sad for James ... This saga is what you will call A Good Read looking forward to reading more of your books .
Oh my God. I loved reading all three of Prodigy Slave. You are an exceptional writer. I put my days on hold to read all three books. Please write more about our life as African Americans or Black people during the difficult time of slavery. Our people struggled, worked hard, were mistreated yet they survived
The final in the trilogy had just as many surprises, albeit more joyful than the previous two books. But I enjoy happy endings a d this did not disappoint despite me shedding many tears. Lots more detailed lovemaking in this book, almost to excess, is why I only gave it 4 stars.
I thoroughly DEVOURED this trilogy!! I read all 3 books within 5 days. Ms. Skye's portrayal of the time period and the complexities of interactions (relationships) was masterful. How prejudices are taught by acrions and words.
I especially was struck amd angered by the BACKWARDS (ignorant) thinking that was actually written into "law" as The Slave Codes.
Lily and James story was a mix of sadness, awe, passion and over all courage. These books were written with thought and left me completely satisfied at the conclusion.
I loved everything about this book. I was in tears, I laughed and I was in awe... The fact that I felt like I was at the show and could feel what they were seeing was unbelievable. BEAUTIFUL ENDING!!!
I laughed, cried, and talked about this book to a dear friend we both agree it needs to be a movie. I hate James and Lily didn't get back at MJ because their love should have been rubbed in her face
