The series didn't end as strong as it started but it was still an enjoyable read. I think the romance was a little lackluster but Lucifer and Hannah were interesting characters separately and that made up for their lack of chemistry

***SPOILERS***

Right...so six months off from the last book. Lucifer is trapped in heaven (you'll have to read to find out why) and Hannah issssss......dun dun duuuuuun..... PREGNANT with lucifer's devil spawn

I'm not going to lie, i wrote this book off as soon as i found that out but alas here we go.

The first half of the book is these three (I see you are sticking around Adam, you fucking moose knuckle) dweebs releasing Pestilence, War and Famine from their prisons.

Adam gets taken over by Pestilence and becomes a disgusting pus man with no hair and has the worst halitosis known to man

Lucifer is a fucking moron and decides to be taken over by War and turns in to a twat waffle

AND HANNAH... well this dickhead decides she wants in and takes Famine for herself.

Now....Adams a weak little pussy boy (first husbands lol) and gets ridden by Pestilence like the fucking cabana boy. Lucifer almost succumbs to the same fate, but apparently, Hannah suddenly has the strength of 10 Supernaturals and takes control of Famine. She then proceeds to help lucifer do the same.

This bitch.

I had to put this book down for a bit at this point because, like....all I wanted was some smut. But now, I'm reading about these fucking morons making decisions that children would make, when they are older than the world. Also, how is Hannah still up the duff. Some women bend over and loose a baby, but this nincompoop fights Supernatural beings and welds angel powers but her babs is super cool?

Now Adam decides to be a typical cuck and decides he's sick of old Luci fucking his woman and tries to kill her. This is one of the most built up confrontations of the trilogy and it ends with such a lacklustre fight that I'm confident it's an accurate representation of Adams prowess as a man.

To celebrate, Lucifer buys Hannah a new house. Bitches love houses

Now, the second half of this book is just plain old ridiculous. These two Muppets won't stop referring to themselves as "gods" can anyone say superiority complex?

So at first these two just talk about being parents, and while I was so bored I thought my brain might start melting, we eventually got to a bit of action.

They decide to go to hell to make sure death is still in his prison, and while they are there they are reunited with their three headed hellhound Cerberus

Now while Cerberus is the best thing to happen to this book, I want to reiterate how much these people are utter fucks.

THEY CLOSED HELL OFF TO EVERYONE A BAJILLION YEARS AGO AND LEFT THEIR DOG BEHIND!!!!!

It was hard to concentrate after that little fact came to light, and any sympathy I had for these characters fucked all the way off.

In a twist noone saw coming (s), Death was freed. He took it upon himself to kidnapped the devil spawn and as it's described in the book SEVERAL times, A mother's love will move mountains. Now the three of you I know with kids, please. Tell me what mountain you have physically shifted as of late??? You should be able to do it seeming as she said it like 14 times. I have assumed it's not a metaphor any more.

So the mountain mover decides she's getting her kid back. Weird choice but whatever

She gets to hell and who pops up?? FUCKING ADAM.

This cunt. I swear to christ.

She finally does something right and straight up murders that cracker and that's the end of that.

Now to deaths demise. Hold on to your hats ..... he was defeated with a LOVE CIRCLE

you heard me!!!!! A motherfucking circle of love! BECAUSE LOVE BEATS ALL

Fuck. You.

And of course because nothing is real everyone lives happily ever after for all of time

Fuck you, love circles. Fuck you, hot seed jizz. Fuck you, roaring orgasms.

one thing I can say about this series is that it’s addicting. There were so many things I didn’t like but I couldn’t stop reading. I had to know what was going to happen next.

