Annaleia Faith awakened something dangerous in Antares half a century ago, something he fiercely suppressed in order to keep her safe. But when she disappeared without a trace after their first night together, he vowed to never hold that part of himself back again.
Now, fifty years later, he’s found her. But she has a secret, one she especially has to keep from Antares, because learning it would once and for all unleash that ancient, volatile monster inside him.
As a crazed stalker leaves a bloody trail behind him on his hunt for Annaleia, and the living embodiment of chaos begins to set the world on fire, Antares tries to protect his first and only love once more. But this time, he won’t be restraining the dragon inside to do so.
And neither will she.

I have read & !loved everything this author has written, with this latest book within the world of The Monsters, who are by the way are but are also so much more, I cannot wait for every characters story to unfold, I just know each one will be amazing! Back to this book though, the content of this book is so much more than the usual genetic stories in this genre & that is a testament to the talent & quality of Heathers writing, & story telling ability which is by far superior to many authors. There is the main storyline & characters plus so many side plots and hints at future story lines, of character development and future pairings it's impossible to skip through or read quickly as the reader needs to pay attention to every page as the content is full, rich & complex, fabulous read and highly recommended by this reader, enjoy!! I certainly did........
Every time i read the last page of a book by the brilliantly talented Heather Killough-Walden, i think she won't be able to beat this BUT then i read her next book and BOOM she does it again. Hour of the Dragon is no exception. Spanning 50+ years you are taken on a journey of true love, monsters of all descriptions, with a story line that keeps you wondering how it will play out. Surprises dotted along the way to keep you on your toes. Just when you think you have worked it out then you find you are nowhere near. It's exciting, thrilling, sad, a myriad of emotions being played out by such awesome characters. Somebody somewhere needs to make these stories into movies. PLEASE. Thank you for another great adventure Heather. When's the next one coming out?!! Highly Recommend this and all other reads by the magical Heather Killough-Walden
Heather continues to keep it great! Monsters is going to be another strong and truly enjoyable series. Characters are well defined, plot is engaging and seamless from one book to the next. The book has great twists and turns and keeps you on your toes. When you think everything is resolved you soon find out it's not. Situations flow beautifully from one scenario to another. I just wish so much time did not pass between books. But, it is usually worth the wait.
I don't want to go into much detail and spoil anything for anyone. I can say that I loved the story of Annaleia and Antares. Actually I thoroughly enjoyed all the characters in this one. Oddly enough I even love how Heather wrote Randall. He's so dark and twisted. You want him to get what's coming to him. Absolutely loving the web you so carefully weave Heather!
What a wonderful journey spanning over 50 years! This book takes you through a roller coaster of emotions. These characters has so many storylines, plots and twists; of which I truly enjoyed. This author really knows how to sew it all together like a quilt. Which wraps the reader into a cozy place and by the last page hating to take the quilt off.
Good solid read although not the author at her best. The explosive chemistry between the H & H was lacking, sorry to say. The story was solid. Strong supporting characters and setup for the next book in the series. Cannot wait for #3!
