A collection of nice, and possibly a bit more than a little naughty, holiday inspired tales from ten Reverse Harem authors. Featuring contemporary and paranormal authors.
Naughty is the new nice, so this year, Let's Scrooge!

Short christmas stories from RH authors. Most are extras for current stories. Average 3.5 stars.
1. Candycane wars:- A supernatural spy academy special by Avery Song. Already off to a bad start. I’m pretty sick of the academy RH. I haven’t read the series so the characters were just names and it was just sex with a candy cane theme. 2 stars.
2. A very bound merry Christmas by H.A Wills. Another series I haven’t read but as intending to. So spoilers for myself on this one. Set several years after the end books. A mix of sex and cuddly moments. You can tell that they’re survivors. I’m looking forward to this series. 3 stars.
3. A Christmas Karen: A succubus tale by Jaquelyn Faye. Kara from Succubus soccer mom pulls the three ghost trick on Karen. Fun, sweet. Doesn’t interfere with the main story so can be read as a standalone without getting confused. The puppy was adorable. 4.5 stars.
4. Mountains and mistletoe by Jarica James. Set in the Obsidian cove world but AU timeframe. Supposedly can be read as a stand-alone but I got confused with the characters. Second try at a family visit. Sweet but it is academy so I’m gonna skip this series. 3 stars.
5. Charming Christmas by Katie May. Extra for Charming devils and one I have actually read. A little dramatic but mostly sweet. Lucas still has a dark side but doting. 4 stars.
6. The drunk girl:- A cleaner’s holiday story by L.L Frost. Set the Christmas before Succubus bargain. Feels like a sequel but I didn’t recognise any of the characters. I liked the relationship and most of it was story, a little bloody for Christmas but enjoyable and I was curious about both Sharpe and Marc. 4 stars.
7. O come, o come Evangeline by M.J. Marstens. Short story that goes with Motherf*cker. Evangeline returns to butcher religion once again. So so wrong but so funny and awkward. 4 stars.
8. When I think of you, I touch my elf: A darkness rising novella prequel by R.L. Caulder. An interesting one and the first book is on my TBR. A family of fosters in love with each other. It was awkward and innocent. 4 stars.
9. A performed Christmas by Suki Williams. Sequel to Performed in the Besties & booze series. Christmas fluff. I liked it, soft and sweet. A bit of humour as well. 4 stars.
10. A midnight hollow christmas: an encore of dead end by Madeline Fay and Penn Cassidy. Sequel to one I haven’t read and probably won’t, since it’s bully. Saying that though, it does sound interesting. I liked the spider and Damon. 3 stars.

I always say I don't like anthologies, but I can never help myself and read them anyway. After finishing up (I did skip one story) there's two new to me authors I'll continue with. (I had read books from five of the authors previously). Most of these continue on from existing series, which for the most part I hadn't read. You'd probably get a lot more out of it if you've already been exposed to them. The smut level varies wildly- from nothing else in the story to a grand finale. There wasn't always a lot of plot (especially in the 'nothing else' variety mentioned previously) but they were generally pretty fun.
1 Avery Song was literally just awesome smutness, it was glorious. 2 H. A. Wells was even smuttier and will be reading this whole series, as I've not yet read it. 3 Jacquelyn Faye was pretty darned awesome, I'm hopeful she makes it into a full series. 4 Jarica James is absolutely amazing, whole new paranormal I've never read about. 5 Katie May's book isn't one I've found before so that was something to look forward to. 6 L. L. Frost is definitely super festive and will definitely be looking for the series. 7 M. J. Marsten was an awesome mini book that reminded me of home alone. 8 R. L. Caulder was a cute Christmas contemporary setting with a prequel to the harem. 9 Suki Williams is a cute contemporary romance on gifting at Christmas. 10 Madeline Fay and Penn Cassidy was like a naughty night before Christmas. Pretty much all of these series is added to my pile of to reads. Can't wait to read more. JL
Anthologies are hard to write reviews for to be honest. I'm not familiar with all authors or their stories.