pros -
• one word - BELIAL 😛😮‍💨 His growth was the most interesting part of this entire series. He carried it on his back and he was maybe in it for 25%. I’ll be picking up book 4 to read more of his story
• I’d be interested in Aurora’s story if the author ever writes it. I’d like to see what all her powers might be

cons -
• this series is so similar to the tv show Lucifer (it starts to stray from the show as the books progress but in the beginning of book 1 it felt like deja vu)
• the constant repetition drove me insane. I ended up skimming most of book 3
• the character power-ups (Hannah and Lucifer’s) were way too unbelievable, even for a fantasy book. Every time something bad would happen the characters would just be given more and more power to the point where there was no possible way they could lose any of the battles that were happening. There never was a moment where I was scared that a character would die because I knew the author would just save them by revealing a new power they had
• I didn’t read the connecting series to these books that follow Hannah and Lucifer’s son and I feel like there was a disconnect between my feelings on the characters because of it. This is totally my fault but I wouldn’t have been sad if anyone died

** I want it noted that this author has written one of my favorite shifter romances (Moon Touched 🤤❤️‍🔥). I’m still a big fan of the author; this series just wasn’t for me!

This is the third and final book of Hannah and Lucifer's story. It starts off months after the end of Devilish Mate and Hannah is scrambling for a way to free Lucifer from War. There are many twists and turns as well as action, betrayal and love. The plot is interesting and I honestly wasn't sure where things would end up. It was easy to read, fast paced, and very entertaining. Can't wait for the spin off series!

4.5 stars. For me the first book, Demon King, was my favorite book in the series with Infernal God coming in second.

It was a fitting end to the series and I enjoyed reading it.

SPOILER FREE

Good start in book one, even though it felt like the tv series. This is a review for book 2 and 3, will post it with both.

But I hated these books, and here is why:
(Spoilers coming)

1. I hate pregnancy trope, but it kind of fitted in the story so I ignored it for as long as I can
2. Your fucking son tries to overthrow his fathers kingdom, kidnaps his mother and almost starts an apocalypse, but you still forgive him???? Big no
3. Hannah just like that wins from an elder god living in her body, while all Lucifer needs is a hug from Hannah and all is good? Too easy, even for a fantasy book.
4. Everything happens at once or nothing at all for quite a while.
5. Plot hole: chapter 25, brandy is a first time mom. Didn’t she like have a son in book one, where did he go, also her very sick mother is cured and then disappears completely ??? Very weird

Other books from this author are way better, and I think she wanted too much in too small books.

I will not read the 4th book about Belial, because he annoys me and I don’t want to see him happy🙈

a solid 3 stars. I was really into the first two books and was really excited to see where the story went as it concluded. But this book felt very repetitive and long winded. The MCs were given every power up possible and nothing really felt like a threat. the story just went a little stagnant. I enjoyed the characters. All of them really. Hannah was great. Lucifer was fun. Zel is amazing and I might be in love with her. I would’ve loved to see more of their sons. And to have seen more of Olivia and her harem. But overall this conclusion just fell a little flat for me.

I wasn’t impressed. I had to read it to finish the trilogy. But, honestly, I didn’t love the second book either, so I wasn’t expecting much from this one. I was right. There was just a lot of filler. Like I get that they love each other and have to fight for it. But it was just boring to me.. and repetitive. I think they even said they’d been “thinking about moving” 5 times in one chapter. Anyway, this book was fine, but I was just ready for it to be over.

Lucifer/War manages to escape from Heaven before Hannah and the gang have found a way to kill War and save Lucifer.

Hoping the Fae king has an answer, she travels to ask for his help. And he does have an answer of sorts. Or at least an idea. A truly terrible idea but it’s more than they have otherwise.

Can they save Lucifer and defeat War? And hopefully destroy Adam/Pestilence once and for all?

A definite HEA to the series so my little romance-loving heart is happy.

I loved all the positive messages woven throughout…love really does conquer all!

Some things felt a little rushed which made me keep thinking that there was going to be an evil plot twist around the corner, but that never happened. It almost made certain events seem too easy and kind of anticlimactic, unfortunately.

The way they just defeated the elder gods and stole their powers. These elder gods that are ancient, even by immortal standards, that are “unkillable”…just *poof*! And they were gone with barely a page of internal battle. But the victors became the elder gods. Except not. Because they were still themselves. But not quite. And they had the horsemens’ powers. And their horses. But they weren’t quite the elder gods now. But they were more than immortal. Too easy and also too confusing.

I also feel like Death wasn’t powerful enough. They were all dreading his arrival like he was the ultimate big bad. He could kill with barely a lift of his finger, and then resurrect his own zombie army that would just keep getting up unless beheaded. So why didn’t he just kill all of Lucifer and Hannah’s army as soon as they arrived and turn them to his own bidding? And why was Belial able to defeat him when he wasn’t stronger than Lucifer, and Death should’ve been harder to beat than War?

And is it just me or were a lot of side characters barely mentioned until the end? Theon’s betrayal wasn’t really explained properly, especially seeing as Hannah could’ve read his aura (and presumably did, I honestly can’t remember at this point) the whole time he was guarding her. Plus he never had any page time after his betrayal until his death. It just felt like it was totally glazed over.

Then there’s High King Oberon. Supposedly suuuuuper powerful and malicious to his core. No one wants to upset him for fear of what he’d do. But then we never hear anything of him after their visit to Faerie! What was the point in portraying him as a badass asshole? I know there’s Belial’s boom after this and perhaps it was just groundwork for that. However the groundwork will only be set again in that book if it is the case so still seemingly pointless.

I had more questions about menial things but I can’t remember what they are now.

Anywho…I know I’ve ranted as usual and made it all sound negative. But I did enjoy it! Honest! I’m just the nitpicky type.

Note - vague suggestions about what happens int he story but nothign specific!

Over lockdown Elizabeth Briggs has fast become one of my favourite authors. Her books are full of complex characters that you quickly - sometimes unexpectedly - route for!

This book is the last in a trilogy, and starts where book two left us, with Lucifer now the God/Horseman of War traped in heaven and Hannah his mate of a thousand lives tryignt o find a way to bring him back to her and their family, without allowing the Giod of War part of ovetake him completely and destroy the world.

Compared to her other stories there is less team, because there is SO much going on there is not time for it - yet, I did not find I missed it until I had gotten to the end of the book and realised. Which shows how good the book is.

Only gripe is the story is obvious, the lull of peace and clam in the middle like the eye of the storm as it were, made it feel lacklustre and boring - although it was needed to enable that final battle for the life they wanted to have.

I read this trilogy after reading her reverse harem series the Seraphim Academy (which I gave a full five stars too). This series focuses on the demon king and queen and they are so well developed an dportrayed throughout the series... Without Seraphim Academy I would not have been so intrigued by Lucifier and his relationship, but for a spin off this trilogy was so fab.

Looking forward to reading much more from Elizabeth Briggs in the future!

The books keep getting shorter and shorter each time!
Isn't it weird how Lucifer is from Heaven and his father is from hell. I know his mom was an angel. Death was trying to make a perfect blend of dark and light. Baal is a vampire and his mom from Faerie. Lol Idk it was just crazy to think .. like how did the author decide which God came from which Realm.
The war is finally over and it was a CRAZY story. Imagine losing your mate over and over for thousands of years. I think Lucifer and the kids suffered the most though. They had to live through losing her and finding her as someone new and reminding her of who they are then once all is good loosing her again. She just had to go through the pain and regret for not being there and missing so much - and of course dying lol

Theo - now that really came out of left field. I was not expecting that at all! He was so protective of her, especially when she was pregnant. He had so many opportunities. He knew what they were planning to do with Adam (putting him in the cave) so I am surprised he didn't warn him. I guess he just wanted to bide his time.

I think when Beleil really changed. He said he is fine but losing your soul .. there had to be something going on that we are not being told. IDK. I still kinda hate him a little. lol
I can't wait to read his story next. I hope Damien will get a story too... I didn't realize Kassian and his crew had a story either but I am totally looking forward to reading that soon.

This book gave me conflicting thoughts.