So to keep it global I absolute adore this idea to write small epilogues or encores or prequels or even small stories which run next to their main series.
Some stories I skipped because it wasn't my genre or series and left to much questions. Others I devoured ill say something short about those.
Katie May Charming Devils story; I LOVED the big stand alone and was squeeling when I saw she also wrote a small story about my favorite a-holes, it was short and sweet packed with drama to get them even closer together, thank you for giving us a small snippet of them.
Suki Williams: Hollis is my spirit animal and in this sweet story we get to see her grow better at all the emotional stuff as her relationship evolves even with the boys
I only read the novella by MJ Marstens, although I plan to come back and read the rest of these stories from these amazing authors!
The after story novella for MJ's book, "Motherf*cker", makes me want to read it all over again! I legit laughed out loud, and it was EXACTLY what I needed! I identified SO HARD with all the little mom bits now that the group has a kiddo. "O Come, O Come, Evangeline" is the perfect holiday (or any time) read! This book is a contemporary RH romance novella. It is a quick read with just hints at the steam contained in the original novel.
Ok start with a disclosure I have not read all the stories so will add more to review as I get through them. I started with MJ's story which was perfect short and funny! I have not yet read the book that precedes this but will be doing so! It's just the perfect amount to whet your appetite and make you want to find out how their story began! Ok first time reading R.L. Caulder - it's a prequel and it does a great job of a dramatic build up and leave you hanging! I need to know what happens next. More to come....
Read it for O Come, O Come Evangeline, but kept reading for all the other wonderful little stories. I enjoy books like this and hope to see more collections from these guys in the future! Of course Evangeline’s story was the BEST! Adored getting to meet her little angel and seeing her cause a little more mischief, and the surprise at the end was just perfect.
I'd probably have gotten more out of this if I had read half of the series that these stories, are connected to. Most of the stories, if not all, are connected to ongoing or completed series so it is almost necessary to have read that series to get the benefit of the story
I’ll admit I didn’t read every short in here only the authors I’m familiar with but the ones I finished were hilarious. MJ Marstens and Jacqueline Faye were my absolute favorites. I loved that they added on to stories I already fell in love with and gave me another peek back into those worlds!
I got this book because there were several stories of characters I have read that take place in their future. I loved those stories and just had to read the rest. All of them were perfect Christmas reads.
A great collection of shorts from some of my fave RH authors! Loved seeing more of Evangeline from MJ Marstens, still one of my fave characters. Also more of Kara from Jaqcquelyn Faye! Great holiday read, get stuck in for some holiday fun.
I struggled with this mainly because I haven’t read any of the books that these were prologues or stories that took place after the series. Each story was steamy, but I just had a hard time connecting because I wasn’t familiar with the characters or their story lines.
I love/hate relationship with these kinds of books. I love i can find new authors to follow. Sad when its just a short story or part of a story that i have to wait for or never comes out. I found some stories i really love in this set. There was some that just weren't my cup of tea.
What a great read. I found some great new authors and got to check in on some of my favorite characters. Highly recommend. Every story in this book was great. A definite must read for all reverse harem fans.
This was a fun read! Anthologies are cool cause you usually hear about it from an author you really like. Then get to read a few others that make your TBR lost even longer!
Fun and fast. And lots of looks into our favorite RH series. I loved it. 😍 so many short stories. Although. You won't be lost if you just read this book. You will be pulled in and be searching down the beginnings. 😃 heat level is definitely off the charts. 😏
Only read Marstens' "Motherf*cker"-related story and it was all I could ever want. Short, adorable, uplifting and funny as hell. So glad to see more of Evangeline and her men!
Read it for O Come, O Come Evangeline, but all the other stories were great too! I got to read short stories of books I hadn't read in the past, and now I am going back and reading some of them because they were so good. I enjoy books like this and hope to see more collections from these authors in the future! Of course Evangeline’s story was the BEST! Adored getting to meet her little angel and seeing her cause a little more mischief!