I really enjoyed the beginning: I was actually excited for it because finally, there was SOMETHING going on besides Adam being a threat or the Archdemons attacking here and there.

Unfortunately, Lucifer being overtaken by War only lasted before the 40% mark, and even then, there wasn’t a big “oh my god you remember me”. It felt really anticlimactic. I wish we would have seen him internally battling with himself more before he recovered.

Don’t get me started on what happened after that. Can you take a guess? Nothing. Nothing happened. Until almost 70% of the book, I was reading complete filler. which by the way, should not exist on the last book of a series. ESPECIALLY filler that takes up 30% of the book. I have never skimmed so much pages before.

But finally, finally, we got to the actual plot of the book. That’s the only reason I couldn’t give this book two stars.

But with this series done and finished, I still feel unsatisfied. The first book was good, it’s unfortunate that it couldn’t end on the same level it started on.

Nonetheless, it wasn’t bad, but it could have had so much potential.

Readers of the Claimed by Lucifer series probably assumed Adam couldn't be any bigger of a $#ithead, but Adam inside Pestilence... so much worse, and that is but a single flame in the many fires Hannah has to extinguish. Infernal God is the final book in this series and not a whole lot happens - scratch that - try everything happens - like 99 Problems and an Elder God IS one! Lucifer, now stuffed into War's angry clutches has two goals, escape Heaven and make the woman who imprisoned him pay. The newest Demon Queen has other plans however and doesn't plan on allowing the Elder God War to mantrum his way across Sin City. This book is Claimed by Lucifer's storyline pinnacle. Infernal God is action, lust, love, betrayal, and new beginnings.

*Note - I was going to demand (beg) Elizabeth Briggs to write Lucifer's oldest son's story... and then I read the author's note at the end of Infernal God... and what do you know... coming soon... Death Lord - Belial's series - no demanding (begging) required.

Omg! Wonderful end to this trilogy!!

Infernal God is an absolute wonderful story and I loved it from beginning to end. Lucifer/War has made his way out of Heaven and he is desperate to find Hannah... to make her pay!! Since he gave up his memories of Hannah to take on War, he doesn't understand why he is so desperate for her. Thankfully Hannah uses the power of love and her angel ability to help lucifer take back over and get his memories back.

Now they are trying to find the other elder gods before Adam/Pestilence releases them.

There is so much about this story that I loved... Hannah becoming an elder God, the birth of their daughter, all of their children being together again... sigh. 😍😍😍 lucifer in this book is just ahhhmazing! I loved his and Hannah's story!! And I totally can't wait to read Belial's story... my heart just breaks for him.

I'm also hoping that one day we'll get Liliths story!!

I recieved an ARC for my honest review.

This one just fell flat

The first two books were AMAZING! I loved them. This one fell flat. I got about half way through at the beginning of this year. After the big epic battle it just came to and point that I then decided I was done. I put it off for months because it basically felt in the middle of the book the ending was there and it was instead pushing to make and finalize a story that already had an ending. I just picked it back up to finish before the end of the year because I hate to leave something "unfinished" and I got about 20% through it more and have decided to full on stop. I sadly can't finish this one even though I loved the first two. In my mind it completed so forcing myself to read it was not working. Sadly I feel like the author had a certain length that she had to complete for the books for it to be considered done and it is like pulling teeth to try and finish.

Again first two books were Epic! So I am sad and sorry this one is on a DNF list.

My Rating: ❤️❤️❤️❤️.5

General Thoughts: A good conclusion to an enjoyable series featuring a Hades & Persephone fated mates across time trope, which is my favorite thing! I will never NOT read this setting, so so glad I picked this one up. I would have read this series a lot sooner if I had known what it was.

I binge-read this entire series and the related series in 2 days. Yep that's 7 books in 2 days. PNR is just so bingeable. I love it.

Lucas Ifer may be one of my favorite characters written.

If you are a PNR fan, check this one. It's a good series.

Steam Meter: ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 Pretty steamy and hot.

Romantic Tropes
-interconnected spin-off series
-trilogy (with a related fourth book)
-fated mates/soul mates across time
-morally grey MMC
-Hades and Persephone retelling

An apocalypse like no other.

The final chapter in Lucifer and Hannah’s story is amazing! I love the juxtaposition. In Book 1, Lucifer tried to get Hannah to remember who she is. In Book 3, Lucifer has lost his memories of her and its Hannah’s goal to get them back so he can overcome War. Together they are unstoppable and must defeat the other horsemen all while keeping their family together!

Everything about this story was just right. Hannah and Lucifer’s story has withstood many lives and the test of time. And there are still so many stories left untold in this world as we meet new characters that are just as intriguing. The author will definitely revist in the near future. (Hello Belial!) I look forward to the next time we visit this world. It always leaves me wanting more and never disappoints.

I RECEIVED AN ARC COPY OF THIS BOOK

Infernal god is the third book in the Claimed by Lucifer series and concludes the story of Hannah & Lucifer and their battle to stop the horsemen of the apocalypse and Adam who has now become Pestilence's host.

The book starts a few month after book 2 ends with Lucifer/War locked in heaven and Hannah on earth, pregnant, trying to find out how to save Lucifer and rule the demons in his place.

To say this book is less than 300 pages, so much happens! It is great to see demons, angels and fae all work together to try and stop the apocalypse from happening as each horseman is released.

I will say Hannah and Lucifer didn't have the chemistry, tension and romance I would have expected in this book but I think the action and plot made up for it and kept me needing answers throughout!

Fun action and danger! Super sweet and passionate connection between Lucifer and Hannah! This is book 3 and the finale, so I’d recommend reading the previous books for the best reading experience. Lucifer is having memory issues after the events of the last book, so he’s not thinking very clearly about Hannah; he just knows he needs to find her. Hannah is trying to restore Luc’s memories, but things aren’t going to be easy. Evil people on the loose cause even more problems for Lucifer and Hannah! Cool vibe to the story, sweet and passionate connection between Luc and Hannah; I’ve always loved their chemistry, and exciting action make this story very entertaining! Really enjoyed this whole series!

Good read...

I give the series overall 4 stars. The 1st book was the best. The 2nd book was still pretty good. Both the 1st and 2nd books are deserving of the 4 stars however book 3 was not nearly as good. I struggled a little to get through book 3 as most of the book just seemed like the author was filling up pages with only a handful of chapters having any real substance. Not to mention there were several instances where I cringed from the cheese levels.
But I love Hades (Lucifer) and Persephone (Hannah) stories and overall this was a pretty good one as it had a good storyline, one I haven't come across yet. The characters were fun and likable and there was just the right amount of action and steamy scenes - at least in books 1 & 2.

So this is the third book of a 4-book series. I enjoyed first two books; however, I find that the list of characters in this third book has gotten out of control. I try to remember who they are and what species they are (succubus, incubus, demon, angel, archangel, gargoyle, etc....) This I found to be distracting and took away from the storyline, which author seems to be struggling to draw....the.....story......out.....to......make.......a.......book 4. I know what book 4 is about, but am not in love enough with any of the characters to care what happens. (but I have a pretty good idea)

Author did well in first two books, and could have (and should have) made this a 2 book series. Then it would have received higher praise.

Infernal God was MUCH better than the second book in the series, mainly because there was significantly less focus on the "romance" and more on the action. A group of rebels are bent on overthrowing Lucifer as leader, and are unleashing the Elder Gods as it's believed they're the only beings strong enough to do so. To fight back, Hannah and co unleash the other Elder Gods to fight them - the logic is a bit flawed, but I'll ignore that.

I will probably forget all about this series in a few weeks, but it was very easy to read and entertaining enough. The whole idea of "love conquers all" is a very cute idea despite being a bit ridiculous in this context. As long as you overlook how nonsensical everything is, this is a fun time.
